Chef owned and operated. Steak was good to perfection. Lamb medallions were similar cooked to a perfect medium. Amazing extensive wine list. Good service - not overly attentive, but there when needed. Suprisingly priced - compared to comporable restaurants in big cities.
Wolfgang’s was nothing short of accommodating. Our waiter was excellent. The seating hostess was very social and made us feel welcome. We ordered the strip steak and the shrimp special with risotto (YUM!). They even made me a “mocktail” as I’m expecting. And they were more than willing to allow us to take dessert to-go. We will be back!
I’m in the high tech space and own several restaurants around the country. Lousy operation. Rude servers and nothing more then a franchise operation. Much better restaurants in Highlands on Main Street don’t waist your time and money with this mediocre establishment.
My wife and I visited Wolfgangs for the first time tonight. The food was excellent in every respect, from the salad, entree then dessert. The environment was quite cozy and romantic. The staff was extremely pleasant. The prices are reasonable given the 5 star quality of the food. This is our new "go to" for any overnight trip to Highlands. There is at least one fireplace. We were lucky enough to be seated near it. Just know that when making a reservation if that appeals to you. I would make a reservation online as it's difficult to get in without one. We wanted to go somewhere nice and honestly most restaurants of this quality are quite stuffy with a risk of rude staff. Not so with Wolfgangs.
Exceptional service from the moment we arrived. Our daughter had set up surprise wine & appetizers to celebrate my 66th birthday. The Venison is the absolute finest. If you have been reluctant or have not visited Wolfgang’s, you are missing the best restaurant in Highlands!
We visit Highlands once or twice a year and Wolfgang’s is one of our favorite restaurants . We spent Thanksgiving week in Highlands and had Thanksgiving lunch at Wolfgang’s! My husband had the roast and I had the shrimp and grits and BOTH were delicious. We did not miss turkey and dressing at all! Thank you Wolfgang’s restaurant and stafff!
I had the short ribs and my husband had the veal schnitzle. Both were delicious. My husband and I agreed that it was the best schnitzle we had ever had. We had cocktails prior to dinner, so decided to go with the half bottle of Elizabeth Spencer Cabernet, and it was excellent. The hostess seated us by the window so it was a great view with the twinkling lights that were hung outside. They did not have the fire going in the fireplace in our dining room, but I did see that the fire was lit in the other dining room. Warning, take your coat if you are going to the restrooms as you do have to walk outdoors to get to them if you are in the front dining room.
My wife and I really liked this restaurant. Warm and cozy on a cold night! Food was very good,however, lacked any gluten free menu options. Our server bent over backwards to try and help but the chef didn't seem to share her enthusiasm. The night before, the restaurant next door really went out of their way to help us. Too bad
My husband and I celebrated our 27th anniversary at Wolfgangs’s! We dine there quite often because the food is delicious and the ambiance is so wonderful. We sat by one of the fireplaces, so cozy, and the waiters were very attentive. The food, as usual, was excellent!
l really enjoyed the beef short ribs with collards and mashed potatoes. Great comfort food. We love sitting in the Bistro or either outdoors to people watch. The owner always comes around to make sure you are being taken care of. Wolfgang's is one our top 2 restaurants in Highlands.
Food was great! We were expecting a crowd so made reservations but it did not appear to be crowded as we were 1 of 3 tables on the outside porch. My only complaint is that the service felt very rushed. We got the feeling that they were trying to get us out of there, even though our reservation was for 7:45. I’d go back for the food, but might go earlier on the evening!
Great service from waiter, Justin! Small rib with collards were to die for! My husband had the Red Snapper with rice and veggies! So good!! We even had a dessert, strawberry romanoff, yum... sooo good and refreshing!
We will definitely go back and we HIGHLY recommend Wolfgang!
We have been to Wolfgang many many times and I think this was probably the best as far as the service goes. Our waitress Debbie did a little wine tasting for us which was great my 91 year-old mother appreciated it. She was very attentive and awesome waitress. We were there at 6 so early dinner and the food was very good. Their wine choices were very good. We will go back for sure. My sister had the short ribs which was very tasty but a little tough. I had the crab cake and shrimp which was pretty good and a salad nothing really exciting but the food is always consistently good.
We have lived about 45 minutes from Highlands for many years. For some reason we had never tried wolfgang's. What a mistake not to try it. The food was better than I could have imagined.
We had lamb, venison, shrimp and crab cakes. The restaurant had a great wine selection. The salads were good. The lobster bisque was wonderful. It was a long ride, but worth it.

Wonderful food. The sommelier is the best. She is so knowledgeable about the wines. You can never go wrong with her recommendation. She is a lovely woman as well with a great personality. Our waiter Justin was very attentive. We had a marvelous time. This should be one of your go to restaurants in Highlands.
Come here every year from chicago for my mother in laws birthday. We are never disappointed. the reason I gave it 4 stars overall rather that 5 is that I was charged $17 dollars for a Bulleit rye manhattan and $14 for a crown royal manhattan. took some fun out of the experience since to me that is a gouge (pretty normal prices in Chicago but expected more value) In any event food was great, service great and a good time had by all. We will be back.
We have vacationed in Cashiers for years, and walked by Wolfgangs many a time during the day saying we wanted to go there. And this time, we stayed in Highlands so we went for a pre-play dinner on Friday night and then returned on Saturday night for a nibble and drink at the bar. It was delicious. I always thought it was this little restaurant, but it is deceiving as it goes back behind the one building to a porch-like seating area, and then to another closed in dining room. Our waiter, Ivan, was super kind and helpful and attentive. Our food was delicious- we had the portobello appetizer, I had the shrimp risotto special and my husband has a meat trio plate- all were YUMMY! And our experience t the bar was absolutely delightful as well-
Another couple visiting us in Highlands joined us at Wolfgangs for dinner last Monday evening. Though the restaurant was quite busy our server gave us the attention that made us feel as though we were the only table she had. Friendly personal service but not hovering over us is the norm for Wolfgangs. I chose the shrimp & lobster bisque which was delicious. The other couple both had the Seasonal Greens Gorgonzola Walnut Salad and my wife had the Caesar salad. You can have the Caesar's Romaine either grilled or chilled. I decided on the Short Rib for my main course and unless you haven't eaten in a week, only get one. It was wonderful and so much food it was hard to finish. My wife loved the trout. Our friends both had the crab cake with a side of shrimp. They said it was as good as those in Baltimore. Be sure to eat at least once at Wolfgangs during your visit to Highlands.
