Wolfgang's Steakhouse - Tribeca
The taste of the steak was amazing and the atmosphere and the service of the waiter who was in charge of our table were great. However, the waitress' attitude was very rude and she almost threw the dishes. The dinner was very satisfying, but her attitude made me feel a little unpleasant.
Kobe was a fabulous waiter. It was a great dinner all around.
If you are a steak lover, this is the place to go. from Filet Mignon, Porterhouse for two, and Sirloin Steak. Made to your recommendation. You are not rush to order or to eat. Great atmosphere. Great service, tentative, friendly. Typical steakhouse pricing.
Excellent dining experience. Food was great and ambiance was excellent.
Made reservations 3 weeks ago for a birthday celebration. When we first get in the host tries to seat us in the bar. I didn’t make reservations to sit in the bar with a bunch of knuckleheads yelling at the tv screens so we asked to wait. After about 5 minutes we get a good seat in the main restaurant. The waiter was an older gentleman who was in a big rush from the moment we sat down. He handed me the wine list and came back about 30 seconds later to ask what we wanted to drink. I told him I needed a few minutes to decide. So he gave us a whole minute and came back again. That was the theme of the night - I guess he was in a rush to go home. We got the porterhouse for 2 and it was beyond perfect! But my girl and I were taking our time and enjoying each other’s company. Once we were about half done with the steak he came by every 5 minutes to ask if he could clear or are we still working. I thought that steak in our mouth and on our plate was a good indicator that we were working on it. Anyhow - great food - sh—ty service.
Extremely loud room with poor acoustics, porterhouse not seasoned at all or sufficiently charred and what char there was was only on one side, German potatoes had no onions and were overcooked and served in a massive lump on the side plate, onion roll was tasteless white bread with a few dried onion chips on top.
Very rude manager. Food is ok, very salty. We have been this place so many times despite of rude staffs but this is last time. We will not come back again.
We were served like we were family...and I mean that in the best possible way
Food excellent. Great dining room. Wait staff is a bit pushy.
Never disappointed here. Everything is always top notch. Great wine list too.
Geburtstag, allerdings hat man diesen, meinem Schatz, vergessen... aber sonst war es perfekt!
My porterhouse was cooked to perfection rare plus. Best mac and cheese I've had in a long time quite filling. Lastly the apple strudel and whip heaven!!! Tastes like home
Another solid experience at Wolfgang's. Although I don't know why, when the restaurant was empty the hostess would sit us right next to the front entrance, next to the windows when it was negative 10 below outside.
I'm not one to complain so we sat there, but it always frustrates me when they give us such a crappy table. I mentally note this and it's the reason I mostly go to Benjamin's now.
Excellent all around . Highly recommend for any soecial occasion. Steak was amazing.
It was decent and unremarkable
My boyfriend and I ordered the filet mignon and the grilled salmon. I had a bite of the filet mignon and it melted in my mouth- it was AMAZING! My boyfriend loved it. The salmon was really good BUT the filet mignon was a show stopper. Our sides were the mashed potatoes and the steamed spinach. The mash potatoes were DELICIOUS but the steamed spinach was bland. We ended the night with the apple strudel and cheesecake for dessert. We asked for ice cream w/the apple strudel btw. Both desserts were REALLY good.
Unfortunately extremely loud, which lost a lot of ambience. The food is outstanding though not cheap.
The biggest fillet I have seen in a long time at 16 ounces. Great food and nicely spaced tables. Just beware the prices Are high
Very efficient, solid service, porterhouse was a bit tough, sides including the creamed spinach and German potatoes were excellent!
Awesome food and service
Steak was excellent. Portions are big. Kids friendly as well, although very loud.
It is definitely pricey. It is a family style order. And the wine is by the bottle and it is ridiculously expensive, with that said, we had ribeye, sirloin and lamb and it was absolutely delicious, the best steak and lamb we ever had and we eat out a lot in different states. I recommend it as a special event dinner.
Sides were cold. Steak ok. Removed bread service way too fast.
It was a wonderful experience I couldn’t ask for better!!
This is top 3 best steakhouse out there. Porterhouse is fantastic and the sides are all excellent, better than lugers. Usually the service is top knotch as well. Our waiter was not very personable or attentive to our table, which was a first. Still, I will keep coming back.
You will never want to have normal bacon again. It ruins bacon forever.
Food just wasn’t anything you can do better at home. Spinach tasted just defrosted and heated up, steak was ok, but nothing special, the pasta on the lobster Mac and cheese was way overcooked, and crab cake was on the salty side. Won’t recommend it.
Service was friendly and helpful, and the ambiance it’s nice, but no need to go back.
Everything was perfect. Both the food and the service were incredible.
Excellent in every respect. Expensive!
Excellent! Highly recommend :)
Excallent in every way.
Good for it
always love going to Wolfies in tribeca. The wait staff knows me and always makes me feel special. The Porterhouse is the best in the city.
Initial Greeter gave us attitude and a cold stare the whole time.
Always a great dinner experience and Mickie was our waiter and he’s always attentive and fun!
Food was delicious and service was excellent.
