Wolfgang's Steak House - 54th Street
Food was excellent..mever had a bad meal at any if their restaurants
Good spot, good food not to expensive.
Dinner was perfect. Great service and Wolfgang himself came over to our table to greet and have a chat, Nice seeing you and reminiscing about your days serving the "Schlagg" lol. Porterhouse for 2 was excellent... a 10 and ranked as one of the best steaks I've ever had, Shrimp cocktail and Colossal crabmeat cocktail to start were just perfection. Streak fries topped off a perfect dinner. Bravo Wolfgangs
It’s not much to say but I love it everything mainly the food and service!
Food was excellent as always but I found waiter service and attentiveness somewhat lacking. For the tip that is mandatory, I felt the waiters did not deserve it.
One of the best traditional steakhouse menu -well prepared very professional served and enormous portions
A pleasure, good value.
Sat right away, service was perfect. Food was delicious!
The food and service was excellent! The large table of loud tourists in t-shirts and baseball hats at the next table detracted from the experience, but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Everything was amazing, from the food to service. I highly recommend
A terrific dinner, delicious food in a peaceful setting. Felt like we slipped out of the hustle and bustle on NYC. Wonderful service. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend the apple strudel to end the meal!
I've been to a lot of steakhouses in NY, and this is by far my favorite. Their porterhouse is consistently perfect every time I go, and beats even Peter Luger. That alone would keep me coming back, but everything else I've ordered off their menu has been equally high quality too.
The food was delicious, and the ambiance and service was great. The only thing it was a little pricey for two people, much pricier than any other famous steak house I’ve been to.
Can’t recommend this place enough. The best steak, service and manager (Pete). Perfect combination but so hard to find even in New York City. Be back soon.
We love all of the Wolfgang’s restaurants in NYC. It’s a pleasure to eat and drink there. We feel relaxed and comfortable.
The meal was excellent. My one complaint is that you removed the NY Strip steak from the menu, and our portions were too big to finish. Also, it would be helpful to offer a petite filet mignon for those who prefer less meat and more vegetables in their diet
Service , food and drinks were fantastic!!
Wolfgang came to our table to say hello and make sure all was ok!
The steak is the Best!!!
Never disappointed. Great service and food are always provided here. Best rib eye in nyc. Be back soon
I have ordered a Ribeye medium and I have been served an over cooked steak
I have shared with the waiter in a very polite way if something had maybe gone wrong with my order and he replied to me that everything I had been provided with was absolutely fine.
He told that he was going to send the guy from the kitchen to me but nobody showed up till I was presented the bill which I have paid in full without any further comment and I have included a fair tip as well to make sure my sincere complaint was not absolute an excuse related to the payable amount.
That’s not really the type of service you expect from this type of restaurants.
Very sorry for such a bad experience
The food was consistently excellent and fairly priced for the excellent quality, but the waitstaff was mostly too busy talking to one another in a huddle to notice us or ask on any consistent basis if we needed anything. There was a delay until someone approached to ask us for our drink order, only approaching after we waved to signal someone. The same repeated for us to get their attention to order our apps and meal. Once the food arrived, the team served impeccably, but keep your waving hand handy and avoid this place if you're on a tight time deadline. Otherwise, the food is great and a gem that is less hectic or crowded than most other NY steakhouses.
Pete runs the best Wolfgang’s in nyc with best food and service. The food is always great as is the service at this NYC gem. Be back very soon.
The food was excellent. We were 8 for a birthday dinner and were at a table opposite the kitchen entrance. That was a negative. The other negative was the level of noise around us. It hindered cross the table conversation for us.
Always great steak and service at this location specifically. Pete, the manager is the best. I would dare to say that the best ribeye steak in nyc is served here. Will be back again very soon.
The steak was terrible, took one bite and my boyfriend and I had to leave immediately had a stomach ache for the rest of the night. Never again
60th bday celebration! Excellent food. Wonderful service!
My steak was over cooked. My dad’s was undercooked. Decent but nothing great.
We were meeting up with family who live in NYC- Wolfgang’s food and service consistently superior. As we were having family time the waiter did not rush us and was parent as we lingered through courses. They make a superb martini and wine list had wide range of choices ranging from good value to pricey. We enjoyed a Stags Leap petit Syrah which was wonderful. For apps we shared oysters, clams, crab cocktail and lobster cocktail which were gobbled up. We shared a porterhouse for four and there was plenty for our son to take home. One of our group had the lamb and it was delicious. Fir sides you cannot go wrong with the German potatoes, creamed spinach and mushrooms. The onion rings were a hit too.
We splurged on desserts and the tartufo and hot fudge sundae were shared.
Is a fav spot when in NYC as tables allow you space to chat and catch up. Very lively bar scene as well.
The food was great.
I loved the experience!!!
The restaurant has an older feel, which was added to by the fact that they were playing what sounded like 80s music. Rather than detracting, however, it felt like it contributed to the whole experience. My party of 3 ordered the porterhouse for 2, a side of German potatoes (crispy), and the mixed greens salad. I knew my mother and aunt eat smaller portions, and that the steak for 2 would be enough. The food was delicious and more than enough; I thought the potatoes were a bit salty, but my family thought they were perfect, and surprisingly I found myself wishing there was more salad. I had been to Peter Luger in 2017, and this was definitely just as good, with the added benefit of having convenient locations and the ability to pay by card. I would eat here again if I wanted to treat someone.
The waiters were rude and the steaks weren’t as good as usual.
They weren’t very flavorful this time.
Excellent steak and good ambiance. But I have my doubts about their service.
Very good every things
Great steaks, great service, special quiet table was requested and given.
Everything was top notch. Love this place, we always come back!
If you want a great and perfectly prepared steak, this is the place for you. Always top professional service. Top five steakhouse in NYC.
Usually, my experience at Wolfgangs is very good, however, this time the food was severely lacking. Most noticeably, the porterhouse was far below its typical standard - very "gristly" and undercooked on the strip side / burned on the filet side.
Great atmosphere, great wine! Had a fabulous night out with friends!!
Food was excellent. Service was very attentive. Prices are consistent w high end steak house. Will return.
Prefect for a business dinner
