House Made Wollensky's Burger
English Cut Prime Rib
Prime rib and creamed spinach were very good. Staff were friendly and efficient. Outside seating a little cramped but nice and quiet.
Best restaurant in NYC
Great spot so glad it is reopened. Service and food were outstanding. It was a little noisy but that is the beauty of the grill. Highly recommend!
Do NOT order the Cream Spinach.. I went to S&W Grill last Wednesday- 7/21, took 5 of my work colleagues. We had a great time as expected, but I became deathly ill the following day, running to sit on the toilet 30 to 40 times a day, and this continued through the nights, for 4 straight days. Went to the Urgent Care on Saturday, wrote me a script, and still not back to normal. This happened to me a few years ago at Bobby Vans, cream spinach as well
For my money this is the best steakhouse in the world. The food is perfect, the service is outstanding and we've never failed to have a spectacular time there. For more formal gatherings I go to the main restaurant but for casual times (with family or just seeing friends for dinner/drinks) I always go to the Grill. The staff is super friendly and helpful and you really can't beat the dry aged meats. My favorite thing on the menu is the rib eye but the prime rib is amazing and the seafood is among the best you'll get anywhere. Try everything. You can't go wrong.
It was wonderful to be welcomed back to the Wollensky Grill by Nick, one of our favorite waiters. Our server tonight, Valerie, was charming, knowledgeable and efficient. She saved my husband from disappointment when he could not locate his favorite by directing him to another menu item that more perfectly replicated what he was looking for. My filet mignon sandwich was perfectly cooked. Our cocktails were superbly crafted and delicious. We are so glad this neighborhood favorite has survived COVID!
Nice place for a good lunch in midtown east with good quality food
Was happy to be back but disappointed with the price increases.
Our favorite restaurant in NYC. The bartenders have great personality and sense of humor. We had a great meal,as always.
Great food, terrific specials, excellent wine list, awsome service.
Felt welcomed from the minute we walked in and was greeted by the host. Server and bus staff terrific and knowledgeable. Food delicious. We haven’t been in many years and now we are wondering What took us so long to get back. We will be back again soon.
A+++++ service and of course A+++ food.
Bread was stale and wet. Burger overcooked
Manager took bread back to reheat not what I wanted to have stale wet bread reheated.
Excellent as usual
The server completely forgot about serving bread to the table, only realised 45 minutes after we sat. The main course also took too long to arrive, almost an hour hour after we sat. When asked, the server's response was the kitchen was busy. He also patted me twice on the back which I thought was unnecessary. Visibly seemed inexperienced. The food when it eventually arrived was very good, just took way too long.
Wouldn’t go again. Service very slow. Forgot my main dish. Just asked for bill and left. Hungry.
Great food and wine and attentive waiter. Noise level very high but fun place to enjoy a great meal with friends.
This is the best steakhouse in the world - period. The Grill is the less formal alternative to the main restaurant. Serious steaks, unbelievable seafood, delicious drinks and the best service in town. You simply can’t go wrong at S&W. Highest recommendation
Great food, service and ambiance.
For great steak at a great steakhouse…go. Great meal
Was such a treat to get to eat at one of our favorites again!
As always, food and service excellent!
Excellent Food and Excellent Service I am happy Smith and Wolensky's survived the pandemic
I returned as soon as it reopened. I love the Grill, you get the same amazing food but with more reasonable portions. Had the prime rib and two sides.
There were three in our party and we all ordered the English Cut Prime Rib. We were surprised when the waiter brought our order and each prime rib was cut with the bone on. We ordered creamed spinach and baked potatoes to go with the prime rib. Each order was cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a place with great prime rib, you cannot do better than Wollensky's Grill. We will definitely go back again for the prime rib.
We love the feeling in the place as much as the food and drink. It is comfortable just as always with great food, wine and service. We are never disappointed. Glad to see it back just as always.
Top notch! Great steaks, Sides and Wines.
First burger in 15 months, and even better than I remember (maybe part deprivation). I have so missed this place and hoped it would survive - and it did. Always great food, no matter what you order, and the quintessential NYC hangout.
The place was excellent, a little off on the crowds BUT the Staff and Service FABULOUS!
Nice to have them back!
What a great way to come back to NYC. Mike gave us great service, food was wonderful and Jeff Leiske asked me to give him a heads up next time. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Great place to enjoy an amazing steak with great company
Same price as the regular S&W, lower level of service, over-cooked steak.
This is a mainstay for us and we are never disappointed.
Classic steak restaurant with excellent service. Overall good quality, but not a good value for money on steak quality in my view. My Filet Mignon came in two pieces and had limited flavour (no seasoning provided, only cheap salt and pepper shakers on the table). I had expected more from the steak considering the price.
Longtime fan. Best “joint” in the city.
As usual excellent service and great steaks.
Everything was great except the table we sat at. Very cramped for a business lunch.
