We ended up sitting for almost 3 hours on a Sat night. No one rushed us. We’ll definitely go back
Disappointed this time. Lobster Mac and cheese dry and tasteless. Had to wait a long time for drinks and one was wrong so had to wait even longer for everyone have their drinks. Apps came out in slow stages. I had a dirty knife. The place has gone downhill.
Hostess was very unhappy when we asked for a different table, as we didn’t want to be seated next to a large party with 4 kids under the age of 2. There were numerous empty tables, and we were relocated to another one without a comment...not even a response to our expression of thanks; she just dropped the menus and walked away.
Food was uncharacteristically unsatisfying. Short rib tacos were lukewarm and dry; mahi-mahi was burnt (black) on top with overcooked rice. Oh, and the chips and pico appetizer was brought out about a minute (no exaggeration) before the entrees.
Looks like we’ll be taking a break from Woody’s for a very long while.
Always consistently excellent and this occasion was no exception!!!! Thank you!
Great night. Great food.
Food and service was great!
This was our 5th time at Woody's, food was delicious! The corned bef & cabbage meal for St. Patty's Day was a hit with my husband. We tried a new appetizer & liked it a lot. Our server let us enjoy the first course without coming over to ask for our main course items.
Bring back the wedge potatoes
Our table was available as soon as we arrived- For a Saturday night, at a busy restaurant - this was amazing and appreciated. Food was excellent too.
We had a wonderful time. The food was very good and our waiter was awesome.
Just amazing. Great food and service. Woodys never disappoints.
My pork chop was inedible which the manager readily agreed with. They brought me a burger quickly and to their credit never charged me for the burger. We've been here many times and if it weren't for the manager we'd probably not be going back so soon.
Our 4th time back. We are still trying to decide if it’s worth driving too. Again last night the servers are all over your table aggressively and constant to a fault. Yes good service is important but a marathon is not good service. The food is ok nothing you cant get elsewhere the decor is very clean and nice. I don’t think at this point we will return, Woodys needs to deliver the full restaurant experience including the food choices, taste and service.
Once again great dinner at Woody’s. I was unsure on what to have, but thought about having the Salmon with a sweet potato hash and garlic sautés asparagus, which was on the Specials Menu. Our server, Doug, highly recommended it and he was right. I told him it was the the best dish I have had there. And I have a lot of favorites. And five stars for our server, Doug, who made our visit on a very busy Saturday night, very enjoyable.
Nice atmosphere. Very tasty. Lobster sliders. Lobster bisque soup. And perfectly cooked steak! We would definitely recommend it
Excellent Andrew was very professional and attentive we love the restaurant fun and upbeat
Good friends, good food, great service. Thanks
Our party of 3 had a 6:30 Friday reservation. I was anticipating a noisy family atmosphere based on some other reviews, but did not experience this at all! We had a table downstairs to the right of the bar - all surrounding tables were other small groups of adults. Very lively, but not too noisy. Delicious and interesting menu, and we all loved our meals. I had a Mahi-Mahi special with rice and sweet potatoes. So good! Our server was very attentive, sweet, and took great care of us. I also loved my locally inspired cocktail - a Colts Neck Mule.
Food was good and the service was great. Went for quiet conversation and was seated at a table by the fireplace. It was not so loud and was a great evening. Wait staff was very accommodating and not pushy at all.
Showed up 5 minutes early with family. Had movie reservation s for after dinner. Hosted could not find our reservation. I showed her the confirmation on my phone. Would not acknowledge it. Said we had to wait up to 45 minutes. Would not attempt to accommodate anything earlier. Very disappointed. We had to eat elsewhere
First time here. Our waiter Doug was attentive and on point with specials, appetizers and beverages. Portions are plentiful (ie: wedge salad is really 2 wedges). Entrees were also well portioned. Will be back.
OpenTable took my reservation but the restaurant was closed! Not cool on Xmas Eve.
We love Woody's and go almost every Friday night... I have tried something new from the menu each time and it does not disappoint!
We were seated immediately in the fireplace room, which is my favorite. I ordered their specialty drink. The orange crush, which was mostly crushed ice. We shared the mussels which were excellent. I had the fish encrusted with sweet potato. It was not very good. It was some strands of shredded sweet potato and some shredded coconut on the fish. The fish still had some raw parts. It was bland and not cooked well. The coffee was very weak. We have had better meals here in the past. Hopefully it was just an off night.
Seared Tuna was excellent.
Our server Greg was wonderful.
I enjoy having dinner at Woodys. Our waiter Robert was very knowledgeable of the menu and is very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. We have had him many times before and always a positive experience. We have had the grouper, salmon, pasta dishes, hamburger etc all to be excellent.
Always solid; great apps and entrees; terrific cocktails
Had a lovely table right in front of the fire place. Service was great, food was delicious.
Food is always a solid choice. Can get corn tortillas so lots of options fit my GF lifestyle. Always seem to have an issue with tables. Was given a table surrounded by kids (for me and my husband) and then no one came over to get a drink started or acknowledge us . Was promptly moved away from kids and nonexistent server. next server was better. Hostess needs to look at the audience before making a seating decision.
Went for casual dinner early Friday. No problem getting a table. Overall the experience was good. Service was very good. just a few things to mention... my specialty drink was called "the painkiller" sounded good with rum pineapple coconut cream etc. what I got was a really strong unbalanced rum drink with hardly any pineapple or coconut flavor. the rum overpowered the whole thing (maybe thats the point?) it just didnt seem quite right. it was cloudy and served in a tall narrow glass overflowing with crushed ice. I drank it, but it didnt kill the pain. then the food... flavor combinations seem to be just a bit, shall we say, adventurous? oddball? we decided to order several small and large plates and share them among three of us. Chicken Quesedias were tasty and well prepared but they were served with sides of sour cream in one cup and marinara sauce in another. Kind of a strange choice I thought, for a tex-mex kind of dish with an Italian pasta sauce thrown in. When the fish & Chips arrived we asked for malted vinegar, (as any proper fish & chips should be paired with) they didnt have any. they served it with ketchup and some mayo based sauce, then they brought us Italian wine vinegar. The scallop dish was also interesting.... these were very nice size pan seared scallops that looked great. unfortunately, although the sear looked great on top they were definitely undercooked. if they flipped them for just another minute they would have been perfect. but that wasnt the odd part of the dish. Each was placed on top of a slice of cheese (queso fresco!) and a slice of tomato with a pesto sauce painted onto the plate. am I beginning to see a theme here? some kind of fusion of cultures and cuisines just added to plates haphazardly? to me it didnt really add up to well thought out dishes. Finally the mahi fish tacos were very good although they could have doubled up on the tortillas to make it easier to eat. Overall quite good (but definitely noisy)
Great service and friendly staff! Our waiter, Doug, was very friendly and took time to answer our questions, make suggestions and have a laugh. Food was great and the drink options were plentiful (and delicious).
Excellent place for a great meal at a reasonable price
Really enjoyed this place. Fun, energetic place with good food and nice bar. Everything was fresh. Good for date nite (although a noisy) or a family dinner. Will be back.
Food was excellent. Fresh and light. However the noise level was excessive, even painful, so was impossible to have a conversation. We were in a room adjacent to the bar, so perhaps that is why it was so bad.
Been there many times - one of my favorites - good food, nice atmosphere although rather noisy.
Service was great.
We've been going to this location since it was Charlie Brown's and its current form is the best yet. Expanding the bar and opening up the walls gives the room a much more welcoming feel.
I don't eat a lot of meat and sadly have a hard time finding something healthy and not too heavy on this menu, so we save the trips for when I'll eat a burger, which I did on this visit. The burger was great, and we got a nice bar table by a window. They have a good selection of wine and beer and the service is always consistently decent. Would love to see some lighter and healthier options on the menu under the salads and seafood!
Great experience, will be back!
The atmosphere was very welcoming. Service was excellent. Food was prepared properly and served hot.
the space was more than ample for proper seating. You didn't feel like you were on top of one another.
