WONGS is a renowned Chinese Restaurant in Bristol specializing in historical and traditional Chinese cuisine. It is our intention not only to provide the local Chinese community with the most authentic Chinese cuisine; but also for everyone else to discover something new about Chinese cuisine. We hope that you enjoy the experience. WONGS gathers the best dishes from the eight main different Chinese culinary regions. This provides variety in our dishes as well as maintaining many of the truly historical Chinese dishes that have been enjoyed for many centuries. In order for WONGS to achieve a truly authentic taste, we source the freshest ingredient and seasoning from around the globe as well as from China. The spirit and ethos of the restaurant come from Annie, she has over thirty years of experience in Chinese cuisine. All of this has created a truly boutique Chinese restaurant.

The chilli oil sea bass is a must have! Been here year after year since I first discovered it in 2012, food has never failed to be awesome from then until now!

Average food and way too expensive. £70 for two veggie starters, Two mains tofu and beef and two diet cokes. Rip off

Wongs is a cut above the normal Chinese restaurant, with some unusual dishes on the menu along with the standard fare. The food tasted delicious and seemed to be freshly cooked with very good quality ingredients. We were there for an early Friday dinner. With us were two vegetarians who had a special dish cooked for them, which was recommended by the lady who appeared to be in charge of the restaurant. She couldn't have been more helpful. The decor of the restaurant is wonderful, with dark paneling and a richness about the whole look. We will definitely visit Wongs again when we are visiting our daughter at the university.

The roast duck and the chilli oil sea bass (oh yes, now I'm hungry again) have always been the best darn things about them. 10/10 will always be back! Annie is always such a lovely hostess

If you are looking to try something different this is the place to go. Rather than picking the standard dishes, which are available, go for a set price where they bring out a random selection and try things you would never normally order. I would highly recommend the sea bass curry.
