We were in Princeton, NJ for an event and were looking for a place to eat afterwards. Being unfamiliar with the area we relied on Opentable and boy did they pull through. Witherspoon Grille was absolutely delicious. The service was great and so was the ambience. It’s an hour away from where we live but we are actually going to make a point to go back.

It was very busy. Manager came by while we were waiting for our table to offer us a drink.
Every person was apologizing for the wait.
Food was excellent and waiter very attentive.

I don't know much about downtown Princeton, but this was a great find in my opinion. I had a 16oz. pork chop which was very good. My wife had the scallops, and our friends had filet. I thought the atmosphere was excellent. The wine selection was pretty good as well. I would definitely go back.

Service was outstanding as well as the food. We all shared 3 kinds of oysters and all had excellent salads.

Food and service were perfect.
Our table was not in the main dining room and our party was out there alone for most of the evening. The prices are just too high to make this a regular spot.

Went for my birthday and it was all I had hoped - a simple Caesar salad tasted especially fresh and was a good size to split. Loved the atmosphere. The Millionaire specialty coffee was delicious and a generous pour.

Just a fabulous dining experience
The menu is diverse
The appetizers are enlightening
The entree are splendid and prepared to your request.
And the desserts were to die for.
One of my favorite places.

The food was lovely, the steak cooked to perfection. The desert was beautiful and the service quick and efficient. It is definitely a once in a blue moon experience though, as it is very pricey.

Six members of my family dined at the Witherspoon Grille for my daughter's 26th birthday. We were seated at a lovely table with a view outside, decorated with Holiday lighting. Everything from soup, salads and entrees were superb! The short ribs, filet and rack of lamb were worth mentioning. Yummy😀 Maurice, our waiter was very attentive. Our daughter was surprised with a candle and dessert provided by the restaurant, along with singing for her birthday. I would recommend the Witherspoon Grille foremost for the food, secondly for the ambiance and decor, and last but not least, for an overall excellent and complete dining experience. Worth the trip!!

A classic steakhouse, fish seafood, and delicious steaks. The dry-aged strip steak compares with any steak house I've been too.

Waitress very helpful and informative.

Christmas Eve early dinner before Church! Great meal, large portions. Beautiful cozy woodsy decor, lovely bar, great centralized location in town. Parking garage steps away. Everything was great Except, the bread... they could be more creative with warm bread vs cold, rough edge cake-like bread with no flavor... I'd do small interesting rolls with dipping oil or creamy spiced butter to match the rest of the food.

We were there for my husband's birthday celebrate--although he insist not to advertise it. Since my son had to drive we ordered two glasses of wine so we can share just for a birthday toast; the waitress seems not very enthusiastic about the idea and forgot to bring us an extra glass until I asked second times. She was courtesy enough the whole time, but no warm feelings at all. The food were excellent and environment was pleasant though.

I took my daughter and daughter-in-law out for a Christmas Holiday dinner...just the girls! We had a great time...it was a little loud with the live band, but we still enjoyed our time there. Food was great and service was awesome! We also enjoyed walking in Palmer Square and doing a little shopping.

Sadly my reservation did not make it to the restaurant. I did not have my phone to show them your eMail. We were seated but had to rush through our meal so they could honor the next reservation. This was a busy week prior to Christmas so they did try to to accomodate us

Witherspoon Grill never disappoints. Lovely ambiance, especially around the holidays. My friends and I enjoyed a festive lunch. Plenty of delicious salads for those who aren't red meat aficionados. Best hamburger in town.

We came to Witherspoon Grill for dinner prior to attending a concert at Richardson Auditorium. We were also celebrating the birthday of a dear friend. Despite snow making us arrive 15 minutes late, the restaurant held our reservation, and then lived up to our expectations of a relaxing and delicious dinner experience. Our friend loved it and that was most important to us. The food was wonderful, and the service was great! Especially enjoyed the beet salad and bananas foster bread pudding. Of course our various entrees were delicious as well. This was our second time here, and it will be our restaurant of choice when we are in Princeton.

I don’t think people go there expecting great food. It was fine but nothing special. Salads were ok but the dressings were bland. I had blackened salmon that was dry and way over cooked. The pound cake dessert was basically dry pond cake that was grilled with a tasty cream sauce and strawberries.
We still like the place but the meal we had today was only so so.
