I reserved online, having NO IDEA that the restaurant had stopped serving food, that they only offered appetizers and desserts in a very limited number. I had planned to have a birthday dinner there. When i attended i found that .... The foods that were available on the website were not available at the restaurant. I probably will not go back there because i am not a beer drinker. I loved their food!

We dine here for lunch when visiting the area. The pickled veggies are great and while the menu is limited, there is something for everyone. Great beers and nice staff.

This was our second visit - the first had been outstanding. This one was very mixed - my patty melt was great, but one in the group had to return his pork chop because it was way under cooked. Then it was still only average. Too bad. Our first experience had been so great!

We liked it! Felt welcomed and were seated at a table with a view of the kitchen. Food is really quite good, maybe a bit more expensive than what you might expect at a brew pub, but quality, seasonal and interesting. Beers on tap were really good, reasonably priced and you can request a taste of a candidate or two, before you order your pint. Only criticism is that the lighting is a bit too bright and harsh. The pub is modern in a warehouse in the Barlow: high ceilings, metal furniture. It needs to be "warmed up" a bit with better lighting, possibly a fireplace, some comfortable lounge type seating.

We had a great time at Woodfour. We checked in for our reservation at the front and were quickly seated. Unfortunately, we did not get greeted by a server for about 20 min. Woodfour generously comped our first round. Service we had there after was excellent and very attentive. We had two toddlers with us and even they were paid attention to in the cutest way. Thank you Woodfour we will be back! The food and beer is awesome!

Locavore delights, simple and fresh, well executed with attention to detail and a little mischief too. The menu is all about supporting the main course: masterfully brewed local beers. Our little group had fun sharing the preset tasting flight and didn't fight over last sips as each found their own favorite. Non-drinkers and vegetarians found plentiful menu options. Attentive, engaged service, Sonoma farmhouse-chic, noise level conducive to good conversation and best of all - super flattering lighting. On a date try to snag one of the outdoor couches.

I love everything about this place and I've been at least 6 times. The food is leagues above anything you'd expect from a brewpub -- while the menu is not particularly large, it's always full of fresh, imaginative and delicious choices. The bean cassoulet (available in both a meat or vegetarian option) is a knockout. On the drinks front, I must admit that I'm not the biggest fan of the stuff they brew on premise, but they always have a couple of "guest" beers on tap as well as a large by the bottle selection that will satisfy a wide range of beer and cider tastes. The service is always friendly, prompt and welcoming. The choice of indoor or patio seating means you can be comfortable on the warmest or coolest of days. This is my go to place at the Barlow and one of my favorites in West County.

I had the cassolet, my husband had their burgeresque burger. I liked mine better than he liked his birthday burger. They combined sausage with ground meat for the burger. All for experimentation, but this one didn't fly. Excellent server!

Great spot to find something OTHER than the highly-hopped IPAs that are all the rage at most micro breweries. Love the flavors, and the daring palate behind them. Don't miss the cassoulet (non-traditional, but great)! There's even a dark beer that's different, but tasty. The "Guieness Girl" I'm married to gives it a big "thumbs up".

We ate here for lunch on our way to Santa Rosa. It was a fun stop. We were here right after Valentine's Day and the Presidents Birthday holiday so it was quiet. We're not big beer drinkers so I enjoyed a nice glass of wine; unfortunately my husband really wanted their lemonade drink but they had run out due to the big weekend crowds. Food was creative and very good. We sat outside and people-watched. If you're a beer lover you'll have lots of menu choices and they make it right there --- they obviously have local fans. All in all it was a nice stop, different and enjoyable.

We had been out wine tasting on this day and wanted another option for our choice of beverage as we had dinner. We were not expecting too much for a brewery, but we were happy to underestimate this place. The food was great. We only ordered small plates and had a couple of beers. We had the brussels sprouts, market pickled seasonal vegetables and lamb meat balls. The brussels sprouts were to die for! The parmesan and lemon curd worked so well with the sprouts. After one round of beer and the three dishes we really could have stopped. But the food and beer was so good we decided for another beer, cheese and charcuterie board for dessert. They were served with a mild mustard and honey, with the honey comb. Excellent! We really enjoyed this place and if in the area again would return.

We had a large group (20). The manager, Jonathan Ong, could not have been more helpful, professional, or accommodating. Our waitstaff was extraordinary -- every dish was explained carefully, beverage orders were delivered promptly, and the staff REALLY is knowledgable about every food and drink on the menu. I highly recommend this place!

We stopped here after many month s of waiting to have the time but, we were disappointed. Kids review when asked... pasta was a very small serving and too much butter. The fruit and cheese platter had 5 thin apple slices, 3 small berries, and 5 cheese squares. Could have been more for the price. And the chips.....about 10 in a bowl. Not even enough for the dip they were served with. Our kids are great eaters and they were disappointed and hungry when we left. Likes: Fingerling potatoes and the sauce on the meatballs. Okay: Brussel Spout salad (dry) and sausage platter. We had high hopes. Good luck in the Barlow!

This is a unique and special place. We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There are lots of fabulous and unusual beers and hard ciders. I had a delicious vegetarian bean casserole with truffle oil while my meat eating companions loved their sandwiches. There are lots of small plates - the crispy brussel sprouts was exquisite and I don't like brussel sprouts. However there are only a few choices for a larger entree (like the sandwiches). The service was fabulous and they brought a few small glasses of beer so we could taste before deciding. We sat outside and enjoyed the food, drinks, conversation (as the tables are far enough apart to facilitate talking) and sunshine. We would definitely return again.

For a brewery the beer menu was limited. I appreciate that many like sour beers. But not everyone does. There is no accommodation from the brewery to those our prefer old style beers - lagers, ales, IPAS. Ok there was some from out of town - beer from PA is hardly upholding the spirit of SoCo and all things 'local'. The food was, in a word, 'forgettable' and the menu uninspiring. A bratwurst with sauerkraut, mustard and smashed potato was very bland in all and every way. Service was detached. A forgettable and very very generic experience. We do not plan to return

Although the Barlow seems to be having some difficulty filling all of the spaces, there are a few good places to eat and drink. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the food we ordered and thought the combinations were both somewhat unusual but absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the style of beer, Belgian, must be an acquired taste as only one of the five beers we chose for our flights was something we wanted to finish. Some of them were very sour and advertised as such and other had an off taste that wasn't agreeable or something any of us got used to. We will stick with the bottled beers or wine the next time we return to Sebastopol and the Barlow.

Loved sitting in the corner , just left of the door. Had to ask if I go myself to the bar for someone to pour me a beer. Poor service for the first half hour. Beet salad came and looked so delish. Wow that first bite was much too salty! We thought it had to have been an unknown mistake made while making it. Then my chicken and biscuit arrived. Again much too salty. Halibut arrived and once again salt! Bratwurst dish came - not surprised how salty everything was. The bratwurst itself was the least salty item of the entire meal. We were all thirsty by the time we got home.

Woodfour has a huge selection of beers, so that must be why most people go there. The food menu is small, maybe 5 entrees for dinner plus a nice assortment of starters and salads. The food is excellent: very fresh, creative, well-prepared, attractively-presented. There just aren't many choices, so I'm not sure I'd go back. The wine list is also very limited and pricey ($11 for a glass of not-very-good zin). We appreciated that they supported the Sonoma Humane Society by donating a portion of the check.

After all the hype about the Barlow Center and Woodfour's eclectic food and beer selections, I and the others in my party were very disappointed. The bratwurst, piled on a couple of smashed potatoes was overdone, devoid of flavor and the sauce added little to the experience. One person in our party had the char which he declared as excellent. Being an experienced brewer and beer snob, I found that the selection of beers made in house, while crafted in a du jour way, to be rather pretentious and not that well thought out. In plain fact, most were excessively sour in a not very good way. The dry hopped Saison seemed to be the best of the lot while the rest of the sour selections seemed almost an accident rather than purposeful. I had a guest beer for a second choice. Much better. The service was excellent. All in all, it was an expensive and disappointing dining and drinking experience. I've had beers at made at this place on previous occasions when the selection offered were pretty good. Not this time! There are too many nice restaurants with great food in Sonoma County to consider returning to Woodfour. Sorry, folks, but I won't be back.
