Fantastic pastas. Great service.
I love this place. Every dish is exquisite. Have not had anything yet that I did not absolutely love. The staff is highly knowledgeable about the food and drink, and extremely attentive. A "must-go" if you're visiting Fishtown!
I'm gluten free so I can't comment on the pizzas and pasta which my friends now tell me are fantastic. We had snacks and then the steak and duck. The steak was very good, the duck ok. The appetizers were good, but not amazing. Overall it was a good meal, but I've had better in the neighborhood. Service was good, atmosphere and the building are very cool! Love the fireplace in the dining room.
Was a little nervous about the 62$ 24 oz porterhouse. Im picky med rare means med rare to me. They nailed it. Cooked perfectly and delicious, kudos! We will be back
Menu is extremely limited to those with special diets. Terrible for vegans and gluten free folks.
Really enjoyed our dinner. The food was great from beginning to end. Loved the pastas and the porterhouse for two. Very interesting wine list with reasonable markups. Will have to come back to try the pizzas!
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner. The food was outstanding and the service {Laura} was very attentive and courteous. We cannot wait to return, in fact we have talked to family and friends about a group dinner!
we loved this restaurant. loved the bartender, the service, the wine. everything
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday (his request) and it was a wonderful experience. We went a little early for a drink at the bar. Cocktails and atmosphere were great. Next time we might take our pre-dinner drinks to the sofa in the dining room and sit in front of the fireplace!
The sommolier gave us a wonderful recommendation for a wine to go with our steak and he was very attentive to our table and wine the whole night.
The steak was cooked to a perfect med rare, but we both thought the food was over salted; the cavatelli porcini pasta and the Prime Ribeye special. Regardless, it was such a wonderful night though and did not take away from the experience at all. We have raved about this place to our friends and family and will be back with more people soon!
Great meal excellent selections and flawless execution
Words cannot express the perfection of Wm. Mulherin's Sons.
The food exquisite.
The service - excellent - knowledgeable, friendly (without even a whiff of pretense).
The ambiance - enveloping - soft, warm, welcoming, yet lively!
I'm in Love! That is all I can say.........
Wonderful new restaurant with knowledgeable servers and very good food. My only complaint, and it is not exclusive to this restaurant, is when the table are very close together for this price point I shouldn't be having uninvited guests at dinner.
Everything was great! The food was delicious and the drinks were so much fun. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely like to go back.
Increadible service, and the food is unbeleivable. One of the greatest restaurants I have had for a dinner with my clients in Philly
The veal toast was amazing!
really high quality food. Currently there is venison on the menu, appropriate for the season. The veal cheeks were fabulous.
We arrived in the midst of a thunder storm and were greeted warmly by several staff members. Our friends, who we were meeting were lost and late. We were not hurried at all. The food was great! I loved the egg and speck pizza and my friend enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer. We shared hazelnut ice-cream, which was so creamy and good. The place itself is beautifully done and has a cozy feeling with great artwork. However, it was so noisy that we could not have a conversation without shouting to one another.
Such a lovely experience. The service was excellent and the food was even better! Looking forward to enjoying many more meals here.
We've been here several times and it never fails to disappoint. The pasta is delicious and the octopus is amazing.
Fantastic food, noisy wait staff a bit stuffy for the same.
As always terrific food and highly attentive service. My fourth visit and all expectations continue to be met. But I'd like to mention the exceptionally high level of professionalism of the staff. They handled a difficult situation with a large, rowdy group that was disrupting the dining experience of others with grace. They quickly acknowledged the distribution, tried to quiet the group (who were truly loud and foul-mouthed) and then moved us to a different room. It was a Saturday night so I'm sure they were completely booked but they did not put up any resistance to the requests from several different tables to be moved away from the obnoxious, selfish, inconsiderate group. It was not Mulherin's fault the group was loud and offensive- they were certainly place in a difficult position - but I really appreciate how they handled it.
Our third visit here. Each and every single pasta we've tried is out of this world. The pizza is also phenomenal. Fantastic wine recommendation (Sangiovese) as well. Will return again!
Outstanding. This was my third visit. I have yet to have a dish that wasn't exquisite.
This is a neighborhood gem & amazing addition to the Philly food scene! Can not wait to go back again.
Pleasantly surprised. I had a 5 minute wait for a table and was offered a drink in the foyer. Unfortunately my waitress was not so friendly and very parsimonious with the table bread, Sunday night I guess.
Had trouble with my cocktail but the wine list was excellent.
The food was great we had 2 appetizers, pasta (ragu tagliatelle?) and a pizza (spicy jawn?). I will be back for more as one of our neighbors got the hanger steak which made me regret my order.
Ambiance was energetic and fun. It was a bit dark so get those smartphones ready for older family members.
Good food. Not huge portions. Great atmosphere. Pricey drinks.
Food was outstanding. Great restaurant. Couple problems:
$22 for a Blantons rocks is obscene.
If a customer prefers a cocktail with rocks... please don't be snooty and say the bartender will not make cocktail.
Amazing everything. Highly, highly recommend. New favorite.
Amazing food and drinks
Excellent menu and server had tremendous knowledge of all items and a true passion for her job.
Everything we had was excellent, great restaurant.
Awesome experience, best place in fishtown
we went for an anniversary dinner and it was a very special meal. the atmosphere was terrific. the food was amazing! can't wait to go back!
Found the neighborhood being re gentrified with many pot holes and difficult to park. The menu could fit on a 3x5 card, there were so few options for our tastes. However pizza and papperdel posta were winners, as noted in the Philla Magazine. Fix the streets and find parking and we'll be back.
We ate dinner outside on a beautiful evening. It's a fun Urban setting with the L train nearby. The chef was preparing razor clams that evening & they were delicious! The pizza was definitely worth it as was the steak! We enjoyed the entire experience including the wine and the locals passing by the neighborhood!
There's a reason it's booked solid on a Tuesday night. The food is fantastic and the wine list could be one of the best I've seen in Philadelphia (besides Vetri maybe). The menu and the restaurant's environment are similar in that they are both approachable (pizza is on the menu) and casual (I wore a nice tshirt). The dishes are understandable and familiar, which is a breath of fresh air in this foodie/restaurant boom, where the emphasis on uniqueness is becoming exhausting. Anyway, think ravioli, cavatelli, pizza, octopus, steaks, etc. The execution is amazing and with the right amount of unusual. I have a lot of respect for a restaurant that makes standard fare and exceeds my expectations.
Great cocktails and wine selection. I liked that our waitress poured some samples of white wine to help us make our decision. Small plates were delish. Try and save room for the main course!
My son is a chef. It is often times hard to find a place that he can thoroughly enjoy. We found one of these gems. The cuisine as well as the staff and establishment put together made for a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We will visit again soon, LCP
The restaurant is beautifully refurbished; nice indoor and outdoor space. There for brunch so not the full menu. The brunch menu is a restricted so if your a picky eater, check the menu before you decide to go. Staff was very courteous and professional. I'd go again but maybe for dinner.
First time here for brunch and it was just as good as any previous amazing dinner :)
Exceptional, pizzas are a must, homemade pastas. Trained service always willing to suggest wine pairings, great with a group so you can try as much as you can off the menu
