Not a great experience unfortunately. Just moved to the area and wanted to try something new. Waitress was very slow and forgot to bring requested items multiple times. Food came out cold and taco meat fell thru the tortilla. Pork tacos were cut up pork chops. Had to use a fork and spoon to eat the tacos becuase you couldnt pick them up and eat them as normal. At the end, the lady came to the table to tell us that she hadnt brought a drink out because the soda machine was down. She told us this with food in her mouth, still chewing. Only a 10% tip was left.
My mother-in-law and I had a wonderful evening. We were accommodated beautifully with a fireside table close to entrance, so she did not have to walk too far. Service was prompt and courteous.
Thanks for a great evening!
Always fresh! Great staff and always love table # 23
Loved it! Made a reservation and were sat right away upon arrival. We ordered the honey glazed salmon and lobster tagitelle and both were fantastic. Highly recommend checking this place out- can’t wait to come back!
Food was better than typical bar menu. Tap craft beer disappointing. Service very good.
WOODY"S -Tried and True - Where should we go? I don't have time to cook. I worked really late. Well,it's time to go to Woody's. The drinks are great. The ambiance is relaxing - sit near the fireplace, maybe at the bar, try a hightop, or just enjoy being at a table. Every server is attentive and helpful! If Dawn's at the bar, you're in luck!
There's a nice cross section of items The burgers are great. The fish tacos are my favorite. You can't go wrong if you come on a Wednesday night for the lobster dinner.
I do have one complaint! The chips are TOO GOOD and I eat too many! OK, I guess a little self-control is in order!
I've been to Woodys a few times and have never had a bad meal. The Baja tacos and kale salad are my go it's almost every time. This last visit I had the shrimp appetizer special and it was the first time I was a bit disappointed. For $18.00 I would've expected better. They were good but not exceptional. Otherwise, everything was wonderful including our waitress!
Predictable, friendly, casual, neighborhood spot with good food and service. Great to bring my family or meet up with friends.
Shrimp was definitely not fresh. Waitress was s but inexperienced so our table service was limited.
Loved the food and service but noise level was very high. Loved the place though
We enjoyed the food. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was clean and relaxing. The fireplace was nice.
Nice place, new, good ambiance, sat near fireplace. great, tasty food, however our mahi menu dinners were quite small portions for a dinner menu.
The food was excellent. The service was awesome. The only downside was that the food came out very fast. We were barely done with our appetizers and the main entrees came out. The same for dessert. I think the only mention-able item would be to make slow that down a bit. Every we ate was excellent: the orange crush shrimp, cuban spring rolls, the Seared tuna, the lobster mac & cheese - all was very good!
There were only three options for dessert - we shared the brownie (with ice cream and whipped cream) that was huge (and good!).
Had a tasty dinner in this hopping, noisy, crowded on a Sat. night place. The Hudson Canyon salad was fabulous. The tuna was done exactly as ordered and was a high quality. Yummy dressing too & a lot of tuna on a huge mound of veggies. Hubby had burger & said it was delicious. Friend had baja tacos. Really liked them but thought it was a small portion.
The place was full and noisy. We sat upstairs which was a bit quieter. Nice service too.
Will definitely return (probably for that Hudson Canyon that's now in my dreams) but maybe during the week.
Great service. Good drinks!
Food is delicious
Menu reads very well but many dishes are hit or miss. Beer and wine selection is average if you like IPAs. The seating and ambience is nice but food doesn’t always hit the mark. When this place does well it is a good experience but it is hit or miss. Worth a try if you haven’t been here.
Wonderful place for families or couples!
Woody's is an all around place - on a date, out with friends , bringing the kids, early dinner, later at night - you can count on Woody's for a good meal, a drink, half price bottles of wine on Mondays, a lobster special night, and always GREAT chips!
Limited menu items outside of Tex-Mex and seafood. For those categories, great selection.
The service, food and ambiance were great. We had the orange shrimp appetizer. Mix of orange shrimp and dynamite shrimp, shrimp very very fresh. The Asian sticky wigs were good also. The brisket sliders were tasty but not huge. Very good place, not huge portions for the price but will definitely be back.
Everything was great.
Dinner was delicious- food was a ten. Had the bbq brisket sliders which I love! Shrimp tacos, guacamole is on point.
Our first time here and it was pretty good. The highlight was the Lobster Tagliatelle. It was really good. The shrimp tacos, wings and key lime pie were also good. Our server was nice and very informative about the menu items and various beers / drinks.
The place is casual, open and well lit. It's not romantic and there is no great view. Maybe it's not a date place but for good food, especially with kids or colleagues... it's a go.
Actually, it could be a date place if you are on your way to something else. You are hungry and you want a good, quick bite on your way to....
We really enjoy Woody's. Delicious Drunken Clams and Spring Lake Salad. Hubby once again had the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Yummy!
Another great meal at woodys good is always excellent- your dessert menu needs to be updated
Friendly service and the food is always great! We were just in for a quick bite and I tried the steak tacos. Delicious!
This was the 3rd time we ate a Woody's. It is a very casual place that has great food. Their Wedge salad is one of the best I've eaten. We had great service too. I would definitely recommend this place. Probably good to have a reservation on Saturday night.
Went here to catch up w a friend. Atmosphere was nice and the food was good but the service was very quick and we felt rushed.
Husband really enjoyed lobster special, friend thought turkey burger good. They were out of encrusted grouper and another encrusted fish by 6:15, so ordered salmon with plantains . It was good but overall with the sauce and coconut rice too much sweetness. Could have been more balanced with a non- sweet vegetable. Would try again.
Lots of varied menu choices - leaning towards Southwest style of cooking but traditional American favorites are also included. A good amount of gluten free choices are available too. Server, Doug, was terrific. He was very helpful with menu suggestions and attentive throughout our meal without hovering.
We'll definitely be back. The 'fish of the day' taco was wonderful. Freshly grilled salmon, a corn taco, lots of fresh veggies and a delicious sauce - yum!
Woody’s is fantastic. You are greeted with a smile and your servers are polite and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. We are never disappointed.
My friend and I meet here monthly for lunch. We love the menu and fresh tacos they serve. The staff is very considerate and never rushes you.
Tried Woody's with the family on a busy Saturday night. 6:45 reservation and we got seated promptly -- so glad we made a reservation because the place was packed with a lot of parties waiting. Waitress was really nice and did the best she could but the service was painfully sloooooowwwww and she looked stressed out. We didn't order anything complicated -- beers and wine -- and that took 15 minutes -- and we had to ask for water for the table. Dinner order took forever -- we were served entrees after 8 pm. Again, nothing fancy about our order -- 2 orders of short ribs, a burger and a seafood dish. Food was fine and the ambiance is a nice sports bar and famly-orineted with friendly staff. They just need to get their workflow fixed because it shouldn't be a 2 hour dinner when you go to a casual restaurant like this. A little pricy for the quality too.
Nice ambience. Very good food. Good cocktails. Service was very good. Overall, solid experience and would recommend.
Woody's was recommended by friends, this was our first visit. We were very impressed by the menu, the service and the ambiance. We were seated upstairs which was much quieter than the bustling bar area. We started with some excellent (not over-priced) margaritas and small plates of Islander pork and drunken clams, then had the Baja taco and the tuna taco. The pork was a meal in itself (I would not order it as an appetizer again unless I was very hungry). The clams were delicious, served with nuggets of spicy chorizo. Both tacos were good, but the Baja was much tastier. We will definitely be back.
OMG! The Orange Crush Shrimp is amazing! Sat outside on the patio on a lovely evening. It was great!
The octopus is incredible. Get it. Lobster night on Wednesdays and Tuesday taco or slider specials. Pricey but food is good. Get at least 3 baskets of chips and salsa. Take the food home. Lol.
Great service. Busy place. food was tasty but the clams were salty. Must love bacon to enjoy the clams.
Woodys never disappoints! Food is delicious and so much to choose from! Portions are large, too. Servers are friendly and never rush you! There is an upbeat vibe that makes eating at Woodys fun!
