Woodberry Kitchen did not disappoint. The food was amazing. It was highly recommended by my friends, and it lived up to my expectations.

Amazing service, (professional/knowledgeable servers), creative/appetizing presentation of drinks and food, delicious drinks and meals, special acknowledgment for our birthday girl.

Outstanding experience!!!

I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Still has a great vibe and some fun drink options. The food is not as amazing as I remember. Our service was good but our entree took a crazy amount of time to come out to the table. About 40 minutes. The manager did come and apologize. The entrees were so small... and just tasted okay. I wasn't wowed. I used to love everything from the bread to the drinks to the oat ice cream at dessert. Just saying .. we left and grabbed more food. Stick with the appetizers (crab pot) and drinks or brunch and I think you'll be happy.

A favorite restaurant of ours, the CMP alone is most definitely worth the drive from Washington, DC.

Woodberry Kitchen was beyond accommodating when traffic decided to delay our lunch. They had our table waiting and were ready for us.

The food was delicious! The restaurant itself is beautiful and open. Service was friendly and never over-bearing.

Thank you for making this a great lunch!

Terrible service. From start to finish, completely baffled by this restaurant.
Sure they have great food and it’s decorated nicely, but having to wait twenty minutes to be seated when we had a reservation AND there were more than five open tables?!?! I don’t understand. Like I told my husband, if the service was good (not superior or out of this world) good, we for sure would have made a point to come back. Oh well, no love lost.

We have been going since it opened. It used to be a gem; no one in town could match the food, the service and the ambience.

The quality of service has dropped off, the bill is outrageously high, especially when it was just an average meal. The days of charging $15 for an old fashion, have passed. It ain’t that good.

I had an overpriced, average steak that came with 2 pieces of a potato and a pinch of vegetables. My wife was unimpressed with her meal as well. Again, it just doesn’t match the cost.

Our waiter was swamped and paid no attention to us or our empty drink glasses and the fact we wanted to order food and were ignored.

The juice isn’t worth the squeeze anymore. We always leave wondering why we went, and it’s mostly because we hope it’s going to be like the old days where it was a completely unique experience, but it’s not. There’s a million great places to eat that have attentive staff and reasonable prices for amazing food.

I think we will pass on this place

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in past years. But my experience this time was disappointing. The server was a tad curt and snooty. The food good but over-salted. The wine list is very good, but the wines are priced between 3-4X the retail price of the wines. Standard restaurant practice it 2x retail price. And the wine was served at room temperature. Enlightened wine oriented restaurants often follow the European practice of charging $10-$15 over the retail price. And red wines should be served between 58-65 F.

The wait to get our reservation was pretty long, we had to wait a half hour past our reservation time. The food and service was great, the waiters knew the food and beer really well. Great atmosphere.

Waited at the bar for 15 mins after reservation until our table was ready. Bartender was cool. Place was busy on a Thursday. Got a shared appetizer. And then nothing. We were at our table for 1.5 hours with no entrees. We left with them boxed to go. Didn't eat dinner there.

This is the fourth time we've gotten to enjoy Woodberry Kitchen. Each time, the food has been consistently good, which is tough with a seasonal menu. This time, the service was excellent (thanks Livingston! Also, your name is pretty cool). And our seat was right up by the kitchen, which was amazing. Great food, fantastic ambience, great service. Thanks!

I have been here many times; food is always good and the place is always crowded and lots of noise. I have known the owner since he first began in the restaurant business, and he is always trying new things and opening another new eatery. He has won the James Beard Award for best chef in the area.

Disappointed that they could not make traditional drinks because they don't carry certain liquors (e.g. tequila) and don't have citrix liquids. We wanted to order an appetizer when we finally placed our drink order and the server said she would wait and take the appetizer order at the same time as our dinner order because it would take 30 to 40 minutes to prepare the dinners, and this was a Tuesday night when the restaurant had about 1/3 of the tables empty. Dessert menu did not include any chocolate options. Valet parking was a joke - you drive past the restaurant to a parking lot where they park your car within a hundred feet, you then walk to the restaurant and walk back to the parking lot after your meal to have a valet walk less than a hundred feet to your car to drive it to you. There is no reason this parking lot could not have been self parking. The food was good, but there were too many other disappointments so we will not be back.

As NYers we are spoiled with many fabulous restaurants but any time we are in Baltimore we try to have a meal at WK! It is among the best of the best anywhere!

We came from DC for a special birthday celebration, we were so excited to try this place. Restaurant was very crowded and we waited 30 minutes to be seated for our 12:30 reservation. (We had arrived early at 12:15, so we actually waited 45 minutes). We kept being told that our table was just finishing up and we were going to be seated "super soon." Meanwhile, kids (2 and 5) were getting antsy and people who came in after us were getting seated before us. After I complained the server offered the kids donuts that came right when we were sitting down. They were happy but it kind of ruined the birthday because we ended up having to cancel our afternoon plans. I would recommend planning better so that people with reservations could be seated on time. I was told that we were seated late because some people came late due to traffic. (They brought me a birthday ice cream, which was nice, but I don't eat ice cream.).

I know I'm supposed to love Woodberry Kitchen, with its gavitas, its farm-to-table ethic, its atmosphere, its urban hipster vibe. To me its just a little pretentious, as if they are selling the vibe more than the actual tastiness of the food. The bill can quickly get to be fairly breathtaking for Baltimore, and in terms of dollars-per-ounce or dollars-per-calorie, well, Woodberry belongs in DC or New York City.

People who have a palate for unusual culinary adventures (e.g., my wife) will and do love Woodberry Kitchen. People with palates hungering for traditional, recognizable favorites or comfort food (e.g., my college-aged daughter) will find frustration bordering on disappointment. People looking for a blend but with some sense of value (e.g., me) will leave feeling sated but also feeling that there are better (and certainly more economical) choices.

The food was great and we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff at the front had a warm welcome. The service was a bit odd. We ordered an appetizer that came after our meals, my husband asked for an espresso, and the waiter gave us our check and ran the card, said “thank you”, and then the espresso came to the table. It was all very odd. I had received a call to confirm our reservation and was asked what the occasion was for our visit. I told the person on the phone we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, but not sure why I was asked. Again, just a little odd. Everything else was great as we have never been to Woodberry and loved the look and feel of the restaurant.

This is one of the finest restaurants I have eaten at. From decor to vibe to staff...just lovely. A very nice wine list and great conversation about local wines led us to discover a Gruner / Viognier blend from Maryland that was outstanding! We had a two course brunch, with a side of housemade scrapple...everything....every thing... was delicious. Wonderful to see the ideal of supporting local farmers and purveyors actualize into such a perfect reality.

Woodberry Kitchen is an amazing restaurant. Their menu is updated daily to reflect what local ingredients are available. I have Celiac's, and was thrilled by the fact that they have an entire gluten-free menu available. When I mentioned my allergy to our waiter, he even brought a gluten-free biscuit to our table. Overall, the food and drinks were fantastic, and I will definitely be returning.

Wonderful setting inside of a restored 19th Century flour mill. Woodberry's farm to table approach makes their menu selections a delight to sample. Main course servings were fine, even requiring some in our party to take home uneaten portions. Their knowledgeable wait staff and sommelier made our business meeting an enjoyable event. A surprisingly plentiful wine menu. You won't be disappointed with your experience.

Awesome experience! I requested a window table for a little more privacy because it was our anniversary. We received the best service. Thee staff made our dinner so special. We received a free appetizer and a chocolate decorated note on our dessert plate for our anniversary which also had a bonus dip of sherbet. NOT to MENTION the FOOD was SPECTACULAR! We felt special..it was the perfect setting and evening. Thank you!

We have eaten at Woodberry Kitchen perhaps five times over the years. We were both disappointed in our Sunday evening birthday dinner. While we applaud the locally-sourced approach, we find it prescious and annoying that you won’t provide lemon, yet will serve coffee. It seems arbitrary. We each had two dishes, none of which made our taste buds jump off our tongues. As a good home cook, I thought I could do better myself, for far less money. The kitchen was “backed up”, causing the wait staff to come to apologize to us for the wait, and it wasn’t even that busy: there were empty tables. Had the food been better, the wait would have been irrelevant. Maybe it was just a bad night.
