I’ve been many times and always enjoy it and find their food a good value despite the prices. Top quality steaks. But in recent lunch visit, the lobster salad was nowhere NEAR worth the menu price in terms of quality or portion size. Guess I should just always stick with their steaks.
The place is amazing, the music was a flute and a singer, so elegant
The hostess was lovely and greeted us warmly. The Cesar salad was not spectacular, but the salmon was grilled perfectly!! Definitely recommend!
Food was okay. Service was okay. My drink was just okay. Food took over 45 minutes to come out. We did not have any appetizers or salad.
Food and service was excellent as always.
Wolfgang was on site which made it an extra special night.
Very nice sincere man.
Dinner took forever to come out multiple tables complained!!! Absolutely Horrible
Always a great experience.
Outstanding dinner. Delicious seafood; steak; cocktails. Kudos to Adonis and Milot, extraordinary servers. Personable. Professional. Informative and kind.
As usual food was excellent. Service was just a notch where it should be. Have never had to wait 10 minutes then flag a waiter at a Ruth’s Chris before. Still the best steakhouse in the Somerset county area imo.
The hostess and wait staff are amazing all they do is try to help make your occasion special
Terrific as always! Great steaks, superb service, ample bar selections expertly made.
Unfortunately the staff and the management are some what rude. There were 4 tables with 5 or more people and because we were just 2 people we were pretty much ignored and the attitude fit. Will never eat here again.
Food was excellent from pear, arugula salad to filet mignon to creme brûlée. Service was very slow. Ambiance was energetic and live entertainment was amazing. Would definitely recommend and will go again.
Food was excellent! Waiter was extremely rude! Overall service was below average.
Food was great for 3 of 4 meals. A little too loud and a bit too dark (lighting) for our taste.
We ordered dessert and received something unexpected. Happy anniversary written on the plate with chocolate. Extra special thanks
The steak I had, was a Ribeye, and I was a little worried that it would be too fatty, but it was one of the best Ribeyes I have ever had. Thick and meaty, with just the right amount of fat at the edge. Steak must have been 2 inches thick. Appetizer of Lobster was awesome for two people. You better be hungry. One note: I found a good bottle of wine on their list, which I thought was fairly underpriced for a restaurant, so I ordered it. They came back and said they were out but that they would give me a higher priced bottle for the same lower price. I felt a little bit of bait and switch, as the bottle I pick was better.
I consider myself somewhat of a regular at Wolfgang’s. It has for a long time been one of my go to steak restaurants, long before the Somerville location in fact, many business lunches in NYC. I was there for dinner the Sunday evening of the Labor Day weekend and was most definitely surprised by the lackluster service. The waiter wasn’t very attentive, they neglected to bring one of our ordered appetizers until we mentioned it and the whole meal was therefore delayed. No accommodation, no offer to pay for the afformentioned late appy at all. It would also be a nice touch if they recognized you as a returning customer when checking in, such as “welcome back Mr so and so”, it’s the little things that count in the long run. Maybe I’ll check out Char, I hear that’s very good. Thanks. Regards. Ned.
Service was a let down. We have been to their NYC location and it was much better experience. Would not go there again
Hostesses were rude. I specifically asked for a quiet table when reserving and when confirming. It was our 15th wedding anniversary. Not only did they try to seat us in the middle of the patio and dining room but they were rude when we asked to be moved. It was very loud. Even in the back corner of the restaurant it was hard to talk. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly but I could've had tastier chicken next door at Alfonso's. He specifically requested butter for his baked potato which was not brought. All in all we prefer to atmosphere and food at Char, which is also a little cheaper.
We went for my sons 18th birthday dinner. The seafood tower was delicious and very fresh. My children both had filet which was excellent and my husband and I had the porterhouse for two which was delicious and better than at most steak places in NJ. They brought a piece of key lime pie with a candle in it for my son even though we did not order dessert. Perfect tart and sweet key lime pie. It was probably the best I have ever had. My one complaint and suggestion is the creamed spinach. It was basically inedible. Please get a new recipe. It was sour and just not good. We will definitely return soon and will just order different side dishes.
Been to Wolfgang’s several times and this may be our last. The steaks are good but everything else is below par. My wife isn’t a meat eater and ordered the red snapper special and complained it was overcooked and tasted fishy. Ate one bite and it went to waste The spinach was dry and tasteless. She did enjoy the crab meat cocktail it was plentiful and tasty. The bacon appetizer was ok nothing great and the heirloom tomatoes were nothing special. We did tell the waiter about the tasteless fish and they picked up her dessert. Being a frequent steakhouse diner, Wolfgang’s is below average and not worth the money .
Great until we had to wait forever for the check. The suddenly forgot we were there.
We come here once in awhile but we do we always get the porterhouse for 2 or more. They have always cooked it to our liking!
Excellent food and service and ambiance and plenty of parking including valet
Celebrating a job promotion. Porterhouse steak for 2 was amazing. Will definitely be back !
Ahmed is a great waiter. He’s Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
You must try the grilled Veal chop and the asparagus
The entire group (four of us) ordered various types of steak. The quality of the meat and preparation were excellent and as ordered. The waiter was very professional , as was the overall quality of service. Our only negative was the bacon on the wedge salad , which was chunks of deep fried fat. We would not order again.
It's like having a Peter Luger steak house right next door. Awesome meal!
Excellent food. We have been here several times. Best steaks ever. No need to go to NYC anymore
Staff and food are always great! They make you feel special and tonight’s service was no different! Always will come back
Warm greeting as we arrived, and they accommodated us with an outdoor table on a beautiful evening. The food is simple and there is something on the menu for all tastes. Portions are adequate. NY Strip Loin was cooked properly and enough to share. Salads were tasty and fresh. Wine by the glass selection was well varied. Service was attentive for a Saturday night.
Great upscale atmosphere. Saturday night, but late reservation time, and it was packed. Extremely loud. Hard to converse among the 4 of us. A la carte makes it pricier. Filet was filet. Hard to mess up. Rib-eye was huge. Giant lobster as stated on menu. Service was good with a lot of them tending to each table. Had been for lunch in the past. Much quieter and my salad was impressive as was the service. Will go back, but not in a rush. It’s a once in a while, twice a year kind of place for dinner. Want to try it on a quieter night.
Of course the setting, semi-outdoors in downtown Somerville, NJ is very, very nice. The waiters were attentive but not obtrusive; the food excellent although some items came out a little cold.; we did not complain as the setting was conducive to enjoying the meal and conversing.
Party of 6 gathered for drinks and dinner at Wolfgang's Steakhouse to celebrate my wife's birthday. Excellent service. Food - seafood and steaks - were exceptional. It was a perfect place and atmosphere to laugh and celebrate the special occasion.
It is my birthday today.
Great food with ambiance and great waiters!
We couldn't get a reservation at Peter Lugers for my husband's birthday. The food at Wolfgang's was just as good and the ambience was much better! And - we didn't have to fight traffic going to Brooklyn.
