Wolfgang Puck's Spago in the Four Seasons Resort Maui Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant is outstanding!! From the drinks and apps to the entree everything was phenomenal and wish I could repeat our meal again. The service was fantastic as well. The waitstaff was very attentive and the food runners were very friendly as well. Definitely put this restaurant on your list before you leave Maui, you won’t regret it!
This was our second time to dine at Spago's! It is so delicious and what a place to watch the sunset. The ahi cones appetizer is heavenly. Both of our meals were excellent also. If you have a special occasion or just want to have an excellent dining experience, go to Spago's! You won't regret it!
We enjoyed the outstanding taste of the food! Everything we ordered was so delicious! The service was very good, they helped us to make the right decision in choosing the menu and asked several times if everything is good.
We definitely will come back and can only recommend this restaurant.
We ate at Spago's at Four Seasons Maui twice during our stay. The first night was fantastic in all regards. The 2nd time was quite disappointing. It was a very windy evening and there were few tables that were out of the wind - perhaps the restaurant could have done more to close off the windows but chose not to. We ended up near the bar which played 70's music and was quite distracting to our intended romantic dinner. Food was OK, not as good as the first night, but our server was indifferent at best... quite robotic ... not personable or engaging at all.
My husband and I went for our anniversary. We arrived early for cocktails and we were SO glad we did. Their handcrafted cocktails are delicious pieces of art, and our visit was worth it for this alone. 10 out of 10 for the bar experience - we will definitely be sure to go back!
Unfortunately, that was the best part of our experience. The view is phenomenal, The food was good, albeit overpriced (as is the case with most nice restaurants on Maui.) But the service was lacking and inattentive. We were largely ignored, had to ask for bread more than once, were left without drinks/water more than once. (This wasn’t factored into my review, but I thought the 70’s rock music playing fairly loudly in the background was an odd choice...more appropriate for a sports bar than a restaurant of this caliber.)
The hostess mentioned how busy they are between 6:15-8:00pm so perhaps the best service is for those who dine before/after. That would be my recommendation if you go... That and DO sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail whether ir not you stay for dinner (try the lillikoi/St. Germain cocktail! - I think it was called “Head Over Heels”)
Exceptional service! Was our wedding anniversary and the entire staff made a point of noting the event. Waiter, David was very helpful and attentive without interrupting. Kitchen modified a couple of recipes to accommodate the need for a gluten-free meal. My wife's Aviation cocktail was the best she's had. I especially enjoyed the Lobster-crashed Ono and the Hamachi appetizer. Steamed Mahi Mahi was ok.
We are coming back.
We are celebrating our 54th wedding anniversary and have come here for many years to do so! It is the most elegant, most special of places to dine on the island of Maui!!! Our dinner was amazingly delicious! The sunset was the most spectacular we have ever seen! The service was above and beyond! Thank you to all who make Spago The Best there is!
Our server was terrible. She was more interested in the larger tables than our table of two. I was absolutely shocked with the whole experience. I don't think I've ever left a negative review like this on Open Table in all the years I've used it.
We had the absolute best experience ever. David took care of us so well and knew the menu better than the back of his hand. All of his recommendations were spot on and the food was so delicious. There is a reason Wolfgang Puck is so well known and we had the pleasure of experiencing that reputation at Spago.
I have never written a negative review, and this is a first, but this experience was so unpleasant. It started with a hostess that was not only unfriendly and unwelcoming, but she also made us feel like we were bothering her when we showed up for our reservation. I had asked for a table out front near the ocean and reminded her that was a request that I made on my reservation. She seated us outside on the side without acknowledging and frankly ignoring my request with no comment or explanation. My wife is a vegetarian, and after looking at Spago’s printed vegetarian menu at the concierge desk earlier that day, we were excited about the vegetarian options on the menu. When our server came to our table with menus, we asked to see the vegetarian menu, after he scoffed, he said that they don’t have a printed vegetarian menu. I asked about the vegetarian options, and with that, he proceeded to tell us about their seafood specials basically ignoring my request. I asked again, and he gave a rushed overview of what they could make. He was just impatient and was ignoring any details to make the dining experience pleasant. It was just so confusing, we got up and left and went to Ferraro’s and had an incredibly enjoying and friendly dinner. I will never go back to Spago.
Spagos has lovely outdoor dining. The service was top notch and server very informed on dishes.
It was the best curry I have ever had.
Wine list is really too expensive though. No need to charge those prices. Other high end restaurants and wine listed at less.
Overall we had the best table on the corner overlooking the ocean. The appetizers were very good but very pricey. We had six people and all six ordered the RibEye as expected to see more variety in the dishes, especially fish. Expect to average over $100 per person especially if you order wine. Was worth the view but the Rib Eyes were just normal as if you went to a decent steak house
Visiting Maui for our wedding anniversary, and had a wonderful meal at Spago in the Four Seasons. Sat outside, overlooking the water as the sunset approached. Service is impeccable, and the food is very, very good. The wine list is a bit over the top, but the management is catering to those that normally frequent Spago and I'm sure they have great success. Overall, a wonderful experience and we'd recommend it to anyone celebrating a special occasion.
The food here is absolutely incredible! Every time we are in Maui I make sure we go there. The service is usually spectacular. On this particular night however it started raining a little while we were eating so we got moved indoors. However once we were moved in doors it was as if they forgot about us. We had to keep asking for things multiple times because they would say they are bringing ice water and then 15 minutes later we still had none. I'm assuming this was just a fluke and I will definitely keep coming back because it's just that good!
