The ambiance at Wit and Wisdom is great - come early or stay late so that you can browse the art work on the walls and the lobby. Very high ceiling and wonderfully appointed throughout. Great views of the harbor. Seating was comfortable and service was very good - not absolutely outstanding but no complaints. The food was reasonably priced; i.e. not inexpensive, but not outrageous. Still, given the over all tone of the place a bit disappointing. Excellent, but somehow not up to the promise of the rest of the place. I had the duck, which was perfectly cooked. However, although our server cautioned us that it would be a bit salty, was still saltier than I was expecting. Everything, including dessert, tasted fine, just not, I don't know, truly special. It is still the case that, in Baltimore, Charleston is the very best - in a class by itself. Nevertheless, Wit and Wisdom is an excellent restaurant and I'll definitely be back.

Food was great, but pricey. If they could do 2 choices for brunch with one smaller option would be better!

Great experience and a great, expanded menu. The wine list is extensive and bottles are 50% off on Sunday night.

no vibe, service was poor and food was decent. W&W used to be a fun, happening place...seemed like everyone inside the restaurant has kinda given up on it.

We went there for our daughter bday. Foods are really good. Not too pricy but you can’t compare to the one
In DC. They serve more high end selections. But over all we love it! Especially the view.

I did overall like this place. The look and atmosphere was great. the service was fantastic. The food wasn't worth the price though; not bad but not great & I wish there was a little more options on the menu.

1. Severely overpriced
2. How do you 86 1 of your only 6 entree sandwiches... On a SATURDAY? I'd understand if it would be a specialty item that takes a while to prepare.. But a RUBEN?
Again, if this would be a corner store or small business... But you charge $16.00 for a RUBEN and then you don't even have it.

Bottom line...
Service, location drinks are great.
Food tastes good but is wildly expensive... And whoever does the ordering needs to get their stuff together.. LOL

One of if not THE best restaurant in Baltimore , our Server Marlon was amazing , attention to detail ,knowledgeable , the sommelier Dawn was a wealth of knowledge and had a great story to go with every glass of wine not to mention her ability to pair the perfect wine with every dish , and then there was the food , from the steaks to the appetizers ( octopus tostada was out of this world ) over all the perfect experience , I felt like I was having dinner in my own living room with the worlds best hospitality crew , thank you wit and wisdom :)

The greeting was less than stellar. When you show up to a place like that, especially when you are celebrating something, you have certain expectations.

Couldn't find my reservation. Didn't know which tables were available. Continious mistakes on the computer checking us in, taking up time and was frustrating. It was uncomfortable. If I ever need to take someone to a special occasion I will not be returning there.

While I'm not a foodie, the lack of selections on the menu left me and my party of 6 wanting something else. Some food was over
seasoned and others were perfect, I wouldn't return here for a meal, but rather visit for drinks ONLY!

Grades: The Appetizer - lamb meatballs, the Dessert - chocolate bar, grade A . Salad and Entree, grade D. I had the peach salad and the no flavor chicken entree. Salad was composed of garnish, and you'd better like garnish because it was also served as decoration on the entrees. The chicken tasted boiled in water- all flavor washed away. Server was aware but no adjustment for a poorly made dish. Wine by the glass, grade D. Sour notes. The view , grade A . A nice view of the water. Will return for dessert and view, but not to eat or drink the wine.

This was my second visit to Wit and Wisdom over the past six months. The music playing in the restaurant needs an overhaul. The selection is dreadful and the volume is deafening.
It is nearly impossible to carry on a conversation. Unfortunate for such a nice restaurant.
The sommelier was outstanding.

No issue with paying Four Seasons prices for Four Seasons quality - especially from a Michael Mina restaurant - but this misses the mark completely. We typically dine at Bourbon Steak in DC, and Wit & Wisdom is not even a close third when it comes to food taste and quality.

Overall, the food was meh... and the restaurant was rather noisy. They really need to work on their temperatures as well as pacing between courses. In terms of value- the meal was exceptionally expensive. The Somm consistently tried to upsell wines of lesser quality and higher price - which rubbed me the wrong way. Overall, our meal wound up being $125/head without alcohol. I wouldn't go back as the price to performance ratio is way off.

Great lunch spot for my Aunt for her birthday. It was especially quite as it was a holiday (labor day). Service was excellent, food delicious. I had the caeser salad - with slightly grilled capers, who would have thought to grill them a bit to take out the vinegar? The bay chips are great, I requested the lemon aioli (used for fries) for a dip - delicious! I didn't think their bread to start was very tasty, hence the 4 stars, but everything else was great. My cousin said the bar scene is great usually on the weekends - so hope to check it out on my next visit to Baltimore!

We waited 20 minutes between our appetizers and our meal. The food obviously sat under the warmers for quite a while because my daughter's steak au jus had congealed. My husband's fish had dried on the outer edges.

The appetizers were somewhat slow to come out. Then the wait was worse for the entrees. Our waiter came to the table, unsolicited, and said he'd spoken to the chef and they were finishing up.

Obviously someone dropped the ball somewhere. No apology or explanation was offered nor any food comps.
We had to leave for our concert and since the meal ran over we didn't have time to discuss the difficulties with our server (who wasn't around to deliver the entrees anyway).

The music was loud and not well suited for dining and we were grateful for the nice weather so we could sit outside. The crab ravioli appetizer was worthwhile.

They did a very nice job being careful and aware of serious food allergies.

A disappointing meal was had by all. Some individual dishes were fine-sides mostly-but overall not one out of eight of us thought the food was terribly good. It was, however, expensive. Baltimore has too many really good restaurants to waste time trying Wit and Wisdom again.

Having read the reviews I was expecting a spectacular dinner. I was severely disappointed, especially for a restaurant in the Four Seasons. Here's what I experienced:
* Off to a good start - hostess was wonderful.
* Bartender couldn't crack a smile, not very friendly
* Once we got to the table, actually the service was excellent (this saved the evening!)
* The food - over priced and under seasoned. The tuna tartare lacked flavor (needed some acidity); the octopus was a bit chewy and was edible with the tostada, but not alone; the crab 3 ways - all disappointing with little flavor.

For the price we paid, I would not come again.
