   Wood is a pretty decent neighbourhood restaurant. But to be honest with a little more effort, care and imagination it could be something really special. The dishes are pretty tasty but could be elevated and executed better with just a little more attention. The venue looked great but was the temperature was too cold. The servers were a little too stand-offish, and didn’t pay attention so that the food was brought in the order requested, so I needed to send some dishes back to the kitchen as I wasn’t ready. Overall I’m not sorry I went and if some friends were meeting there for dinner I’d be fine to go, but I wouldn’t recommend it, or rush to re-book myself.

   Been here multiple times and its always excellent. Cocktails, wines, and food selections are easily paired and are absolutely 5 start. Service was very friendly and very timely. Love the ambiance

   Went for brunch (which was beyond delicious) and got a fabulous drag show for dessert!

   The kitchen was shot down so they only had cold food options and just one kitchen staff to prep. Which meant we waited 30+ minutes for a cheese plate + charcuterie board, then had to ask for an explanation of what we received only to be told they didn’t know what cheeses we were given.

   We hadn’t been since prepandemic and were honestly disappointed. The prices do not match the service and food. Our waiter was highly personable but food and drinks took far too long. Unfortunately probably won’t be back.

   I was disappointed with my experience. The food took about 45 minutes to arrive, and my mother’s entrée came out another 10 minutes later. The KFC was small and definitely not worth the $27 I paid. Overall, the meal didn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

    Overall, the food quality is mediocre. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you're in East Lakeview, it's an ok option, but the quality is not really anything special. The fries are fried in animal fat which may add taste, but it only works well if you have fresh cut fries. The only vegetarian option was Mac'n Cheese. Also, one of the major meat options (Beef Brisket) was not available at the very start of the evening (6pm).
