All was good, just had the worst table in the place, that was disappointing given that there were many empty tables...Not sure why we were seated where we were, Hostess seemed on a mission
Standouts include linguini and risotto appetizers and cocktails.
Server was not very attentive on my wine issues. They were sold out of both half and full bottles of Sancerre.
Yet the four seasons bar was serving it by the glass. Not very much assistance in selecting alternates. I expect better from spagos especially when it is located in the four seasons.
Amazing experience, other then the wind, which is beyond the control of the restaurant.
Amazing apps and cocktails. Service was top notch and the view was beautiful!!
The chef was truly inspired by the islands and the local ingredients to and create one of the most unbelievable tasting menus I have ever had on top of that our waiter and the sommelier worked together to pair fantastic wines with our meal. We can't wait to go back and can't thank the chef and staff enough for such a memorable evening!
Last night in Maui
Jeb was our waiter! EXCELLENT!!!!
Dining at Spago in the Four Seasons Maui Resort is truly a delight! The views, food, and service are unparalleled. The attentive, efficient staff work together to provide exemplary service.
Absolutely phenomenal! The team created a seven course tasting menu with wine pairings that blew all of our minds
Thanks Chef and Jeb!
Wonderful friendly service. Wagyu beef was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back!
We have been here before and had a good meal we went back for our anniversary and were given a table overlooking the adult pool deck full of chairs the room was zero atmosphere more like a cafeteria ,the food was less than average , so it was a night to forget!, it would not be good even if it was half the price. For this resort it is definitely their “thorn in the crown “ Mr Puck needs to get this place in shape or hand it to someone who can elevate it to the four seasons resort standard.it should be .
Love this place!
Amazing food. Service mediocre to poor at best and significantly inappropriate for fine dining. Applebee’s is more attentive, friendly, and observant. Waited the entire meal for an offer to refill drinks. About 45 minutes after they were empty. Disappointing. Waiter seemed disinterested and unaware. Sat with empty plates for over 15 minutes. Manager was apologetic but seemed surprised at the feedback. Can’t be the first time they were held to a higher standard.
The quality of the food was phenomenal, every bite was tasty and well balance. Service on point but not over done. Oh and don’t let me get started on dessert, there’s one for every palate. My favorites the Ahi cones, chicken, baked Haleakala, lilikoi cheesecake, head first martini. Enjoy!!
We loved this restaurant in Wailea. Service was attentive. Food was delicious. It was our honeymoon and they brought us a special dessert at the end. We shared a delicious Hawaiian Crab Cake was a starter :)
Excellent food and Jeb was a fantastic waiter
saw lots of male ones and female helpers (i think)... could be wrong. hope so!
Food was declicious. However service felt rushed. Cocktails had just arrived and our appetizers very soon after. We had planned to order a bottle of wine but didn't get a chance to as our main meals arrived quickly. Waiter was nice but it felt like he was reciting off a script. Not our best experience at Spago.
Only complaint is bar was very slow, took 30 min for my cocktail to arrive, the second one took 15. The view was perfect and the food was amazing. We had the curry dish, the onaga fish and shiitake mushroom side, all delicious. The setting is spectacular. We will be back.
We just had a late dessert, but it was excellent. Service was fine, but a bit impersonal. Staff seemed preoccupied.
A couple of celebrity sightings were fun.
Amazing ocean view. Excellent service and food. This is one of must go restaurants every time we are here in Maui.
Our first-ever visit to Spago'S I have been on-island in Wailea for 20 years! Took my friends visiting from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Everything we ordered was spectacular. It was spectacular. Our waiter was extremely professional and helpful.
Wonderful dinner outside on the patio at sunset. Amazing appetizers like the Poke comes and butterfish. We especially liked the Onaga and Swordfish entrees. Service was very attentive and wine was excellent. Little pricey but worth it for a great meal
Onaga, Hawaiian Snapper, steamed in leaves was the special fish of the day. I asked for it to be sauteed and the waiter suggested a preperation on the menu for Swordfish. It was incredible. The fish was perfectly prepared, moist on the inside with crispy skin. I eat Hawaiian fish often - and for years - this was the best by far. Even outdid my favorite Opokapaka. My wife had Mahi Mahi, which was quite good - but we both agreed the Onago was superior. We had a drink at the bar first and the bartender made me a special drink from a recipe I had on my phone. Very accomodating and it was perfect. We were full, but forced ourselves to enjoy a very good Chocolate Soufle for desert. All in all - a wonderful evening.
After a few underwhelming experiences with Spago, our most recent visit was outstanding
The food, nine course tasting menu, and wine pairings, was unusually good. And, while skeptical of wine pairings generally, these were very well matched
The service was likewise MUCH improved. Host, food runners, bus people and particularly our waiter, were the right balance of professional, courteous and friendly
A great night.
Perfect place to celebrate my birthday yet again. Always my first choice and never disappoints. The roasted mahi mahi was wonderful and the sesame poke cones are my favorite appetizer. Hope they stay on the menu forever.
great food and service in a spectacular setting and my favorite in Maui for over 15 years along with Momma's .
GREAT VIEW AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE. FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL BUT SERVER WAS A LITTLE DISTRACTED AND ALOOF. YOU WOULD EXPECT BETTER SERVER FROM A RESTAURANT OF THIS QUALITY
the staff coped very effectively with seating problems caused weather
Kaiser Schmarren is the greatest desert ever
Ok, not fantastic
The food was very good and the Japanese beef excellent. The service was good and would be excellent if a bit more attention was paid to the individual diners at each table.
The view was beautiful and the overall experience very good.
My husband and I went to celebrate a special occasion. The service was excellent--everyone knew why we were there and were super accomodating and friendly. The crab cakes and cheesecake were wonderful. The entrées were okay, I wouldn't order them again. We had a very nice view of the sunset and even though it was busy, we didn't feel cramped and had our own little corner.
Great wines great food, service could be better. Forgot our one appetizer and their jasmine rice came in as plain sticky rice. Rather than that great experience
Service was Terible. We’ve eaten here several tunes but this night was a disaster. 15 minutes after sitting for water and 35 minutes before getting a glass of wine! Manager was apologetic, offered my first glass of wine free, poured me 2 ounces and I paid $27 for both that pour and my second glass. Excuse - they were busy - was bull! Ever again!
Very disappointing. Food was good, but not outstanding. Hostess and waiters had an attitude. Wine list was ridiculously overpriced for less-than-average wines. There are much better options on Maui.
Excellent experience. Food was better than expected. Service was quite good although a bit formal and standoffish
Excellent service, attention to detail, server's recommendations were on point, and the food was totally worth it.
