Woodside Lodge Ratings and Reviews
We went to Woodside for an early Valentine day dinner. We were seated promptly in a smaller dining room by the front. It was nice and quiet. Perfect for the occasion. This was our first visit. We were very happy with the place. We enjoyed the valentine day menu. I had lobster and fillet, my wife had a stuffed chicken entree. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully. Our server was pleasant and showed exactly the right level of attention. I forget his name, I was kind of focusing on my wife but he was great.
We had a good experience at The Woodside Lodge. There were only a few things that made us rate the service just "good". First, it appeared that we only had one server for the entire room. There were so many bussers and other people standing around. Our water was never empty for long, but by the time we received our food, it was on the cold side. The food was really good, though we just wished we received it as soon as it was done. Again, the server was very friendly and hopefully it was just a bad night.
We love dining at the Woodside. They have great service, and the food is incredible. This visit we (my Goddaughter and I) had two fabulous dishes. I started with a small caesar salad which was wonderful, perfect-sized and crunchy croutons, perfectly seasoned dressing; then I had the dinner special, a pecan encrusted check breast topped with brie and pomegranate. My foodie in the making Goddaughter had the Filet Mignon which came at her desired temperature Medium Rare, and was like slicing softened butter. We ordered desserts to go, Pecan pie, and their signature grilled limoncello pound cake with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. These desserts were amazing. To make the experience even better, they had a "mentalist" performing at the tables free of charge. We gave him a tip because he was so good. He even read our palms. It made the whole dining experience simply mind-blowing.
We made reservations for 5:30 and when we arrived, we were promptly seated by a very cozy fireplace. Service was excellent and the special mussel appetizer was exceptionally delicious. The broth with the tender mussels was very tasty and very unique. Also, I enjoyed the lobster ravioli with shrimp for the main course. I will definitely go back for future dinners.
We took our grandson and his girlfriend here for dinner to celebrate his 25th Birthday. The guys had the fish special and really enjoyed it and said it was very tasty. I had the Spinach Salad with Strawberries and grilled Chicken with the dressing on the side. This was very filling and delicious. Jakes girlfriend a a wrap and she and I took half of our food home with us for lunch today.I would highly recommend eating here. Our server was Sarah and she was the best server constantly checking on us if we needed anything. They even brought a slice of cake and sang to Jake.
The experience started as soon as we walked through the door. The hostess was very warm and friendly. I thought the food was spectacular. I asked for an alteration to my meal and they had no problem fulfilling my request. Lori, our server, was great! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Whether you want a small meal to a full blown entree, they can fulfill your needs!
New Spring menu was a nice change although we always enjoy he food. The eggplant stack was delicious. I took some home and enjoyed it again the next day. Joe had a hamburger, one of the best around. i love the Canyon Road wines, especially Pinot Grigio. we also love to go for breakfast after church on Sundays. Eggs or Florentine benedict are my favorite. We enjoy the special attention on Sundays.
First time here- the ambiance was great with so much history within the restaurant. It was neat reading the history on the walls in the hall.
Our server was very nice. He was very much attentive to our needs. The kids enjoyed the chicken fingers and fires. Steak with Demi-glaze was good, but the Demi-glaze had very little flavor. Lobster ravioli had very little lobster.
A little disappointed, but didn't wreck my birthday.
The best local secret. I'm always pleased with the menu selection, service, quality and the decor is beautiful. Tasteful and elegant yet the place isn't at all stuffy.
The food is great! Something for everyone. Great for everyday dinner out or special occasions. I highly recommend the Woodside Lodge!
We are always pleased with the food and service at Woodside. We love Sunday Brunch, especially the florentine benedict. This is one of our favorite restaurants and lucky for us it is close to home. Woodside is also a really nice place to spend the night. Rooms are clean and cozy with a fireplace. We love it!!
Had a great anniversary meal with my husband! Seated in a cozy room with fireplace after walking in from porch that had propane heaters set up for outdoor dining. The chairs were a little uncomfortable, just your basic wooden chair, no cushion. The waitress was delightful and friendly and served us after about a 20 minute wait with drinks. The remaining courses were served in a timely manner. The seafood chowder was delicious, I think I had one potato, the rest was seafood in a creamy bisque. The Caesar salad (a la carte) was huge and delicious, lots of dressing (which I love) and lots of croutons! I had the jumbo shrimp stuffed with crabmeat (lots of crabmeat), my husband had the filet mignon(tender), both delicious and perfectly cooked.
Went there with the family for lunch Sunday. Made reservations, although it wasn't crowded. We were seated on the porch (as requested) and the wait staff was attentive. We placed our drink orders and were served water immediately. Drink orders arrived within 5 minutes and the waitress took our lunch orders. It was a beautiful day so there were quite a few loud cars and motorcycles passing the restaurant which made conversation a bit difficult at times. Although all the staff were pleasant and kept refilling our drinks our meals didn't arrive for an hour from when placed our order. Some of the people at our table got salads 10 minutes earlier but the only thing the waitress said when we inquired was our meals would be coming shortly.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Woodside Lodge. We had been there years ago before it was renovated. What a GREAT place! The ambiance is nice, service was the way you want it to be when dining out and the food was delicious! My husband and I couldn't stop talking about it. We had such a great experience. We will definitely be back and will be telling our friends all about our new place. Outdoor seating was packed too...it was a beautiful night! First time using Open Table as well. So easy. Love it!
This place is great! The service is stellar, the owners are so nice, and friendly, it makes you feel special to speak with them. We were celebrating our anniversary. They were kind enough to reseat us to an area away from the noisy larger crowds when we asked. The small plates are great, and just enough for a light dinner. We enjoyed everything thoroughly. We started with Grilled Bruschetta, and shared Baked Brie. Both items were just phenomenal. I loved the desserts too which we took 2 of home.
We met another couple for dinner and had a great time dining out on the open porch. The atmosphere was great although the road next to us was a little noisy but it didn't ruin the night (maybe putting up a few hedge/bushes) would soften the sound. Great place, will be back!
This was my first visit to the lodge. The menu was quite diverse and offered something to accommodate anyone's tastes. The food was very good but a bit overpriced for the atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed by the atmosphere in the room where we dined..it was dark and more pub-like. We had a great server; she was busy, but still very attentive and friendly. I would go back but the atmosphere is the only thing that doesn't add to the overall experience.
The setting is lovely and the restaurant itself is nice. Great front porch. The seating inside was OK. Two of us sunk deep on the bench and ended up sitting on our legs. The food was adequate. The service was slow even though the place was only about half full. The waiter was rather inattentive, too. We had to flag him down to get refills on drinks, even though he swung through the area a couple of times. We learned that waiting our turn didn't work; he'd just leave. The busboy, on the other hand, was efficient, polite and friendly. We had really hoped this could become a regular place for us because of the location but the mediocre food and disappointing service means we won't be back.
I started with the French onion soup, and we thrilled with the flavor and cheese! We had the crispy risotto balls which were fabulous! We enjoyed the cider brined roast pork tenderloin and the braised brisket with bourbon and cranberry glaze. Everything was just wonderful, and we also got to tour the rooms of the lodge which was beautifully appointed and looks very comfortable and inviting. The inn is a quaint and very well decorated venue for events, which we hope to use in the not-so-distant future. It is amazing that this little oasis is just 10 minutes from our home. We love it here!
Got seated promptly at a large comfortable table. Dining room was crowded but the room absorbed the noise well so my wife and I were able to have a fairly quiet ,pleasant evening. Our waitress was very nice, attentive and knowledgeable. The pumpkin soup special was delicious. Both our mains were very good. My wife wanted to give a big thumbs up to the lobster ravioli. An important thing to me was the meal was paced perfectly. Each course was brought out right when it should have been. Even though business was brisk we were never rushed. A very nice menu and we are both looking forward to trying some of their other offerings. Our first visit but definitely not our last.
