We have been to this restaurant multiple times. This particular evening we brought our very close family friends who live close by but had never been to / heard of / or tried the Woodman Lodge. The service we received this time from Corey was exemplary. She was kind, courteous, engaging and above all very professional.
She was well versed in the menu and had wonderful suggestions for us to try.
We had a delicious meal and dessert, great cocktails and a truly wonderful experience.
We will definitely be returning to this establishment again and again.
Way too expensive for the quality of food. We enjoyed our meal but felt the quality was not up to par with the prices.
We I’ve had dinner at the Woodman’s for years now and unfortunately I have to say the quality is rapidly going down. Today’s food was overpriced and the quality of the steaks was mediocre. Service was not great. Cold.
Excellent ambiance, service, food, and facility as well as a great host engagement with Pete LaHaye!
Overcooked steak, burnt dessert, inattentive service. Great ambience and delicious wine, Such a shame as we were excited about a date night there.
Our favorite restaurant!! Was our 32nd wedding anniversary. Did not let us down. Two thumbs up.
Woodman Lodge is a gem in Snoqualmie! The ambiance, décor, and quality of the food will definitely have me coming back.
Great dinner with friends on a snowy night. Good drinks. Good menu, not to busy.
Food tasted good, but service was so slow that it was cold (lukewarm, actually) when delivered. If it would have been hot, I think it would have been good.
We've been to the Woodman twice now and have had a good experience both times. Outside of the Salish Lodge, it's really the only other 'fine dining' option in the Snoqualmie/North Bend area. I like the atmosphere, and the steaks are very good. My only criticism is the value. I was a GM at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for years and was used to serving the very best steak and charging accordingly. But that was in a large metro area and for Snoqualmie, I would suggest trying to find a slightly less price point and you would see more repeat business.
We went to Woodsman's to celebrate Valentine's day. They had special decorations for the event. Great service and food! Had the Cowboy steak it was wonderful. Great place to enjoy the evening.
Made a Valentine's dinner reservation and had no indication that the menu would be limited and how very limited it would be. Venison tartar? Sorry, not my thing. We left and went to North Bend Bar & Grill. They had a Valentine's Day menu, a Specials menu and the regular menu. Seem the Woodsman is run by amateurs like a hobby, not a business. Second negative experience in a row.
Went there for Valentine’s Day. Food was terrible and overpriced. They should have stuck to their regular menu. Very poor, we won’t be back.
It was outstanding we were surprised by the limited menu for valentines, but our waiter Mark was one of the best I have ever had!
The food was delicious but we were handcuffed to the three options to eat. We went for Valentine’s Day and was disappointed with the limited menu for the day. It was understandable because of the occasion, but we were expecting the regular menu, and only became aware of the special menu when we were sat. We could’ve left, but chose to stay since we made the reservation. My steak came on a bed of chili which I did not like, wished the chili came in a side bowl. It was all delicious as I said, but not what I was wanting or expecting. I love the venue and the service was awesome! I will be back for sure in hopes to eat their regular menu!
The food and service were excellent. We went for Valentine's Day, and had the rib eye and the surf and turf from their special Valentine's Day menu. Both were excellently prepared and flavored. Would definitely go back (we've been going back several times).
Great food as usual
The Woodman never disappoints. Always great food and great service! I highly recommend this place for a small group or a nice dinner for two.
Nice experience; perfect for vacation. The roasted Caesar salad was delicious and large so we split the burger which was also quite good. Ease dropping on locals and a Dirtfish pitch was just plain fun.
Crowded accommodations, but very friendly wait staff. My burger was At least cooked per my request. My wife’s steak was a very large portion, and she said it tasted good. But if you order it cooked to medium well, it will likely actually come out medium at best. So order accordingly. Very historic setting. So they deliver on that easily. Parking nearby can be a challenge when they are busy. But you can walk there from the parking lot near the river park.
I live in the valley and come here often for all you can eat ribs on Tuesday nights
Amazing setting with an amazing server food was pretty good
We ended up eating at the bar as that is what my husband wanted to do. Great bartender and very accommodating staff.
Delightful experience! Loved the setting and the service was top notch. Meal was very good thanks to the recommendations from our server. We can’t wait to go back!
After my last visit with the rude waiter and average food, I was hesitant to come back. But because they've been great before, I presumed that visit was an anomaly. I was right.
On this visit, the food for all 3 of us was spot on perfect! Service, although a bit slow, as friendly and attentive.
They've changed their menu and website recently. And it appears they've made changes to their waitstaff and kitchen as well. They've definitely improved their Bearnaise sauce too.
I was nervous to give them another try, but I'm glad I did!
Great, as always
The muscles were so fishy & I ordered scallops, they were expired or something. Not cooked right, I love scallops but these made my stomach turn. I would never order seafood here again. Disappointing.
One of my favorite places to eat when visiting the NW. Great menu with a good choice of foods, the ribs are great and Tuesday night is all you can eat. I had the elk and they were very good.
good environment, great food and service a local gem.
I've been to the Woodman several times, but this time the food wasn't quite as good as it has been in the past. The prime rib was overcooked and rather tough. Everything else was good, though. Some sound deadening materials would really help. The old pressed tin ceiling tiles are neat, but they reflect a lot of sound, plus you tend to get a lot of dish clatter from the serving/kitchen area. Probably would be better for a small group so you wouldn't get the table closest to the kitchen.
In large groups, it is so noisy it is difficult to carry on a conversation.
Good steaks, though...
Great, authentic steakhouse with an old west feel. It’s dimly lit, and the clientele is a little less dressed for the occasion than you’d expect for the price and service you get. I enjoyed the player piano and our wait staff was top-notch, my only negative was the other patrons and not on the restaurant. I can’t wait to try it again.
Food is spectacular as always. Started with the roasted artichoke (amazing) we both had the petite filet for entree and finished with the lava cake and ice cream... delicious!! Always a great experience. We were seated upstairs this time... not as cozy as downstairs. It’s more like an open bar room. Going forward I will always ask to be seated downstairs.
The charcuterie platter was made of low quality pepperoni and salami and only two types of of cheeses; neither of which was memorable. The prime rib was made to order; however, the fries with it were cold. The mussels where just OK. We'll not be returning to this establishment.
Great dinner at the Woodman. Celebrating moms birthday and the food and atmosphere were great. We will be back.
Understaffed, out of items with no advanced warning, entrees arrives 3 minutes after salads, steak was cold. For the amount of $$ for dinner one should expect the same level of service. Huge fail. We got up from dinner and left.
New Years Eve Dinner. The wait staff made us feel very rushed, it was obvious that they wanted to flip the tables as soon as possible. But, coming to the table every couple of minutes to ask if they could clear plates we were still eating from was very annoying. The four of us had different cuts of steak, I chose the Ribeye. The exterior crust on the Ribeye was awesome, the interior was however cold and tough. Not what I expected from a Steak House.
Mostly beef menu. Limited bar menu. Food good but Prime Rib was okay. Apple crumb was AMAZING! Extensive wine menu. Waiter brought wrong wine and opened bottle. Was not good.
Our family has dined at the Woodman Lodge on many occasions and we have always had a great experience. The quality of the food is always exceptional - a consistent dining experience. The wait staff is courteous, friendly, and professional. Dining in a historic building with such a great past adds to this unique dining experience. I would highly recommend the Woodman Lodge and the beautiful drive getting there.
Nice ambiance, great waiter. Filet mignon was chewy for that type of cut, top sirloin was also chewy, a little disappointing. One salad was overdone in dressing. Chocolate Sundae was the only highlight of the meal, very good.
Loved this restaurant, it's an historic building and the steaks were delicious.
Probably the best best dining option in tiny Snoqualmie (other than the Salish Lodge).
