North Lake Tahoe’s premiere restaurant and popular bar is celebrating 41 years of exceptional service. As a family-run business, Wolfdale’s provides lakeview dining with a warm ambiance, and uses 'Cuisine Unique' to describe the fresh and simple aesthetic of each dish. Since opening in 1978, Chef Douglas Dale has developed a fusion style of California and Asian influences that is present throughout the menu. Wolfdale's accommodates gluten-free and vegan guests.

    Service was very slow. Bar noise and young toddlers running around and making very loud noises was not to our liking. Entrees were very good, lovely presentation and delicious, especially the filet mignon. Getting bread served was very slow and the bar noise irritating.

    Wolfdales is a delight in Tahoe City. Cuisine Unique is definitely an apt description. Quality and flavor are exceptional. Great care is also taken with presentation on the plate and by the staff. The location and ambiance are part of the overall memorable experience.

    My first time at Wolfdales! Had a lovely mocktail at the bar, bartender very friendly, and enjoyed my dinner. Great food and service.

    This place was simply amazing. The setting on the shore of Lake Tahoe is idyllic. The menu is straightforward yet filled with interesting choices. All of the food was freshly prepared and presented beautifully. The service was outstanding. This is truly a hidden gem. I will be headed back there whenever I am in the Lake Tahoe region.

    Our favorite spot in Tahoe, hands down … so good that we’re going back this evening. More things to explore on the menu once we get past the tuna cones and oysters …
