Wolfgang's Steak House - Times Square Ratings and Reviews
Food was delicious...I don't know if it was because my friends and I were young looking but I felt like we were ignored when we were trying to ask for the drink menu, we eventually got the wine after 3 tries of getting the waiters attention...I think I gave too much tip and the service wasn't the best service I ever had
The service and food were superb. The steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I started with clams on the half shell and the clams were melt in your mouth tender. The cottage fries were crisp and delicious. The bartender made me a perfect Old Fashioned. The only negative was the noise level. It was loud and not very intimate.
If you did not know there was a lunch menu to order from the wait staff only offer more expensive fare from their dinner menu. We had to ask for that menu.
Time from ordering food to receiving same was too long to make a 2 pm curtain. No time left to order dessert.
Food was just ok
Expensive for what was offered.
Food was mediocre for the restaurant had to send back my steak as it came medium well not medium rAre. Service was abysmal. Waiters had too many tables. Swept the drinks before asking if we were done or wanted a refill. Nowhere to be found. For spending STEAKHOUSE money I would go elsewhere like Keans Capitol Grille Sparks. I have eaten in other Wolfgang’s and I will avoid this one in the future
My wife and I had a memorable dinner at Wolfgang's during our weekend visit to the Big Apple. The restaurant itself was very comfortable, with a very pleasant ambiance. The food was outstanding, as were wine and dessert. We found the service impeccable if a bit hurried.
Definitely the best meal we had in NY during our visit. We will be back!
DO NOT GO THERE!!! I have been to the location on Park Ave numerous times and loved it. We were in the neighborhood of this restaurant and figured we’d give it a try - WRONG MOVE. Everything about our order came out wrong, we ordered our steak medium and it came out rarer than rare. We complained and the manager Tony and he said, and I kid you not, “there’s nothing I can do about it. I am not taking it off your bill.” I told him I didn’t ask him to take it off my bill, I just wanted it cooked how I ordered. He continued to tell me there wasn’t anything he could do. INSANE. Eventually my finance told me we’d just take it home to finish cooking it. Yes, that was the solution. We had to take our uncooked $100 steak home to finish cooking it since Tony could not do anything about it.
I have NEVER been at a restaurant where the management is so incredibly rude and where customer service was so terrible. Stay far away from this location and useless Tony.
Steak was excellent. The restaurant, and, especially the bar, was crowded and noisy. It's clearly a very popular spot, but, therefore, not a good choice for a quiet, relaxing dinner. The noise level also made it difficult to converse with friends. It took a while to get our first drink at the table, but, after that service was good for additional drinks and food.
The noise level was so loud that even at my small table for 2, I couldn't hear my husband nor could he hear me. Service was erratic, the main goal seemed to be how fast the table could turn over. And then I received an email that I neglected to meet my reservation - the last straw! Only trouble is there are only 2 restaurants near the theaters on 42nd St., this being one of them, and the food was pretty good.
Not only did our very costly steaks come out before we were even half done with our salads, the waiter had the nerve to ask us if we wouldn’t mind setting aside the salads and eat our steaks instead, because the kitchen had obviously made a mistake. Not on a bet! Not for a $320 dinner for two!
They went back, but when they eventually returned, my husband’s steak was perfect, but mine was no longer medium rare!
won't go again. People with food allergies beware. I told the head waiter my daughter is deathly allergic to eggs and asked him to verify the salad she choose had no eggs. He confirmed it did not but when salad was served it clearly contained eggs and we sent it back. Also had to wait 25 minutes after we were seated to have our cocktails served.
