You will all be missed!
Visited a total of 3 times. 1 great experience, 1 mediocre experience and 1 subpar. 1st time was celebratory for a coworker who was leaving and were had a fantastic time w fantastic food and service!! Returned a month later w family for brunch and it was ok... just ok. Overpriced for the basic variety. I rushed to visit over this past weekend saddened about the upcoming closure and it was an awful experience. Service was super slow. My Caesar Salad had runny dressing, Glazed Wings not glazed or seasoned. Waitress (Shannon) appeared flustered and discombobulated the entire 2 hours we there making our visit prolonged. Oooppss, forgot to add they weren't busy!
I no longer feel sad about the closing and welcome the change !!
It saddens me to know Wit & Wisdom is closing its Inner Harbor location. I've been several times for lunch & had to see if the Sunday brunch was as good as I've been told. It WAS! The staff was extremely warm, friendly & accommodating without pretense. The food was scrumptious (except the beef ... too dry for me) and the omelet chef was exceptional! I couldn't believe the size of the shrimp!!! The Four Seasons in downtown Baltimore will DEFINITELY not be the same without this gem.
Terrible service. Drinks were empty. Food was cold and arrived late. Management was going around apologizing to each table. Could not have left faster
Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and an in-house sommelier helped pick out a bottle to pair with our entrees, made the experience personalized and special!!
Great place, great food. It costs a bit but is worth it. We will miss this place on Christmas day from her out as it is closing at the end of December 2018. Will be replaced by new owners and serve Mexican fare.
I've always loved this restaurant. For the second year we had Christmas dinner here and it was excellent. This year was a beautiful and bountiful buffet of delicious foods, from jumbo shrimp, rockfish, bourbon ham and lamb to roasted vegetables and an array of sinful desserts. I'm so sorry to hear it's closing. It's going to be missed!
Christmas brunch was wonderful (altho a bit expensive)
Lovely Christmas Eve Brunch with live jazz music and excellent service.
Damn shame they are closing on 12/31/2018. We have always found the food to be fantastic and the cocktails to be both incredibly creative and tasty
Overrated restaurant. Just another celebrity chef
The food was outstanding. The only item that no one in our group tried was the prime rib. It was SUPER rare. We work in food service and no one wanted to try it.
The service was average. We had better last time we were there.
Overall it was a fabulous time We will
Miss Wit and Wisdom!
Great time! Unrushed and the food was delicious. They sat us at a nice table overlooking the harbor.
Very bad service. I checked into Four seasons for a night and reserved the table for dinner to celebrate my friend's bday. The steak was under cooked and when sent back came out charred and fell apart. We had been drinking sparkling water and the waitress refilled my half empty glass with tap water from the jug. This was by far the worst experience with customer service....
Went here for my anniversary and has an excellent meal. Great ambiance, friendly servers. The meal was pricey, but totally worth it.
Went for brunch. Including bottomless mimosas, the cost was over $80 per person. Food was just ok. Expected much better food for the price. Service was excellent.
The buffet was limited and very overpriced! Our waitress offered to bring us anything from the kitchen that we did not see on the buffet. We asked for fried oysters( which we were told would be on the buffet when we called) and the waitress said they didn’t have batter. Overall very disappointed in the value!
Friendly staff and great view of the harbor. Food is fine but desserts were exceptional
One of my favorite restaurants. Our server Shannon was excellent. Buffett offers good variety to please anyone’s taste. Covenient parking.
Our waiter was nice and very personable. Our steaks were perfectly cooked with a tasty crust on the outside. It was my birthday and for dessert he surprised me with small bowls of all their ice cream flavors and a little chocolate wafer with a candle. I have nothing bad to say about this place! Great dining experience!
Unfortunately they are acting like they will be closing in a month. The food was just okay, we had to ask for bread, had a 5:30pm reservation at which time I asked to be seated at a 4 top, up on arrival I was told that they were all reserved, from 5:30 until we left at 7pm not one 4 top was seated. Don't waste your time going here, the employees are clearly in a I don't have much longer to work here mode
which is sad because it used to be a great restaurant. Neither the service nor the food were representative of a Michael Mina restaurant.
For a Thanksgiving buffet it is hard to beat if you want good food and outstanding service. At $95 plus tax and tip it's hard to truly recommend this over more conventional restaurants, like Charleston at a similar price point, but those reservations are hard to get. The turkey was so moist and tasty that it was a highlight of the meal while the pasta with black truffle sauce was divine and the cocktail shrimp were fresh and gigantic. The mac and cheese had an ultimate in cheesiness and stuffing was at herbal excellence at its best. Let downs included the sushi which was of supermarket quality, if the supermarket had left it out for hours, salads which seemed more of an afterthought and more like weird side dishes and the desserts were just ordinary. i was hoping for their wonderful lobster pot pie but there was no joy. Although the restaurant will validate the parking it's only a discount and parking will still cost you $14 plus driver tip. All in all a good experience if expensive meal, and better than the similar fare at The Rusty Scupper buffet at half the price and a much smaller crowd at W&W.
This is our second time dining at Wit and Wisdom for dinner and it was just a spectacular as the first. Kudos to the chef and his team for some of the best prepared and presented dishes we’ve had in all of Baltimore. The Waite Staff deserves an equal call out for not only be gracious but fully familiar with the menu and wine list, creating a much more personalized dining experience. Top it all off with some of the best views of the Harbor and it’s easy to see why Wit and Wisdom is top rated Baltimore restaurant!
Second time there for Sunday brunch. A little on the pricey side, but everything is so fresh and delicious! Service is attentive and super friendly.
I have had brunch here several times. The food seemed to be different this time and fewer options
The lobster pot pie was delicious and beautifully presented, well worth the price if you split it with a friend.
Though I appreciate the attentiveness, the server filling the water would fill the glass between every sip... sheesh! Haha, great experience overall.
Wonderful restaurant; great service and great food
Service and atmosphere was great. However, the value of food comparable to the price is not what I expected. Over the top cost.
Very good place. 5 stars! Quiet and romantic restaurant for meals. Nice Baltimore bayview.
Everything was awesome and I was surprised when I saw the large portions
My Hanger Steak was a bit tough, spouse ordered the same but was served much better. Knife was bland and could hardly cut. They made up for it with very nice desserts.
I had been to Wit & Wisdom the week before and everything was excellent - drinks, food, service - it was a great experience. I went back this week for a business dinner and I was very disappointed. The oysters were not shucked properly, we were told about specials that they had run out of, and our waiter kept dropping items. This was on a Monday so perhaps steer clear on Mondays?
The place was nice, the wait staff was very nice, but the food was just ok. The real kicker was that we both got 1 drink, both got an entree, and an extra side dish, no dessert. It cost us $201. I think that's absurd. I would have happily paid $80 for that meal. It was decent, but there wasn't actually that much flavor or finesse in the food, so it was absolutely not worth the prices.
The service was great, cocktails and wine were great, nice setting. The food was delicious but not served well. They made up for it but we wondered what was going on given that it wasn’t that busy.
I've eaten at two other Four Seasons properties and was a little disappointed with my experience. The server mentioned a couple of people called out so that explained why service was slow. I appreciated the explanation but was it necessary? The calamari was greasy with the oily residue left in the serving dish. Our server brought the check over without me asking for it and wasn't offered a dessert menu which I wanted to see. When I asked to see the dessert menu I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday (which I noted in the reservation). It took a long time for the cheesecake to arrive and out server came over a few times to explain they're made in another part of the hotel. She was kind enough to send a dessert dish for daughter which she and I appreciated. When she brought the updated check I looked over the bill and she was quick to point out my daughter's dish was complimentary. I explained I always make sure I receive the correct check before giving my credit card and assumed the birthday dish was complimentary. Uneven experience at best.
Birthday lunch. Wit and Wisdom has a select lunch menu in which I was unaware of BUT still really good.
Every time we go here we are impressed. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is exceptional!
This was our second visit. We love the Sunday brunch. Everything was fresh and delicious. Lots of items to choose from and harbor views can't be beat. We will be back.
Don't like the additional charge for the bottomless mimosas.
