An absolutely beautiful and serene setting. Food and service was exceptional. They didn’t have risotto on the menu which I was craving. I was told the chef would prepare any risotto I wanted! We all shared the mushroom risotto and it was superb.
My latest visit here simply comfirmed the excellent dining experience I have here. We enjoyed another special occassion at Wolfgang Puck Bel Air. Always a pleasure.
I have been to the Bel Air many times and normally am pleased with the service and food. This time was different. The service was poor and the food was disappointing. We expected better.
Really enjoyed the ambiance. Didn’t feel like we were in the middle of LA. Food tasted good and service was friendly albeit a bit slow. But we had a leisurely breakfast so we didn’t mind. Plan to return very soon.
Loved our ladies lunch at a center alcove table. Great service from hostess to waiter to manager. Delicious food. Discovered a new favorite champagne from their list. Popular reality TV star spotted at alcove next to us. The swans were lovely, too.
One of the most special places in Los Angeles. If you’re looking for a romantic evening it can’t be beat. Atmosphere, service and food are perfect. Go early, grab a drink at the bar and take it with you as you walk around the grounds before dinner. Don’t miss the swans!
For some reason the food delivery was extremely slow. Have never experienced this before - waited an 1/2 between courses - several patrons complained.
I invited a guest for a business lunch. The servers just weren't paying attention or very attentive. They brought the incorrect order twice. Not up to usual standards.
By far one of the best dining experiences in Los Angeles. We produce video and marketing materials for restaurants around the world, so trust me when I say that the food was spot-on, the service was attentive and unobtrusive, and the overall experience was very memorable.
very disappointing. I had been waiting for a special reason to go to the BelAir for the last year. A foodie friend wanted to try a few specific places, but I recommended the BelAir. Big Mistake! No intimacy at all. It was quiet, but that was because no one was there. Brightly lit with high ceilings, it is also the type of restaurant that has an over abundance of waiters standing around patiently to help someone, but disappear the moment they are needed. I was expecting high prices having been a regular at Spago for over 20 years, but this bill surprised me. The quality of the food and service compared to the prices is extremely objectionable. I found better lamb chops at Denny's and Olive Garden. And $52.00 for a plate of corn pasta was absurd. Not sure what happened here Wolfgang, but this place needs a redo all the way around.
Hotel is beautiful
Food was soso
Wonderful food in a beautiful spot! Highly recommend!
Perfect for foodies. Never disappointed. Recommend the tomato salad and halibut.
The service made the special night even more so. It was such a relief to eat in a pkace where we could hear each other speak. The gsrdens are inspiring-you really feel you’ve stepped out of LA fir a bit...and can revel in the serenity. The lamb was outstanding. The Loup de Mer good but not great. Every bit as nice as the last time I was there.
The bar and Wolfgang Puck Restaurant at the Hôtel Bel Air create the perfect ambiance whether celebrating a special day or meeting someone for a first date. The good, service and environment come together and leave everyone in a great mood. Each dish is carefully crafted if very high priced (6 oysters are $28; a glass of Sancerre is over $20). I save the Bel Air for spécial evenings
Great food, outstanding service, will definitely be back.
The amuse bouche of gazpacho was really nice, one of the best i’ve ever had. The bread basket was delightful - warm, soft butter and salt and was a welcome beginning to the meal. The rose mocktail was divine! – the smell of fragrance with every sip, the aroma and taste all were sublime and wonderful.
The air pocket salmon/caviar bite was interesting. the oxtail bouillon soup was excellent, as was the ravioli and the arctic char. We both had the short rib goulash, as the weinerschnitzel is on the regular menu. It was superbly rich and flavorful. This would be great to add to the regular menu. The kaiserschmarnn dessert was a nice ending, as it wasn’t too big or too sweet.
It was a nice touch that both managers came by to ask how our meal was and how we were doing.
One comment I have to make is that the wine flight, while good, featured a white wine for the entree, where a red would probably have been better - in fact we ordered an extra glass for just that reason. Maybe the white was intended for the weinerschnitzel?
Absolutely lives up to the hype (and price), amazing staff as well.
My partner and i tried the Dine LA special dinner menu. While the amount of food was generous, the first courses were not as good as expected. Main dishes were much better, though less in quantity than the first course selections. Waitstaff were exceptionally attentive. Our mistake was adding the beer-wine pairing, with one beer and two small glasses of white wine. With so many dishes, we were expecting a true pairing with each different dish. All in all, an interesting evening, but not as outstanding as we'd hoped especially for the price. To end the evening, the valet service fee was another expensive addition!
We've been going to the Bel-Air Hotel for years in fact we got married there 24 years ago. So we're not "newbies" and they've made changes over the years and some of the changes they made years ago I didn't like but I really like it now. It's more like it was when we first started going there. So we're back in love with the Hotel Bel-Air!
Top notch service, wonderful ambiance and excellent food. The brunch 3 course menu has several options to satisfy palate. The first course fruit, crisp vegetables and crab cakes are nice and light. The second, and main course, ranges from breakfast to dinner dishes (steak, fish, etc.). Great for groups or couples.
Came for the DineLA but not everyone wanted to try it, so had to order from regular menu.
Food was great service was good and it was a lovely evening eating outdoors.
I have always loved going to Hotel Bel Air. Took a Client to celebrate the sale of his house, for drinks in the hotel bar and then for dinner.
Drinks in the bar were lovely, lively and enjoyable.
Since the Patio outside was so quiet, we decided to dine in the bar area.
The Halibut was so overcooked, we had to send it back and were told that to fire a new one would take 45 minutes! (No wonder that it was overcooked). So, ordered a Club Sandwich.
After 45 minutes, when the entire party had finished, I cancelled my Club Sandwich, and it amazingly appeared. Had it wrapped to go. Dissapointing.
Stellar food, service and ambiance. We had the inside dining room to ourselves with extremely attentive wait staff attending to our every need. We can't wait to go back.
Our server, Julian, made the evening special. His service was exceptional and enhanced the entire experience. Thanks Julian!
The ambiance is too casual which loses the sophistication expected for a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. The Thai salad was exceptionally flavorful and service was great.
Awesome restaurant. Two thumbs up.
beautiful setting with delicious food and impeccable service. will go back.
Everything was perfect for our 29th anniversary! Love the Hotel Bel Air!
We definitely come again 👍🏼Great restaurant, nice people
Perfection from the moment I arrived. Warm welcome, warm and polished server who had great pride in the offerings , great food. Consistently among the top restaurants in Los Angeles.
One of the best dining experiences we have ever enjoyed. Splendid atmosphere, great food, and outstanding service from Christian and Julian!
Wonderful dining experience and Mark the waiter was personable and very accommodating, thank you.
Wife’s Birthday and we were treated wonderfully
This was a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and we couldn't have been more pleased. We shared the soft shell crab, the lobster pasta and the "butcher's butter" cut of prime beef with roasted marrow and Armagnac sauce (which our waiter, Christian, told us was the best dish on the menu). Every dish was beautifully prepared and delicious (that prime cut beef was sensational!). We followed it up with a wonderful chocolate souffle. Corkage fee was $45 but the wine mark-up is quite high, so we were glad we brought our own. Christian's service was spot-on and helped make the evening really special. We stopped by the bar for an after-dinner drink and entertainment, which rounded out a really lovely evening.
Overall, my friend's Milestone birthday brunch was absolutely wonderful!! The setting, ambience, and food were simply Superb. Our Server was a bit stiff in the beginning and did NOT ask if I/we had been there before or explain (to me while I was waiting for the Birthday Girl to arrive) that a complimentary glass of champagne, mimosa or Bellini was included in the Brunch. I ordered a soft drink when I arrived, not planning on having any alcohol. We did have the complimentary alcoholic drink when it was explained it was included, but I think she should have explained that when I first sat down. She was a hesitant when I asked if there were any other options for the dessert but, then explained there were. Another server came over after she disappeared for awhile and explained how the Brunch menu worked AND there were definitely alternate choices for the dessert , not a problem at all. He was extremely personable, warm and professional. I think for the amount one is paying for Brunch at Hotel Bel Air, the Service could have been better. Our original Server did check with us after each course to make sure everything was fine which we appreciated. I will go again for another special occasion but will probably request the Server who was more willing to explain everything more readily. Thank you.
Service was uneven. Side dishes never were served with dinner. Deserts were charged to us even though we did not order them. We were charged for side dishes we did not eat because they were not served with dinner. Wine service was fair.
