We offer both a meat and vegetarian version of our menu, with lots of cooking done over open fire.

Thursday - Saturday 5:00 - 11:00pm (last call for food)
It's a quaint little place. However for the portion of food you get, the prices are way too high.
One of the best vegetarian meals I’ve had in Toronto! Love that there is a separate menu for meat options.
Lovely atmosphere, given the option to sit on the patio or in the dining room. Patio was very nice and not too noisy even with street traffic.
Service initially seemed a bit rushed, but was fine once we’d ordered.
Good drinks menu.
We dined upstairs and it was uncomfortably warm- enjoyed the food
We were blown away. My friend and I have been trying to make it to Woodlot for quite some time. It has been recommended repeatedly. It did not dissappoint. The wait staff and management were available and helpful. The wine pairing suggestions were excellent. The food was delicious. Perfect night to catch up over great food and fabulous service. Thank you to everyone. We will be back.
Woodlot is a gem. Excellent wood fired concept and very creative vegetarian dishes, a real rarity. The wine list is outstanding.
Wonderful meal and cozy space!
We’ve been many times and it’s delicious. My husband is vegetarian and I am not so it’s great there is a full menu available for him to chose from.
Vegetarian food is great as always - nice cozy place!
The food was impeccable, the service was lovely, and everything was done quickly and professionally. I was mildly disappointed that we weren't comped at least a celebratory drink because of the occasion we were there for, but that's likely more that I'm a victim of my own expectation a reflection of the restaurant.
A terrific meal as always!
Carnivores and Herbivores side by side in perfect harmony.
Booked this place after reading great reviews. It was just OK. As a couple out, it wasn't the right choice for us but would maybe suit a crowd of friends. The prices did not reflect the food and facilities as the food was nice, not outstanding and the AC, noise and space were all poor.
We went out of our way to go here which I wouldn't recommend but if you're nearby and in a group it's not bad.
Edward was amazing. He navigated us through the wine list and made a few recommendations that were pleasantly surprising. The rest of the staff seemed a bit uninterested in serving us. We’d heard many great things about Woodlot before going, but maybe our expectations were a little high.
Phenomenal experience, friendly service, homey atmosphere, creative use of ingredients & outstanding flavours.
Excellent food. Wonderful pastas, zucchini blossoms and the pork main was fabulous. Service was equally up to the quality of the food. A value experience.
We went to Woodlot because my friend is a vegetarian, I am not. The reviews seemed excellent. I ordered a gin & tonic but had to send it back--it was made with a sweet syrupy version of tonic that it seems they make themselves. The 'real' tonic is just quinine and water, and is bitter, not sweet, not a syrup. There was no choice of gins and you couldn't taste the gin anyway. This was a teenage version of an adult drink. We started with pasta starters, and mine was very good. For the main course, the vegetable part of the meal was pretty good, but my pickerel seemed to be a frozen filet, and rather than a light flakey finish, as it should have had, it was a solid cardboardy lump. No possibility of deboning myself, as this fish looked like it had never had bones of any sort! Pickerel is a local fish, so there is no excuse for that. The vegetarian option was identical, but the fish was replaced by a yellow pepper... seemed like a bit of a cop-out to me. For the price, a nice piece of fresh fish would have made the meal.
Unfortunately we were thoroughly disappointed with this place. We read great reviews on the food but it was so awful. The spices were all wrong. The dishes were served cold. The steak dish was overpriced and poor quality cut. The papardelle pasta was too salty and too much fennel. They talk about their food being fresh but it didn’t taste fresh at all. We honestly really didn’t like any of the food but the server was nice. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless the restaurant ups their game and food quality. To the restaurant... sometimes simple is better! Good luck!
Absolutely flawless from beginning to end. From being welcomed at the door to the conclusion of the meal, the service was professional, attentive and personable. The food executed brilliantly, with the greatest attention to detail and appeal. Fabulous wine list and knowledge table service. We enjoyed the evening immensely. Outstanding! Thank you again, Woodlot for another great evening of food and impeccable service.
For a true Canadian food experience, in a terrific setting, and with very good service, Woodlot is a must-visit restaurant in Toronto. I live in New York and have been to Italy, and Woodlot is as good a dinner as I've ever had. If you want to stop at a different place for a drink before or afterwards, Bar Reval is a great old world bar/cafe next door.
Due to traffic, we were an hour late for our reservation. I called twice and the staff just said, we'll make it work. We weren't rushed at all. The service was amazing and so was the food. You'll want to eat slow and enjoy every bite.
Great staff, delicious and purposefully slow-paced food (time to chat between courses). We will be back, but the dishes are clearly labour intensive and the prices reflect that. The Hen-o'-the-woods app was a really creative use of fresh ingredients but the roasted pork chop was little more than very well-cooked pork with a sweet butter sauce. I couldn't pick out the pear, fennel, chestnut or red-eye sauce advertised on the menu.
Fantastic food. Service on point. Highly recommend
So lovely! Consistently my favourite restaurant! Another great meal with another great wine.
Good food. Slow slow poor service.
The food and service were both exceptional! The fresh bread was delicious!
A restaurant to keep coming back to!
In a sea of restaurants claiming '100' mile sourcing, this is the real deal. One of the most courageous, interesting, and unique wine lists I have seen; paired perfectly with the ever changing seasonal foods, it was impressive. Service was knowledgable and familiar. A perfect dining experience.
Food was stunning, an amazing place if you are looking for something special.
Can't say enough goods things about this place. Food is excellent and inventive. Staff and kitchen very accommodating.
The food is fantastic and the menu thoughtfully put together
It was a wonderful experience, the food is amazing and I’m teally picky so I was really surprised !! Good and fresh ingredients. The wine list is pretty various. The place is wonderful for a date, family dinner or even a business meal !
I recommend this place :)
Everything was perfect. From waitress to food, all couldn't have been better.
I went to Woodlot with my partner on a weekend trip to Toronto -- It was phenomenal! We sat on the upper level (must use stairs!) and were seated overlooking the rest of the restaurant, which was very nice. The service was perfect. We enjoyed the complimentary sourdough. For our meals, we ordered the squash and warm apple salad -- the sunflower seed brittle and dressing were delicious and unlike anything I've had before.
For entrees my S.O. ordered the mutton ragu orecchiette and I ordered the sweet potato-stuffed cocoa capalletti. We both cleaned our plates - This is not a dish I would typically order as I am usually a big meat eater, but I was very satisfied. The mushroom broth was delicious as well. I will also throw a big recommendation towards the broccoli side - Our waitress noted that it's "so good that it even turns broccoli haters." I myself usually AM a big broccoli hater, but she was right - it was delicious! Finally, will mention the extensive wine list and delicious cocktails!
Overall, it was a perfect night! Thanks Woodlot!
We ordered from the vegetarian menu. My friend loved her onion soup. The gougeres were delicious. We also tried the grilled mushrooms and the cappelletti. For dessert the petit four sampling platter was stunning!
Service was excellent. Very polite and friendly staff.
The ambience is very rustic. Has a casual vibe. The washroom has the tiniest sink I've ever seen.
Overall an interesting place.
Good hearty food, however, I felt there was not a lot of variety and all the mixed drinks (nearly all bourbon based), appetizers, and entrees had all of the same components in them. In their defense they were transitioning from winter to summer menu. Overall good experience. We sat in the loft and we noticed the duct work was in dire need of cleaning.
Unique and personal setting. Kind staff and tasty food. However, there were limited options and rather small portion sizes.
We had a delicious meal at Woodlot. Our servers were friendly and attentive (shout out to Ed) and they moved us outside to the beautiful patio. The menu has many creative and delicious veggie options. We will definitively be coming back to Woodlot this summer.
Outsanding service, familiarity with menu, prepared to make alterations for dietary restrictions. Ambiance and Fare Quality wonderful.
My wife and I have been going to Woodlot for almost 5 years. We recently celebrated our 3rd anniversary there and were greeted with exemplary service and outstanding food. Always a treat.
The service was very good. Overall, the food was pricey.
Arrived close to opening and was welcomed warmly. Highly recommend for their excellent food and service. Will be back to impress significant others!
First time there and was not disappointed. Menu seems limited until you combine different tastes and pair with great wine and beer selection. A must try in Toronto.
