I discovered the Woodsman during an internet search of the area. My husband and I were spending a vacation in the area and we were so lucky to find this gem of a restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere it felt like we had discovered a real local favorite. We had steak for dinner generously portioned and a luscious chocolate chip cookie baked in a skillet with vanilla ice-cream.

Dinner special, Steelhead Trout, was sublime. Background music a bit loud for a quiet Tuesday evening but was immediately lowered when we commented on it -- I consider that a plus.

My second visit to Woodman Lodge. First was great, this one was not. Service was very good, but food was below average, especially for the price. I’ll chalk it up to an off night in the kitchen.

Really good steakhouse. Prime rib was great. Good cocktails with a surprisingly good wine list (albeit expensive). We had a table of 12. The service was just average but we ate early in the evening (5:00) probably before they were fully staffed.

Great and varied menu, nice atmosphere. Service has ranged from five to eight out of ten. Food typically very good. Sometimes it seems you just get ignored for too long waiting for a check or dessert menu. Also, maybe just me, but the little round-handled forks and spoons drive me nuts. Hard to handle. There’s a reason it’s called flatware! But we’ll be back.

My wife and I were going to the casino and wanted to have dinner. I got the baby back ribs and my wife got prime rib. My ribs were only so-so with a mediocre very sweet BBQ sauce not to my preference. My wife's prime rib was reported to be very good. Both of us enjoyed our roasted vegetables. Service was very good. Ambience is old school wood cabin with stuffed critters on the wall and or skins.

Great food! The steaks are truly amazing if cooked as you request. The scallops are cooked perfectly and the cioppino is flavorful and spicy! The chili is a hearty substitute if you would like a less expensive dinner. The cocktails are creative and potent as well. For dessert, try the molten chocolate cake or the 6" hot fudge sundae- definitely enough for 3! The most recent night we dined there one server was manning the entire restaurant. Not sure who called in sick but service was incredibly slow- frustrating -but the food made up for it! Great find in the heart of Snoqualmie!

This was a surprise. Once you get past the stuffed animals on the walls...lodge style not kid toys...you can appreciate this place. Lovely tin roof (which blocks cell reception) and old fashioned bar. The food is good and basic. Definitely a fun place to meet friends after work.

My wife's steak was cut in half and over cooked! Waiter was rude when we returned it. My steak was dry and tasteless. Really surprised because they used to be much better than that. They've really gone downhill.

The Scallops, Cheese Bread and Basic Salad were good.
The Bone in Ribeye steak was full of gristle and fat. Not the marbled fat but ugly fat.
We are locals from Snohomish. Will not be going back. Thank you

Was recommended to visit Woodman Lodge by the Salish Lodge hotel. Booked through Open Table.
Starter had Coconut Tiger Prawns - deep fried for way too long - dry and tasteless.
Mains we had burgers which were ok but nothing special. Lacking an imaginative sauce/dressing, only served with ketchup. The fries were nice though.
Perhaps we should have had the steak but at $50-60 each we didn't trust it would be good enough.
Generally we thought this restaurant was way over priced for what is a very average American grill.
Afterwards OpenTable received a report that we hadn't turned up. Disappointing!

THe Woodman is known for it's fine food and there is obviously a reason for that. Not only is it excellent in taste, it is excellent in variety.. Moose-ka-bobs anyone? I really like a good Mojito and theiers are the BEST. Their steak is really good and it is what I order most often. The serice was a bit slow Thursdaybut they weerereally corowed for a Thursday . The drinks were slow in coming, again I guess to a lot of patrons that evening.

Great food. Steaks were a bit small this time. Awesome atmosphere... They added a self playing piano... Fun! Service was not great this time. We had to ask for service after we were seated. Waiter hadn't memorized his liquor options, which is a problem if you don't have it anywhere on your menu. Appetizers were awesome by the way. Overall good experience but have had better dinners there... Bit too bad as these is/was or favorite restaurant.

Everything is amazingly great from the menu, service, food preparation, wine menu. Something for everyone, not just the meat eaters. The guys appreciated the large portion size.
This place is really great and I have never left disappointed in the least. Worth every penny.

They always do an outstanding job on steaks/meat. But one in the party had Rosemary Fries-greasy, served cool and disappointing. One had Romaine Wedge Salad-2 of us tasted it-all agreed it was just too salty to finish it. Dessert was fresh Peach Cobbler-with vanilla ice cream. Hot and delicious but some peaches were green and we found large slices that were hard to cut bite size. Most meat portions are very large - need to split or take home goodies. Will be back. :) Quaint old building. Friendly staff-great martini. Had a 4.5 experience before-but not this time.

Arrived on time to an unprepared restaurant. Waited at bar for table and drinks that took forever to arrive although bartender was extremely apologetic and understaffed. Drinks were good. Sat at table finally to a friendly server who was not a professional which I would expect for an establishment serving a $60 steak. Overall disappointing experience.

We visited for Father's day, a set menu $45 which did set our expectations. We both had Crab Benedict, the eggs were hard which are a fundamental part in this dish, they appeared almost 70 minutes after we arrived, we did have a small first course first. The waitress did offer to have them redone but at that stage, we were hungry, she was very pleasant and reduced the overall bill but still. We have been here for dinner several times, always great but not recently. The décor is really well done, old time saloon with lots of trophy heads on the walls, self playing piano etc

We went for Father's Day brunch where the menu options for anything that would be considered breakfast was extremely limited. The options were horrible and the food was not that great. The worst was the desserts, definitely not what you would expect for $45. It is a shame because we had heard such wonderful things about their brunch from when it was a regular thing. I would say they have definitely gone down hill. The service and atmosphere were pleasant.
