Porterhouse for Two or More
Excellent food served with precise timing. Noisy ambiance. Amateur hour service. NYC pricing requires all three be excellent.
Food was very good as was the services. It was a busy day(Thanksgiving) and the service, delivery of our order was perfect. Ambience is nice - it was not loud we could actually hear one another across the table., we were a party of 7. Drinks were good. Enjoyed our dinner.
Friendly service Waitperson knowledgable about wine list. Steaks 2021 expensive but cooked to correct temperatures and good
Great place for a special occasion.
Took my husband for 60 th.
His ribeye, my filet were melt in your mouth delicious. Issa our waiter was charming. It was a wonderful night.
Oh and they have a real wine list, many of our favorites to choose from.
Service not close to par with any of the other Wolfgang’s
Waited 30 minutes for my appetizer and the meal came out before the appetizer. They took meal back and then I ate my appetizer.
Then they brought the same food out again and it was cold
Waiter was not particularly friendly.
First time dining here and was not impressed The appetizer selection was limited, with mostly seafood choices and very average salads so we skipped that course. Good variety of entree choices. We ordered a steak and fish dish but thought both were bland with not much flavor. Sides were plentiful enough to share. Ordered sautéed broccoli which again needed more seasoning and steak fries which ended up being thin cut fries that looked like they could have been frozen. Service was good up until we needed the check. Disappointing experience and will not be rushing back.
Great as usual!
Excellent food. Fantastic service. Went there for a special occasion. Reservation was right on time. Definitely will go back again.
A NYC quality restaurant located in Somerville NJ. The service is professional and friendly. The steaks are well prepared and the sides are great. Nice location for a business or friends get together.
I've been meaning to visit and finally booked a reservation. Entire staff were very pleasant, service spot on and the food cooked perfectly as we ordered. Not sure what I waited so long to make a reservation, but excellent place to have dinner!!!
Excellent as usual!!! It’s the best!
I ordered a steak sandwich. It was not cooked to my specifications. When it was returned to me,it was still too rare. There was a great deal of fat on the meat that was tough. Very disappointing lunch. I had a great lunch at the restaurant a while back and was looking forward to returning for another great experience.
Though they were very busy, their waiter staff took care of our needs. The steaks were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The ribs were meaty yet tender. The asparagus and mushrooms sides were delicious too. Paired with a pinot noir, the meal was a home run. Very classy interior. First time there and definitely not my last.
Food was delicious -However Service was absolutely terrible, Each time a drink was brought the the table it was spilled and left. Our request for a bday candle was ignored. We would have received better service at a diner, which is unacceptable considering our bill was over $300 for two people
Amazing food, amazing staff. Love coming here.
Great spot for a birthday celebration. Attentive service. Portions large enough for lunch the next day!
Great food and service.
Fried calamari was extremely bland. Cajun Ribeye, possibly the worst ribeye I’ve ever had. Very overrated establishment.
consistently excellent service and quality
Amazing as always. The steak was perfectly cooked and the service was wonderful. I'm definitely coming back
Unfortunately, the shrimp cocktail was very fishy. We only had four shrimp and we didn't eat more then a bite of one. The steak and salmon were just fine, but lacked flavor
steak cooked perfectly, manhattans on point, oysters briney and delicious. of course it comes at a price, but if you have the money its well worth it
Great food and service but only thing was that people were sitting a little too closely for comfort
Always a great meal, staff may be a little too attentive. Lots of interruptions to make sure everything is ok. Overall I love the restaurant.
Birthday celebration. Food and service were amazing!
While it tries it will never be as good as Peter Lugers
Very disappointed in our reservation as the service was really, really bad. At one point, we sat at our table for approximately 40 minutes without any server coming to our table. We were only able to get our check because we called the waiter over and even that was a chore. The table behind us was seated after us and got up and left because no one came over to take their order. Also, the food was just okay. It will be very hard for me to go back there.
This is the place you bring a customer to show them how much you value their commitment. Food speaks for itself, glasses are never empty, and service is second to none.
When eating at Wolfgang's you get what pay for. I've eaten there at least a dozen times and they never disappoint.
We had an open table reservation for 8:45pm. We arrived early at 8:15pm and checked in and then sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited. That part was great! However, by 9:15pm we still weren’t seated. I asked the hostess and she said it would still be a few more minutes. 10 minutes later and she still never came to seat us. Thankfully the wonderful bartender went to say something and we were then finally seated by 9:25pm (for an 8:45pm reservation!). We ordered our food immediately since we were starving. The appetizers came out fast but our steaks / rest of the meal didn’t come out until 10:15pm! My husbands steak was cooked correctly but wasn’t piping hot & his baked potato was still hard. My filet mignon was supposed to be medium and came out so over done it was incredible disappointing especially for the cost here! A table next to us had their plates literally sizzling as we could hear it as the waiter walked by. Ours certainly weren’t sizzling at all upon arrival. The ambiance is nice but it’s not intimate if you’re there for a special occasion like we were (our anniversary). We were very disappointed. The waiter did treat us to a complimentary anniversary dessert & glass of champagne which was very nice and unexpected. So we didn’t leave bummed after that, but again, was quite disappointed with the incredibly long wait and the food that wasn’t cooked correctly.
Yes, it's brutally expensive (the wine markups here could balance the federal budget) but every now and then you want that classic steakhouse experience. It's impossible to replicate at home, and with far less formality, so you simply accept it's going to cost you three or four Benjamins.
Wolfgang's has become our go-to place when we really feel like an amazing steak. Salads are always fresh ($14-$18), steaks are beautifully prepared (my $75 ribeye was perfectly "Pittsburgh") and with creamed spinach, onion rings (the real thing, too) and the most fabulous roasted mushrooms it's the epitome of the steakhouse experience. Our servers are nicely formal, attentive, and polite but with personality. We managed to find a reputable sub-$100 cabernet (90% of the wine list tops one-hundred with many three or four times that-it's an attitude with steakhouses) and plenty of leftovers for midweek nachos.
Dessert list was nice but we had no room for it.
We look forward to our next craving and a return to Wolfgang's.
Great food for the price. Sides are good sized portions. Drinks and dessert a bit pricey,
Billy was an awesome guy. Food was good.
We enjoyed our 10 wedding anniversary there.
Excellent food and service. Ate outside and had a great evening.
While the food was excellent the service was not up to par. We waited 35 minutes to get our check after letting the waiter know we wanted it. In addition, the noise level was so loud we were shouting at our table to hear each other.
Always very good food and very thorough service. Somewhat pricey.
