N. Y. Sirloin Steak
Porterhouse for Two or More
Disappointed. Food is way overpriced. Service was average and should be better when paying $112 for a Porterhouse for two. Steak fries tasted like McDonalds French fries. Crab meat cocktail was excellent but at $25 it better be. Drinks are expensive..$18 for a bourbon sour and $17 for a martini. Atmosphere is very loud. All in all the meal was OK but nothing to rave about. I’ve paid less for steak that was just as good if not better.
Very expensive for quality of food. Salmon was over cooked. Restaurant is ala carte.
Love the steak for 2! And creamed spinach!
wolfgangs is noted for excellent service and that is what we pay for and expect. However my last trip felt more like diner service. the waitor didn’t bring a menu for 30 minutes after we sat down and forgot to bring the drink order over for another 20 minutes. He never came over to see if we needed anything and rushed us to finish our salads so he could clear the table for our entrees we left right after dinner so we could get dessert somewhere else. Could not wait to leave
Overall terrible experience
Great steak. Lamb is some of the best. Lobster cocktail is dry plain and small. Picture a 1 lb lobster left in the fridge overnight. Service is not great. Bunch of old men running around acting testy and impatient. The best server we had was a guy who might have been 90. Even though the steak was delicious it was about $100 per person without alcohol.
Steaks were great and the creamed spinach was solid but the overall price was a bit crazy for what we got. Happy we went but won’t make it a regular stop.
Amazing time celebrating my Rutgers graduation!
I know that it was a busy day, Mother’s Day, so I didn’t expect great, attentive service. But there is no reason for the server to not be pleasant.
The food was outstanding. Steak was better than I have had at Ruth Chris and Capital Grill. The mashed potatoes were also done to perfection. Desert (Keylime pie)
The wait staff was excellent and provided great service. However, the food was mediocre and was not worth the price.
The waiter no good he looks like he doesn't want to do good whit us.
Lasta time went we was there it was on February the waiter was very friendly, this one no.
Ant the tomak meet doesn't had a rosemary and was over cooked.
First time out and went for Mother’s day. Everything really was very good. Would go back again
We arrived at 11:30 AM for our 90-minute brunch reservation. We were promptly seated and had placed our full order (drinks, appetizer, salads, entrees, and sides) by 11:40. Our drinks, salads & appetizer were out by 11:53 AM. The drinks, salads and appetizer were all wonderful. Then the wheels fell off the cart. Our plates were cleared by 12:15 PM with the advice from our server that our entrees would arrive in a couple of minutes. While waiting, we ordered a couple of sodas, which came within 2-3 minutes. Our server stopped by to let us know that our entrees would be arriving shortly. 12:45 rolled arond and the server stopped by for a 3rd time to let us know that our entrees would be arriving shortly. By 12:55, we asked our what the status of our entrees was at it had been 40 minutes now. We advised our server that we had an appt at 2:00 and this was a 40 minute drive. He came back to advise that our entrees would be out within the next 5 minutes. At 1:00 he came over to advise it would be another few minutes at which we advised we couldn't wait and to please bring us our check as we had to leave. He walked away, got the manager and followed him into the kitchen. We waited another 5 minutes and manager appeared with 3 servers and our food. We advised that we no longer had time to eat at this point and he asked if we wanted the food to go. Unfortunately, we had to decline as the food would be sitting in a car for the next 3 hours due to our appt. The manager then told us just to leave and he would cover the bill. It was awkward and not the experience we hopping for on an EARLY Sunday brunch. Sadly, we're leaving the tri-state area without the change to eat at a Wolfgang eatery after binging Top Chef during the Pandemic.
It is a nice place to have a steak. I would go back again. Do not get fooled by the price, it is a very big portion, steak for two can easily server three people and even four.
Food and service was outstanding. Our new to go to
Food was great!
Premium pricing for very average service. Wait staff was not particularly attentive. Food quality was first rate and ambiance was very nice.
The 8 Oz filet was terrible. Tough and the German potatoes were over salted. Bread baskets was good
Great ambiance and on top service.
Overpriced for a confusing experience. Guests were dressed anywhere from jeans and khaki shorts to dresses and button-down shirts. The music was club music while children were present at the restaurant and happy birthday was being sung. I had made reservations two weeks prior and while I understand covid distancing, it was interesting to be sat at a booth next to the bar with the most activity and a garbage can within 5 feet of our table. Restaurants can set the tone for the customers they want to attract and the whole experience was extremely confusing and overpriced for the seemingly casual dining experience.
The tomahawk steak was excellent and beautifully cooked. Terrific service as usual.
Great ambience. Definitely a city vibe. Exhaustive wine list - including $ 3500 bottles of Bordeaux. Steak was moist and done just right.
We were having a wonderful dining experience, similar to the NUMEROUS dining experiences we’ve had before until the Manager abruptly decided it was time for us to go. We were in the process of paying our tab, my husband just finished his coffee and the manager decided to clear off our table. Coffee cup too! My husband usually has a second cup! The Manager did see our dislike for his actions, he did apologize and my husband did get another cup of coffee. Hopefully , this was an “off” night for the Manager!
It was very nice experience. Food and services was great would highly recommend.
Nice service & great food. Place is clean. Easy to book
The Best Steakhouse in New Jersey... BAR NONE! Excellent service and atmosphere. The chilled seafood tower and Filet Mignon (8 oz. & 16 oz.) was dynamite. We will definitely come back again and again. Price? It was worth it, period.
Soup was cold as was the seating area. Steaks and drinks were good
Very special anniversary for both couples.
Excellent food and service as always! We will definitely be returning!
Certainly not worth the money. The porterhouse was barely okay. We ordered it medium rare and it came out medium. They're priced higher than most of the good steakhouses in the city and not nearly as good.
Salad and soup came out at the same time? Steak fries are “French fries”! Steak just good , not worth the money. Never to return. Way over priced!!
Food is always amazing and great dining experience !!
Food and service, absolutely top notch. Same waiter as the last time, remembered what had the prior time. Absolute Pros
Great food and service. Pricey as expected. We were there on a Saturday night and every table was full, however there were plastic barriers between the closer placed tables.
My husband and I are great fans of Peter Lugers, so we were very happy to find that the porterhouse steak for two tasted exactly the same, as well as the German potatoes and creamed spinach.
We definitely plan on returning here
Wolfgang's is a reliably excellent steakhouse. It is presently struggling a bit with re-acclimating to a near full capacity crowd.
A terrible dine in experience. Never going back and never recommend this restaurant. The waiter didn’t explain the menu and the price thoroughly and the steak is dry and under seasoned! For 2 adults and a toddler we spent like almost 300$ because the waiter didn’t explain the pricing of the menu. We had a food to go but we decided to leave it on the table instead because not worth to take it home!!! I regret booking a reservation and driving far just to dine in here!!! If i could rate this restaurant and the staff negative 5 I would!!!!
Outstanding food and service. We will definitely be back.
