Wolfgang's Steak House - Times Square
Visited on holiday. Portions are too large while prices are even larger!
The restaurant was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. The food was excellent. It's my second experience with Wolfgang's, one in Miami and now in NYC... both superb!
We had a great evening! Food was delicious, waiters were so nice and happy. We mentioned we had jlo tickets and they paced but moved our dinner In a convenient fashion. cAnt wait to go back!!
Always a pleasant experience. Food is great and the staff is wonderful. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be so.
Was first time at the restaurant and will come again
great food and wonderful service Would go back in a heartbeat
The food was amazing and the server was very friendly.
Had to return the steak but the second one was tasty!!!
Fabulous food and top class service; will definitely return!
Very good but came after show and did not know kitchen closed at 11pm and we could not even order desert. Very disappointed!! Also bottle of rose was warm so had to keep adding ice and water to ice bucket. Which they did bit a few times waiters came by and tried to pour in our glass and was too warm to drink.
Great meal however way to noisy. I could barely hear my date talk. The food was delicious with huge portions. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Nice place for a friends night out but wouldn't recommend for a intimate setting.
My Chilean Sea Bass was excellent. simply broiled and very fresh. My wife ordered a tuna tartare as an entree, which she enjoyed very much. The dessert was an excellent hot fudge sundae.
Overall the meal was very good.
Portion are large and excellent. Largest filet I’ve seen, must be 12 ounces plus. Not complaining, just be prepared for excellent steak.
Ribeye was outstanding!! Cooked perfect and the flavor was on point.
I have been there twice in the last 2 weeks and have enjoyed it each time.
We asked the waiter to bring our wine with the meal, but he ignored the request. The table next to use was more than loud. The food was good, not great but good. It was next to the theater, so it worked out great.
Location and interior are great; tables not too close together. The hostess seemed to prefer to gesture versus to speak and basically pounced on us as we walked in versus waiting for us to approach the hostess stand and state we had a reservation. The waitstaff was comprised of only males. Every item brought to the table was given to the incorrect patron- and there were only two.
What can you say about Wolfgang’s? We started off with Bacon and crab cakes. The crab cake could feed two and is fabulous. With that we got the seafood platter! Expensive? Worth every penny! You can hardly finish it! Next the porterhouse! Outstanding!! We had 5 in our party and the porterhouse for 4 was too much! Finally, our service was top notch as was dessert! This will be our families “special occasion” every time!! Great job!!
Very tasty food, Porter House is highily recommended! Service was great and the surprise was awesome!
Nice setting. Good solid if basic menu. Filet mignon was huge as was the price tag. I would have been happier with one half the size and half the price. Ditto the salads and sides. Wine selection limited but good. Service was not what one expects at these prices. Do appreciate having it as an option in this location.
Terrible Service! Under cooked steak and no one came to my table to ask me if it was alright after it was dropped off. Won’t go back!
Portions were too large for our taste, and it was very loud, but I see no way to improve it because of the high ceilings.
Great food ( every dish)Al was one of the best Servers ever. He listened
I’ve had better steak in much less expensive steakhouses.
Service and food excellent and well timed. Came for our anniversary and at the end was surprised with a superb dessert
The poorest experience I have ever encountered in any NYC restaurant.
Poor service, empty water and tea glasses, while restaurant was not busy.
The waiter did not offer the lunch menu to all tables.
The food and service was very good
It was not what I expected from an New York steak house. I expected something older and more throw back
They food was very good, the service wasn’t as good as I was expecting for such an experience restaurant.
The best macaroni and cheese!
It was a perfect dinner. I brought my friend who is visiting from other country and got disappointed at Peter Ruger’s. She got so satisfied with everything there.
Way too noisy. Waiter was great. Prices were very high but I expected that. Steak was excellent
Birthday dinner. The food was great. Service was so, so - very dry waiter.
Good food, Bad service.
My server was kind of rude.
Whenever I request something, I always said "thank you appreciate." However, he said nothing back to me with disgruntled face. Every servers in the restaurant were not friendly.
This was our first time to a Wolfgang steak house. We have been to several other famous NYC steak houses and Wolfgang’s has become our new favorite for two reasons. First, the steak was exceptional. However it was cooked was truly different than other steak houses and we found the cooking superb. Second, the service was outstanding. It was both friendly and very attentive. We look forward to going back.
This place is so loud it detracts from eating here. Also, the steaks were served on plates so hot that the meat kept cooking after it was served. So the first pieces were great, last pieces over cooked. If you’re going to splurge on a steak dinner, go to Keens instead.
Overall, the dining experience was good. We chose the restaurant as we knew the food would be good. Been to Wolfgang's a few times and it's been consistently top notch. I only wish the tables were spread out a bit more. Not asking for a ton more room, but it was rather annoying having other guests right up against our backs and wait staff bumping you every time they came through.
Too noisy you cannot hear your partner , sirilon steak chewy ,we have been asked twice to "squeeze," in order to enable the team to set up tables, the glazing of the cream brole was hard like a n egg shell
