I ordered the rib eye, Pittsburgh style-charred on the outside and rare/medium rare on the inside-and it was cooked perfectly! Husband ordered the rack of lamb and it was fabulous!!! Excellent meal and wonderful service from Andrea!!
Very disappointed in the service which was almost non-existent. Establishment was not busy with guests. Waitress was not friendly, not available, and very slow (waited half hour to get water and to order drinks). Food was well plated and good quality. A friend and I were at Eagle Ridge for the Hot Air Balloon Race/Festival and missed all the evening activities because of the 1.5+ hours spent at restaurant.
My husband and I were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary. The food was incredible and so was the service. We will be back! I have already recommended this wonderful place to our daughter as well. We had the Prime rib buffet and it was incredible. The vegetables were so fresh. Just wonderful!
The atmosphere is amazing. The Manager Mark is a cool dude. He is very friendly and engaging with the guest. The staff is on top of their service.
The food was fantastic and the view was beautiful. Jack, who I believe was the manager, was so pleasant and went around to every table to make sure the customers were taken care of. Definitely will be back The food was fantastic and the view was beautiful. We went to The Woodlands three times during our recent vacation, once for dinner and twice for breakfast, and each time we had absolutely no complaints. The food was cooked to perfection, the service was pleasant and efficient, and the ambience was very nice. It was also a very good value, as the breakfast buffet (excellent!) amounted to only $15 per person (including tax, but excluding tip, and based on the 15% discount we received for staying at the resort). This was very reasonable, considering that was also the cost for a standard breakfast with just coffee at a nearby Perkins.
Going back to the dinner, that came to about $150 for both of us (same conditions as above), for EXCELLENT steak for both of us (Rib Eye for him, NY Strip for me) with all the sides and wine. Btw, the wine selection was excellent, and it was priced fairly -- we had a bottle of the Charles Krug Cab for $57, which our local liquor store sells for $32. (In contrast, here in Denver, the same meal would cost us over $300 at some of the downtown restaurants.)
Went for my wife's birthday and had a great time. Service was very friendly and the food was great!
We had a very nice time. The food was delicious and atmosphere elegant.
We went to the Woodlands Restaurant for Mother's Day dinner. It was a quiet evening, as a brunch had been served earlier that day. We were warmly welcomed by the manager, who continued to check on us throughout the meal. Chris, our server, was excellent and took good care of us. The food was outstanding in every respect. The soups were delicious, the salad a revelation, with a fantastic fresh basil dressing. Our filets were cooked precisely, the mashed potatoes piped onto the plate, and the vegetables cooked to perfection. The pace of our meal was perfect. The GPS had taken us there via a hilly, winding road...we later found we could have accessed it from Highway 20, but it was worth the drive. We hope to dine there again sometime when we want a wonderful meal, served in a lovely setting.
Mother’s Day brunch was outstanding.
Great food. Great table. Friendly servers. Fabulous brunch buffet. Hope to make it a Mother’s Day tradition!
One of the best brunches I've ever had! We went for Mother's Day!
We stayed at Eagle Ridge and visited Woodlands for breakfast the next morning. We did the breakfast buffet and it was a decent value. There isn't too much else in town for sit down breakfast so we opted for the convenience of the hotel. They have your standard hot breakfast foods.. make your own omelets, potatoes, french toast, toast, fruit, pastries etc. It was not spectacular but it did the job.
Loved the resort itself very nice, all the staff was amazing.
Food was a let down my steak was tough and vegetables were bland. My husband had prime rib ate one small piece and did not want more because it lacked flavor (he usually has a king cut and cleans his plate).
Server had to many tabled so we waited a long time. She was very pleasant and polite just had to many tables.
We will come back we loved the villa and the property just may not be dining at resort.
Nice place very elegant seems like it's more for adults the buffet was good they could have had french toast they only had pancakes the service was okay but not from our waitress she was okay but not very attentive
The hallibut On the menu was excellent
Very good wine menu too
Great buffet. Lots of choices and not too pricey... drinks are included which is great. Would come back next time I’m in the area. They don’t rush you either although the restaurant was not full might be different in summer.
It was great! The team was outstanding
Not worth the price. Service was horrible. Food was mediocre. Bill was large. Go anywhere else!
The service was terrible and the food was way over priced.
If you are staying in the territory and want a convenient, comfortable dinner this is a good choice. I suggest you listen to the waitperson as to recommended eats. Ours suggested the lamb chops, WOW. Excellent. One of our group went off on his own with the rib eye. She did not recommend it.... There was a reason. He was the only one of our group disappointed. Salads were all nice, the apps were tasty. Corkage is only $10, so we brought several bottles from home. All in All, not 5 star, but a very convenient, nice , comfortable option.
We went for our wedding anniversary. We were delighted with the food. I had grouper and my husband had a shrimp dish. Both were really good! Service was great!
We both had prime rib. My wife asked for it medium and the piece that came back from the grill was VERY undersized. Service was slow. Finally had to ask Chris to get our check (not our server).
The Saturday night buffet was outstanding; Perfect prime rib. The wine list had several excellent choices and the staff was very attentive. It was a very enjoyable evening.
This was not the first time we dined here but it will be the last. We are always hopeful that they would change chefs or menus or something because we live nearby but we are always disappointed. To be fair, the dining room is usually very lovely. However they were doing ceiling repairs and most of the room was blocked off so we were seated in the back on folding tables and chairs. Because we were unhappy with many of their entrees in the past, we decided to order steaks. What could be safer? The steaks were cooked to order and very good. But the vegetables were cold, the sauces were cold and solidified, and the salads were wilted. Too pricey for terrible food.
Never again. Any other restaurant in Galena is better than this.
Had the prime rib buffet NYE and brunch the next morning. The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
We have dined here several times before and always had very good experiences, this was not the case this evening. One of us ordered the salmon. It was described as being served with a number of vegetables including corn, asparagus, tomatoes and a specialty potato. The salmon we were served was on a bed of greasy corn. There was one very small piece of asparagus ( about an inch in length )and two very small pieces of tomato skin. No potatoes were on the plate. We asked about the potatoes and they were brought after we were all done eating what we’d been served. The salmon had a very fishy taste, consistent with fish that’s not fresh. We ordered the house specialty desert, Sinsinawa bread with ice cream. The portion we were served was over cooked and grease soaked with no ice cream. We asked for the ice cream. It took an unusually long time for the server to bring it. By then the dish, that is served warm, was cold. The server did not charge us for the ice cream. She did not mention or make any exception for the salmon dish that was missing over half of the items as described on the menu. It was a busy evening, and we just moved on. The experience was very disappointing. We emailed the food and beverage director about this unusually poor experience. We’ll see if he responds.
We've been there several times and each time is almost better than before. We went for Brunch and you can't beat the selection. Service is Always Fantastic!! Wonderful Staff!!
Always a Facorite with everyone!!
We have been here several times and have always enjoyed ourselves. The food is great and it's nice to see the same staff when we come back. It's easy to find what you are looking for from sit down dining to brunch to casual bar and even a pizza and coffee shop.
Family weekend. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner our last night in Galena. Everyone had a great time
The managers rude and loud. At least I think he was the manager, he acted like it. Pile of dirty plates on a table next to us. My food was horrible! Bacon wrapped scallops were the bacon isn't cooked.
Very nice, ask for a table by the windows if you are there early enough to see out. Very nice view over the lake.
The Wood land brunch at Eagle Ridge is always a great option. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic!
We had a group of 12 people, but only received service from on waiter who had a very hard time keeping up with our party. He even spilled a glass of red wine on 3 or 4 of our guests and only comped a handful of desserts that our party ordered. Very poor planning by the restaurant as we made our reservations several weeks in advance and it wasn't very busy at all.
Went to Woodlands for Sunday brunch---best brunch in the midwest---excellent food, service, surroundings, hotel, and grounds.
I had a wonderful time and my server Jay was fantastic!!!! The ribeye I ordered was cooked to perfection. It was a very relaxing and great evening. The entire staff was top notch!!!!! Fantastic job and meal. Well worth the price. Thank you!!!!!!😄😄👍👍
Another absolutely wonderful visit. The staff is always so nice. Kayla and Susan take great care of the front. Chris, Kelly and Nan always take great care of the guests.
This restaurant is still a nice place but has declined in recent years. The brunch used to something we would brag about. Now, it is average. Service is non-existent.
