Wolfgang's Steak House - Times Square
The biggest and most tasty Filet Mignon I ever had. Do not order too many sides because they are huge!!!
Foods and service was great
The best part was the steak. The rest was not at the top of their game.
The service was wonderful.
I asked that we not be rushed because I was having a business dinner and we had a lot to go over.
They paced the meals accordingly.
The food was very good.
We had the chopped salad, shrimp cocktail, porterhouse for 2, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, pecan pie with vanilla ice cream on top
As steak houses go ... not good ... have been to much better ... a lot of money for a very mediocre meal and service ...
We had a great time and the service was very good - a bit too noisy
The ambiance was nice and the food was good but not great. The service was the least memorable with the servers answering questions about the menu in one word answers. They were constantly hanging out at their server stations and not paying attention to filling waters or taking away dirty dishes. The meal was expensive and the service was equivalent to a low end diner. Going to skip this place, not worth the price.
Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. Steak over-cooked. Sent back and then came out significantly under-cooked. Manager (who seemed like it was his 4th day on the job) acted like he was doing us a favor when taking it off the bill. The servers are always top notch and seemed to be sympathetic to the situation. The make a mean martini though....
The ribeye steak is excellent!
great food & service
felt rushed to finish and free the table not pleasant
especially as it is an EXPENSIVE experience
料理はporter house steak を2人前。味、焼き加減ともに文句なし。やはりココはいつ来ても感動がある。ま、たまにしか行けないので。。
Very good taste.
We have been disapointed by the tourist factor and unmotivated staff. Have been at Madison Av. a couole of years ago, was much better. My expectations much higher for your pricing,.
The food was great. The service was exceptional from all of the staff. The restaurant is very well maintained and beautiful.
One of my favorite in NYC. Been there 2-3 times in the past, will definitely come back.
It was okay. Food and atmosphere. But the service was not what I expect it. He doesn't explain that much and never comments anything. This was my 3rd times to visit, but I am so disappointed.
Very nice lunch menu with steak salad and steak sandwich. Service could be improved much more. Our conversation got intermittently interrupted not in a polite way
Dinner before show
Amazing. Food was so good, lots of it and for the quality and size of the portions, priced reasonably (keep in mind that it's NYC, times Square). Waiter was great! Will definitely return next time we are in NYC!
Went there to celebrate my daughter’s 15th Birthday. Made the notes when I booked. Waiter was amazing however the attitude of everyone changed when we didn’t want dessert and I asked if they knew it was my daughter’s birthday. While there we saw 2 persons being sang to for their birthday. That’s all I wanted but it seems they thought we wanted FREE dessert. Horrible attitude towards us really sad as food and everything else was good.
Except seat assignment, I actually enjoyed great steak and service. They separate Japanese guys near sur la. I felt it’s like discrimination.
Steak is amazing -- Melted in our mouths!!!
Waiter very friendly and accomodating
First time visit with my wife. Wolfgang's salad,rib-eye stake, glasses of red wine completely made us happy as last night dinner of our short trip to NY.
Superb steak and very tasty fish, especially the Chilean sea bass and the salmon. Excellent service, too: Speedy, efficient and friendly. We told our waiter we needed to leave to attend an event at The New York Times, and he arranged for dinner to be delivered very promptly. Even though the noise level can be high, we love this place and will be back.
Love Wolfgang! Kind servers
Awesome as always. And we met mr. Wolfgang! First time since we’ve been going there in years!
The food was sooo good! Great service!
The meat was absolutely fantastic. In our case Porterhouse for two. Ordered medium rare and it came medium rare. Salads and wine were also excellent. Only the double espressos were not up to the same level. All in all it was a great experience.
Well done Wolfgang!
Rude waiter. Unkind receptionist. The waiter almost threw silverware. Not worth price. Food is so-so.
Don’t make a late reservation. The kitchen closes at 11. So if you start at 10:15 don’t expect coffee or desert
Both My daughter and I attended Wolfgang's Steakhouse after seeing Pretty Woman this past Saturday, 8/10/19.We were greated at the front desk by a lovely young lady with a Beautiful welcoming Smile whom also escorted US to our table. From that point on the Service was excellent ,constantly checking on US as to how everything was. My daughter had a Petite filetmignon and I had the NY Sirloin steak and both were cooked to perfection(Medium, with a little pink color) Perfecto! The mixed salad she had was excellent as was My Shrimp Cocktail. As a side We shared The Mashed Potatoes which was very good also. And Finally to top off the evening much to My Surprize The waiters came out with a Tiramasu Cake topped with wip cream and a strawberry and sang happy B'Day to My daughter. Very Nice touch! All in All it was a Wonderful and Delicious experience. Thanks to All for making are 1st time there a very Pleasant experience!!! thankyou John Badome
We were very disappointed with the food. We expected a good meal given that we were at Wolfgang’s. One steak was flavorless and the other was barely better. When you ask for medium, expect medium/quite rare and when you ask it to be cooked a little more, expect it to be charred on the outside but still too rare in the middle. The staff was very nice. Will definitely go elsewhere the next time. Given the cost of our meal, it isn’t worth a second visit.
Best steak meal we've had in NYC. A little loud (probably because of the glass and high ceilings)
and certainly pricey but well worth the trip. Service by Alen was attentive and pleasant.
It is in a beautiful location in the NY Times building. The decor was ok, nothing special, and it was quite loud inside. The service was very good but for the manager. I ordered filet mignon medium rare and it came out medium. The server saw it immediately and she had the manager come over. He came over so hesitantly it was obvious he was not going to be helpful. He looked at the dish and asked, "do you want it cooked more?" I said, "no, it is overcooked, it is supposed to be medium rare" (which he knew bc the server told him already) and he said it was just the lighting making it look overcooked. I was like, whatever dude, thanks for nothing! I'm not interested in wasting food but usually in fine steakhouses, they are so quick to make things right, yet this guy didn't even offer to do so, he blamed it on the lighting! I wouldn't say don't go there because of this but to the owners - Get a New Manager!
It was not crowded but service was mediocre. They can do better.
