Wolfgang's Steak House - Times Square
You smell the food you are going to be served in the whole restaurant. Everything else really good.
Second time visiting Wolfgang and definitely looking forward to the third one. Steak - even better than the first Wolfgang I'd been to. Ambiance - luxurious and quiet.
Great food and drinks for a good price!!!
The steak and lobster was excellent. The portions were huge and neither of us could eat it all. The wait staff was very friendly and did an excellent job. Definitely will go back
Great food good selection of wine very convenient locating at Times Square
Great food service and atmosphere.
I had higher expectations based upon reviews and various site rankings but it did not live up to them. I like to try new places every time I visit the city but many times I am disappointed. I ordered the ribeye, it was good, but the porterhouse for 2 seemed to lack a lot of flavor. In fact the filet portion even tasted funny. We did not send it back. But honestly, I rank places on one question to myself, "would I go back?". And the answer here is, no. It wasn't horrible but I won't be going back.
We arrived early for our bar seating reservation. The staff was very accommodating and offered open seats at the bar. Good option! The bartender was a terrific server and took great care of us. We shared the tomato and mozzarella and a crab cocktail. Then we shared a perfectly prepared rib eye with home made onion rings that were delicious. All in all a great pre or post theater dining spot
The food and service were both excellent! We had a reservation @ 6 pm, but ended up sitting @ the bar since the table wasn’t ready.
The service is great. Attentive without being intrusive. We had a reservation and were lead to our table right on time. We were offered a nice corner booth perfect for couples. It was our first time there and my wife wanted to sit where we could see the action. It was Saturday night, the place is full and more reservations are arriving by the minute. The hostess went to get the manager and ask him. He came over and without hesitation, had us set at a nice 4 top, back in another corner, overlooking the rest of the place. Really nice gesture. The steaks are very good. The ambiance is eclectic. The dining room was full, but not so loud you couldn't hear each other speak at a normal tone and level.
Fantastic as always!
they were running little bit behind when we checked in at our reserved time. but the gentleman who seemed like the hall manager remedied the delay pretty promptly. superb steak. we had porterhouse for two and some sides
Restaurant with an excellent location. We had to wait ~30 minutes for our table although we made a reservation but once we were seated the service was very good. The first course was OK and the second course (steak) was excellent. The level of noise was too high for my liking but overall it was a nice experience.
We go to Wolfgang's a fair amount because it's located close to shows and the steaks are great. It's loud and crowded so it's not the finest or most elegant dining experience, but for a chophouse it's great.
The food has never disappointed at this or any Wolfgang's. I did however have a problem w/ the hostess team on being able to sit at a table w/ out my third table mate. I checked in on time for a 7PM res and explained that our third table mate had just landed at LGA and would be on his way and join us as soon as he could but I would like to sit, have a drink and food w/out waiting for him. After another 15 minuets of waiting they still were not going to give me a table. At this same time a high top table in the bar area opened up and we jumped on it. When the third person showed up, the bar area quickly moved another table together to make us as comfortable as possible.
One other area of concern was the soup of the day on of our table mates ordered that showed up as the wrong soup since the one we were told they had was for lunch only, something you should surely know by 7:30PM.
The service was a mess and my burger was just OK.
A Birthday Cake was ordered through Open Tables and I asked the hostess upon seating if a Birthday Cake was showing on the reservation and she responded yes.
When the dessert menus came we told the waiter a Birthday Cake had been ordered which resulted in the waiter speaking to the manager who corrected the lack of a Birthday cake with a tray of 5 different deserts with a candle for which we were charged for 3. Every one enjoyed the selection of Deserts.
Suggest you call the Restaurant for special requests.
The food was superb and the service was second to none. Alan the waiter was terrific and I would highly recommend this restaurant
Steaks were amazing!! The service was good, and the noise level wasn’t bad; we were able to have conversation. Overall a good experience.
From our being seating in the area we requested to the super service by the waiter and his assistant we had a wonderful gourmet dining experience. The Birthday Dessert was the perfect conclusion to a great happening dining experience at Wolfgang's-Time Square. Keep up the good work and delicious first-class
food and service. Hope to see you again soon!
Very good Steakhous, the Porterhouse is highly recomended.
Onion rings were not the usual crispy coating. They must have changed recipe.
Went there before seeing a play and their timing was great along with everything we had to eat along with a great bottle of wine.
OpenTable version of the menu needs to be updated. Prices do not reflect current menu.
Always a hit with our family bright and airy space
The wait staff was disinterested and food was served so quickly that we finished our meal within 40minutes of being seated. Our waiter and one of the managers held a long, loud and annoying conversation right next to the table with no respect for our privacy. As a born and bred New Yorker who travels frequently this was one of the worst dining experiences we have had.
Wolfgang's Times Square continues to be our go to restaurant. Its location near the theater district and near parking on the west side makes it a perfect spot. The fact the food is exceptional and the staff extremely accommodating makes our trips to NYC an added highlight. We are big fans of Wolfgang's Times Square.
The food was amazing,
The ambiace was good,
It was noisy inside,
But in the end of that meal i felt like it was the best dinner i ever had
The service was excellent as was the food.
A group of 10 went to Wolfgang’s for a pre-theater meal. The food was wonderful, the service was attentive and all in all it was a terrific experience! We had a variety of different entrees and shared several sides. The sea bass, salmon, lamb chops and several different steaks were all prepared to perfection. We all agreed that we would eat here again!
We always have a great time when we eat here. Food is outstanding! Porterhouse steak and creamed spinach are my favorite! They have a nice selection of wines by the glass. And we especially love seeing Wolfgang at the restaurant, he is a charming host!
Great food, loud, busy service.
I'm not a huge steak lover, but the Porterhouse for 2 was fabulous!
Pre - theater dinner with wife, celebrating anniversary could not of been better ! Very attentive without being overbearing service from Matt, Allen and Zeke, kudos to you all for a standard of excellence beyond reproach. Tony the Manager that night could not have been more accommodating ! Great vodka martini with stuffed olives and Louis Jadot Pouilly Fuisse wine complimented the tuna tartare, ceasar salad, sea bass and yellowfin tuna dinner. Everything was adequately seasoned and prepared to perfection. As I indicated in my reservation, the service staff arrived with a complimentary anniversary tiramisu dessert with fresh whipped cream. We have been fans of all of Wolfgang's establishments and can honestly state that this type of experience is consistent throughout.
Thank you for a lovely evening !!!!!
Food was amazing!
If I wouldn’t choose Wolfgang’s as one of Manhattan’s go-to restaurants if all other things were equal, but I would certainly give it a high priority among places adjacent to Times Square. The lobster salad was OK but not like lobster fresh from the sea in Ogunquit. The crab cake was OK but not like crab dishes from the eastern shore of Maryland. The NY sirloin was OK (and perfectly cooked) but not as good as we get directly from Hoboken Farms in NJ. The one menu item, though, that outshone those we’ve had anywhere else, we’re the LAMB CHOPS. They were the one thing worth a trip even if you’re not going to theater.
Great food, great wine! New York prices, but large portions and very well prepared. A little on the loud side in the restaurant but not unbearable, but not someplace for an intimate dinner date. The staff was wonderful, very attentive but not intrusive. Would go back again!
