Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill - Summerlin Ratings and Reviews
First time doing Thanksgiving at any restaurant. We'd eaten at this restaurant before and felt it would be a good experience. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would visit again on a normal day. There were several issues that made our first thanksgiving out a bad one that we won't likely repeat.
We booked 2 weeks before and had to choose a later time than we desired. At noon, they called to tell me they moved our reservation to a time 1 and 1/2 hours earlier, as they would be closing at 6pm. This threw off our day completely. Why accept a reservation if you will not be open?
I also gave a generous 3 stars for service, which was warm and friendly but we had several problems that negatively affected our meal. Not showstopper but simple things that shouldn't happen.
Finally, salting was a major issue. The dark meat on the Turkey plate was inedible, while the white meat was delicious. The hamburger was also overly salted.
The positive was that wine was 50% off all bottles. Yay!
Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill has exemplary service and food. The brunch is nice and it is one of our favorite places for brunch. We also ate there on Thanksgiving and the food was delicious. My mother ordered salmon and I never really liked salmon until I tasted the one at Wolfgang Puck. It was tasty and not at all fishy. I think that I ate almost all of her salmon :) We also ordered the Thanksgiving Special and we loved the mashed potatoes and turkey (although we enjoyed the white meat better than their dark meat). The fish and chips are good too and the service is amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant -- FIVE STARS! from luvs2seeUeat
Probably would not recommend at all. My the fish in fish and chips was mushy, the Sauvignon Blanc I ordered was tasteless ( I tried all on the Wine List), I tried the Pinot Grigio a friend ordered and that was not good either. Finally settled on an unoaked Chardonnay.
We were to celebrate my 75th birthday, a milestone from my perspective. I never mentioned this in my reservation or while we were there. The saving grace of this dining experience was our server, Regina. She wowed my tablemates and me with her extensive knowledge of the menu and was so patient with me while trying to find a wine I liked. Kudos to her! Her overall serving skills were evident from the beginning to the end of our lunch. Thank you, Regina! Because of your wonderful service, I may give the restaurant a second try.
The Cheeseburger was fantastic!!!!! It is definitely not your run of the mill burger. This one is full of flavor and is fitting as an entree alongside fancier food. The ranch fries were delicious but be sure to request the special burger sauce to dip them into!
The evening was lovely. Great service!
We dine here several times per week. The menu is so varied that I literally could eat here every night. On this occasion, there were five of us with two who were new to WP and one who had dined here when it first opened, with a less than positive opinion. I am happy to report that all three have become fans. The Wienerschnitzel was devoured with obvious pleasure, the Brick Chicken was delicious, and the Seafood Linguini was dubbed a success, along with the lightest fried calamari starter and the potato chips with bleu cheese. My hangar steak with Parmesan fries was perfectly prepared and flavorful. It was a great evening of fun, good conversation and delicious and well presented cuisine. WP is definitely our go to dining spot.
Our dinner was delicious and well-prepared, especially the calamari appetizer. It is the best that I have ever had, the batter being very light. Other dishes included the meatballs, Chicken Parmigiana, Seafood linguine, the Wienerschnitzel, and the hangar steak with grilled corn. Dessert was the Chocolate Molten Cake. Everything was delicious. The only letdown was service. While it started off well enough, it fell off once dinner was served (not clearing dirty plates, providing silverware, and not knowing who ordered what). It wasn’t even busy at the time. Service is usually outstanding, so this will not prevent us from returning.
What does it say when you dine at the same place three times in one week? That it is a great spot for ambience, good food, and attentive service. I particularly enjoyed some of the Oktoberfest specials, including the meat and cheese platter and the Wienerschnitzel, washed down with distinctive ales. My husband enjoyed the Seafood Linguini featuring a variety of ingredients in a garlicky sauce and declared it to be outstanding and satisfying. We really enjoy the stylish decor and beautiful presentation of the food. No wonder we frequent this restaurant so often. It has it all without being stuffy.
Our server was awesome the food was great. But really we had a female server and she was really awesome. I wish I could remember her name but when I go back I’ll get it and update the review. Food was awesome. Wiener schnitzel was the bomb. So was the goulash
Ed - waiter very attentive.
Truffle chips were not as crisp as in the past and a little on the cool soggy side.
The two orders of steamed mussels slightly overcooked.
Must have had a different chef that night as we usually enjoy our meals thoroughly.
The third person at the table enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs.
This was a perfect venue for a relaxed long lunch catching up with a friend. The pace of service was good for the occasion. The open faced roast beef sandwich was perfect to share along with a small pizza. The food, ambience and service are reliable at Wolfgang Puck's. I also appreciated that staff takes the time to get to know you.
The casual atmosphere was good overall, but in a 75% empty restaurant they seated us right behind the hostess stand next to the family with 3 noisy kids. Not great when I'd explicitly requested a quiet table for a first date. The hostess didn't want to reseat us even after we voiced our displeasure. The food was good and we enjoyed much of the experience but this first interaction set us on a bad initial note from which the rest of the night never really recovered. The next day, I got a message saying I'd not shown up for my reservation per the restaurant. With thousands of good choices in Las Vegas for dinner, I'll likely not go back here again.
The overall experience was excellent. The hostess greeted us and seated us promptly. Our server was very attentive and provided great service. My father in-law had a salad, my husband enjoyed the pizza, I had a pasta dish, we also shared a big eye tuna appetizer and a lemon blueberry dessert, everything was amazing. Very pleased with both service and our meals.
It is such a pleasure to dine where you are recognized and genuinely welcomed. The servers and staff here are warm and responsive, and have a sense of knowing your needs. On top of that, the atmosphere is relaxing, casual but nice. I dine here frequently, but finally got around to trying the Brick Chicken. I am hooked! Savory, juicy and by the way does not blow the diet!
We will not be returning until the wait staff is allowed to request parents to seat their children and make them behave. While there, there was a table of six children and six adults. The children were allowed to run all over the restaurant getting in the way of wait staff and endangering themselves and the customers. They had made paper airplanes out of their placemats and were throwing them everywhere. When I asked the waitress if they were allowed to say something, she said they were not. So congratulations! Soon the only customers you will have are negligent parents and their ill behaved children.
We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch so much! The choices were excellent and prepared with skill. We started with the Monkey Bread which was delicious and not overly sweet. Then, we each had the egg white vegetable omelet with a side of rosemary roasted potatoes. We also enjoyed the Bottomless Mimosas, which were plentiful! I never had to ask for a refill. Our server was attentive, making for a lovely and relaxing experience. This was SO much better than going to an overpriced and mediocre buffet. Our food was freshly prepared and served. Nice!
