   The food was absolutely delicious. Although we arrived early the noise level does get high but we enjoyed our dinner and had great service!

   I recently dined at Wolfgang’s with my 19-year-old son while visiting NYC, wanting him to experience a classic New York steakhouse dinner — something I consider part of the city’s culture. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations, and I will not be returning to any Wolfgang’s location again. Despite having a reservation, we were seated in a back room, away from the main dining hall. When I inquired, the host described it as an “exclusive” area, but it felt more like an afterthought, especially compared to the bustling main room. Perhaps because we were dressed in vacation attire (collared shirts and jackets) instead of business suits like most patrons, we were treated differently from the start. Service was rushed and inattentive. Our appetizers — Caesar salad, thick-cut bacon, and beefsteak tomatoes and onions — were all piled onto one plate without explanation, giving the impression we needed to eat quickly and leave. When our tomahawk steak for two arrived, while the plate was sizzling, the meat itself was lukewarm and shockingly bland. When I asked for salt, the waiter simply pointed to the table salt — a surprising response for a restaurant positioning itself as fine dining. Even basic attention to detail, such as offering kosher or Maldon salt, was absent. Both my son and I barely finished half of our steak, and not once did the staff inquire if something was wrong — a major miss for any restaurant claiming to offer premium service. Overall, the experience felt transactional and dismissive. For the high price point, I expected far better food, service, and hospitality. Having dined at Wolfgang’s in the past, this was profoundly disappointing — especially for what was supposed to be a special first NYC steakhouse experience for my son. As we left, I sarcastically thanked the hostess for our “exclusive” seating — a fitting end to a very underwhelming evening.

   Wolfgang’s on Park and 33rd is hands down one of my favorite spots. I come here regularly and the food is always amazing. The steaks are top-notch, perfectly cooked every time, and the sides are just as good. The service is friendly and professional, and the whole place has a great, classic vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a consistently great steakhouse experience.

   Restaurant was expectedly quiet on a Monday at lunch time. Food is always delicious, but relatively pricey.

   Als Europäer, der sein erstes amerikanisches Steak gegessen hat, war es für mich enttäuschend - vielleicht war meine Erwartungshaltung zu hoch. Der Service war Top und zumeist sehr aufmerksam. Der Geräuschpegel war sehr unangenehm, allerdings kann ich nicht sagen ob das immer so ist. Vielleicht ist es in Amerika üblich, sich während des Essens anzuschreien. Zum Essen: Die Sides waren Top, der Kellner hatte uns auch gleich darauf hingewiesen, dass die Portionen sehr groß sind. Ich hatte ein (sehr großes) RibEye medium/rare. Die Garstufe war mir etwas zu medium. Das Fleisch war gut abgehangen, allerdings geschmacklich leider keine Offenbarung.

   The services was good but the meat was not good enough ( burned taste outside part of the meat). The dessert was served careless … very expensive restaurant. I don’t think that it restaurant is Michellin star. Michelin restaurant is meaning the perfect food, service and atmosphere.

   Best steak in nyc and maybe best steak on earth. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

    I have been to Wolfgangs in years.. it was amazing.. bacon was a tad salty. But the steak was incredible.. so much better than I remembered and the sides were delicious. Service was good , until 6:00 pm and then once 6:00 pm came was right on point .. will definitely be returning
