We had a very nice meal at Wit and Wisdom. Hushpuppies were a little oversold, they were a bit dry and the lobster foam did not taste like lobster. Salads were fantastic, I had the kale squash. Lobster pot pie was good, but not great. It was very one note, which may just be the case with a pot pie, but it was not worth it in the end. Short rib, however, was very nice and quite filling with the lentils. Service was spot on and location and ambience kept it a special night out. We'll probably come back.

Service was excellent, great wine list with knowledge staff that made great suggestions. Appetizers were very tasty but very small. Everything went well except for the entrees. I was with 8 friends celebrating my wife’s birthday, it was a Sunday night and not very crowded. 4 people got the ribeye all were not seasoned, all were warm (not hot) and most were not cooked as requested mostly over done. I ordered a NY stripe which was overlooked, under seasoned and just tough. Two girls got the rockfish and it was incredibly fishy. The sides were excellent I just with the main event was worth the very expensive price tag.

Good food. Waited too long to get bartenders attention despite it being not very crowded

While the ambiance and service were lovely, I thought the the food was very overpriced and it wasn't very good. It definitely was not worth the price.

Very nice brunch with delicious food. Would have loved to have our plates cleared when we went back to the buffet a second time. Our dirty plates remained on the table on more than one occasion while we were getting additional courses and dessert. Very polite staff, however. As soon as I asked for our plates to be removed in between courses they became much more attentive.

Amazing resteraunt. Naturally a bit over priced but not too pretentious. Great service. Good food. Food is very very very good but nothing mind blowing for the extreme prices. You are really paying for the name FOUR SEASONS. BUT you will get great service and a tasty meal!

Overall, the experience was very good. The food was good, however I expected a little more at the price point. It was mostly a breakfast buffet with some additional items such as a crepe station, pre-sliced prime rib, oysters and shrimp and some wings, tenders and fries for the kids.
The service was very good. Andrew was very attentive, professional, but relaxed and in tune with the vibe of our group. The views from Wit are fantastic and it was beautiful on a cold, clear winter morning.

Went in and my friend and I were seated. 8 pm. no wait. I have no issue with the quality of the food but $60 for a 4 inch square of Rockfish was pretty steep. Asked for suggestions from the sommelier. She picked a good wine that went with our appetizers and main courses but never came back with the Pinot Noir for our Foie Gras. I asked several times, through all of the changing servers, rarely the same, throughout the evening. I never did get my Espresso that I ordered. I felt rushed as the table was bussed before I even had the opportunity of finishing one of my courses. I have been there before and had wonderful food and service. This night just surprised me. I had no problem with the bill, per se, I ordered what I wanted and I got what I ordered, and was not charged for what they did not bring, but I have come to expect a wonderful evening at W and W, it just didn't happen this time.

Food was good as were the drinks. Steak was cooked correctly which is a big deal to me and had great flavor. Our only issue was our server only brought half of our seafood appetizers out before our main dishes. We then got the other half after being served our main dishes.

We went for Christmas dinner and the service and the meal were outstanding! It was a set three course menu of exquisite flavors expertly prepared. I had chestnut soup, duck and the French toast dessert and they were amazing. Everything was excellent including the service. Highly recommended!

Christmas dinner at the Wit and Wisdom was very much a disappointment. The menu promised a delightful holiday meal in a pleasant setting. Unfortunately, despite the ambiance of a view of Baltimore's Inner Harbor and the pleasant and efficient staff, the food provided was, in a word, terrible! Admittedly, the appetizer course was adequate, but the main course and dessert course were not only a disappointment but made all of us feel that we were participating in the chef's Christmas experiment in culinary preparation or he/she was merely being pretentious. The promised duck resembled not so much a duck as two slabs of thick bacon -- and tasted more like a spicy ham than duck. The fish was bland and tasteless. The dessert menu had eliminated the promised creme puffs, replaced with "french toast". Several of us tried the "chocolate" and were served a soupy, slightly chocolate liquid topped with a tepid cream that we didn't know if we should sip it or spoon it. In short, our Christmas dinner was not as advertised, especially at $85/person plus wine.

It was Christmas so menu was limited and expensive. Can't give an accurate rating since it wasn't there ordinary menu and prices are up everywhere that day.

Christmas Eve Dinner is a special event in our family and this year we enjoyed the wonderful service and ambiance of Wit and Wisdom. We arrived early for our reservation as church services were shorter than expected, but were seated almost immediately even though the section had not yet opened.

Our server was helpful in describing the menu offerings and when I expressed concerns about our wine paring, our sommelier materialized without ceremony to help. And help she did--our wine was more than perfect for each of us.

The only disappointment, and perhaps I should have checked the menu before making reservations, was that two of our party eat chicken almost exclusively for protein. There is, surprisingly, no chicken offering on the menu. With the huge variety of meats and seafood on the menu, I'm sure that would not be an issue for most people.

The Hush Puppy Starter was, perhaps, the best I have ever tried, and the Lobster Pot Pie was a delight in table-side preparation, presentation, and enjoyable taste and texture. The Risotto was perfect (the choice of our two chicken eaters!) and the Short Ribs were a savory delight. Surprisingly, I believe the urban sophistication of the decor and ambiance was what I enjoyed most about this magical Christmas eve with family.

I took my entire team out for an end of the year celebration. I have eaten here three times previously but had not ordered any of the steaks. My top salesman and I each ordered the 16 oz wagyu ribeye medium rare. Wow, what a disappointment. When I spend $60+ for a steak, I expect it to be something special. Both of our steaks were over cooked, dry and chewy. I was hosting this $1000 dinner and did not want to make a scene, but I was ready to light someone up about it. Wagyu? I could have gotten a better steak at the grocery store. I travel up and down the east coast and eat out quite a lot. I even wonder weather it was really wagyu. The sides were good as was the seafood tower. The worst part was that my salesman looked at me and said “ Yeah, this is pretty good”. He was obviously trying to make me feel better. This was embarrassing as I built this restaurant up to be something special.

Brunch with Santa. Was a nice brunch experience. Santa was ok, quite slender and my son was confused by it and asked a lot of questions. The cookie decorating station was a fiasco with oversized icing bags for very small hands and no help from staff as was advertised there would be. Brunch was great food - especially the crepe station, the croissants, the soup and the shrimp. The bottomless mimosas are a very nice offering. The live music was nice but we were at the far opposite end of the dining room so we couldn’t hear it to enjoy it much.

The buffet is excellent for variety, seafood and desserts. We have been several times and will likely be back. The hot buffet was lukewarm however. The cheese grits are a superstar! The oysters and shrimp are worth the entire buffet. Our service was terrible with infrequent drink/coffee refills; we had to put plates on the next empty table to have them taken from our small table. Not the experience that I was expecting on my birthday, overall just fair.

We took our folks to this place for a family gathering. We went to the Sunday Brunch, cost $59, minus any booze. The website said raw bar, which was just really bad raw oysters. They looked like they were dried out, maybe shucked the night before. The boiled shrimp were as tuff as shoe leather. The ribeye was also overdone. Other then that, it was eggs, bacon, grits... Did I say it was $59 each. By the time we all got a bloody mary and tipped it came to $360 for 4 for brunch. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

The ambiance at Wit and Wisdom is great - come early or stay late so that you can browse the art work on the walls and the lobby. Very high ceiling and wonderfully appointed throughout. Great views of the harbor. Seating was comfortable and service was very good - not absolutely outstanding but no complaints. The food was reasonably priced; i.e. not inexpensive, but not outrageous. Still, given the over all tone of the place a bit disappointing. Excellent, but somehow not up to the promise of the rest of the place. I had the duck, which was perfectly cooked. However, although our server cautioned us that it would be a bit salty, was still saltier than I was expecting. Everything, including dessert, tasted fine, just not, I don't know, truly special. It is still the case that, in Baltimore, Charleston is the very best - in a class by itself. Nevertheless, Wit and Wisdom is an excellent restaurant and I'll definitely be back.
