Our server was amazing! Food was delicious.
Food was fantastic. We were from out of town and looking for "southern food". The fried chicken, mac and cheese, and "corn pudding" were amazing. Our waitress, Natalie, was so helpful and kind. There wasn't a single think I would change.
Was a very tasty and enjoyable meal....
Great food and service! Love Wisteria!
We went on Valentines Day. Needless to say it was very busy, so it was quite loud. It was still romantic. Food and service was good. My boyfriend said it’s the best beef he’s ever had. I would recommend for a nice date.
When I was trying to pick out a romantic dinner spot for Valentine’s Day, I saw this restaurant on the list as one of the best spots for this occasion. My date and I really enjoyed the food at the restaurant; however, there were some flaws.
1. The service was sub-par. We got to the restaurant around 8:30, and had ordered our appetizers and food 5-10 minutes later. After a little over an hour later, we still hadn’t received our meals. They didn’t even bring the bread out until around the time the food came out, which I thought was weird.
2. There was a couple sitting next to us that got their food way before ours came out, and we had gotten to the restaurant before them, about 10-15 minutes before. I was starting to get super annoyed that they got their food before ours.
It might be a while until I’ll be back at this place. The food quality was good for sure, but I don’t know if it was worth the wait, or the cost for the meal.
We had a 8:15 reservation and arrived on time and immediately seated when our food came out it was obvious that our food sat out in the kitchen and was brought out cold we were not satisfied at all
Great experience. Very cozy date night
BEST IN CITY!
Wine is expensive here (as it is everywhere). Food, service and ambiance continue to be first rate.
Absolutely wonderful! Service was incredible. Our waitress was perfectly attentive but gave us a lot of time to be on our own. The food was incredible. The atmosphere was amazing. Truly a great experience
Not conducive to intimate conversation when the restaurant is full, but still fun.
Great food and service. It was very loud though.
Phenomenal. This is for a business dinner, but I will be definitely taking my girlfriend here for a date. I know she’ll love it. Tons of positive energy fills the room!
My wife and I were very pleased when we walked into Wisteria. Lots of people seeming to be having a good time and we were seated in a nook area by a window. Very nice. We ordered and had two very different experiences.
My wife ordered beautiful mussels in a delicious broth appetizer and then a very meaty lamb shank. She would rate Wisteria far better than I. I ordered flash dried oysters for an appetizer. "FLASH" is a key word here. The very few small oysters I received buried under veggies were obliterated to the point of being tasteless and barely identifiable. My entree was the "Low Country Boil" which sounded wonderful. But, once again I was very disappointed. Again, under a veggie pile, I found clams, mussels, a hunk of salmon all of which were fine. But I expected more ... like maybe "Low Country" shrimp. I found a few tiny creatures (size of a nickel) which I presumed were the smallest shrimp I'd ever seen. That was unfortunate. when the server came to take my plate I showed him these wee animals and he advised me they were crawfish and the menu did not list shrimp. Fair enough. Nevertheless, if they are crawfish I would expect them to be large and meaty enough for me to recognize the species.
Very fairly and to their credit Wisteria did not charge me for my unexciting entree. I accepted because I'd driven in from the burbs to a fine Atlanta restaurant and wished I hadn't. I'd much prefer to pay full price for an enjoyable meal because that's why I go to nice restaurants.
This neighborhood gem is always consistent. Excellent food, service and ambiance!
Great food. Gt
Not sure what happened. Have always heard great things and the reviews online were excellent. Food was awful..first time actually sent back because we couldn’t eat it. Even the service was like I can smell it. Seasoning was horrible and food was cold. Sent soup back to heat up from the beginning. Catfish was horrible. They immediately swapped out fish out for a steak but even it was ok and the Mac and cheese side was cold. I just ate the steak and left the Mac and cheese on the plate. At this point I was ready to go. Definitely not worth the 300 we spend. Thankful the wine was good. Server was awesome. At the end he offered a glass of wine on the house but we were like it’s all good. Hope they were just having an off night. The restaurant is really cute and love the area.
Never disappoints! The staff is wonderful, remembering me although I come into town only about twice a year. Food is always delectable. Drinks are adventurous and delightful!
Wonderful selection of standard southern fare. Great service. Excellent food.
I’ve enjoyed Wisteria for many years now, but they went through a period of inconsistent food quality a few months ago. It seems everything has returned to normal. Excellent service on a busy night: we were greeted and seated right away, received prompt friendly attention and excellent bar service. Ordered the deviled eggs and calamari appetizers. Eggs were very tasty, but the cornmeal batter on the calamari want to the liking of one “traditionalist” guest. The table ordered the fish special, the meatballs, shrimp & grits and the old standby fried chicken. The fish special and fried chicken were excellent. The meatballs didn’t thrill the person who ordered it, but I thought it was good. The shrimp and grits have always been too liquidy for me, and they were liquidy this night as well. In my opinion you shouldn’t need a soup spoon to eat shrimp and grits - but that’s my opinion. The flavors were very good, despite the soupyness.
Overall, I am happy to say I think that Wisteria is back on track.
It was our first visit to Wisteria and definitely plan on going back! Love their southern savvy dishes and drinks. I recommend the almond crusted Georgia trout!
We had a group of 10 dine here on a Wednesday night and the food was absolutely incredible! It’s was decently busy but service was on point. The Chef/Owner even came to visit with our table! We were a group from Boston looking for some
authentic southern food and this checked all the boxes. AMAZING!
Food was incredible and we love the atmosphere!
Exceptional food and amazing ambiance! The skate wing was fantastic.
It was my first time at the restaurant after hearing rave reviews. I ordered the pork chop. Unfortunately, it was not only burned on some parts but also cold and dry. I inquired with the waiter, who shared that the burnt part was “carmalized.” (However, I know the difference). The side and toppings were good though.
Great service by Natalie!
The service was slow and confused. We met for a girls dinner. It was too loud for the entire table to hear.
We go to Wisteria at least once when we come to Atlanta for the gift show. They never disappoint. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. My trout was so moist and very well seasoned. The pork tenderloin and all the trimmings had not a drop left on the plate. The shrimp and grits was excellent. Their skillet fried chicken was a big hit.
My only complaint is the noise level. It’s very hard to have a conversation without shouting at the person next to you or across the table.
Amazing! Great food and atmosphere.
First night of our January work week in ATL and our usual date night to kick off the week. So many good restaurants in ATL to choose from and Wisteria remains at the top of our list. Tonight it was Wisteria at it’s finest. First of all the restaurant was busy but not packed so it was not as noisy as it can be. We had a window table removed from the back so it was enjoyable to see the people on the street. Rebekah was our server and she was new to us but with her charm she is going to develop a following at Wisteria and we compliment her. We did not know Rodney Strong winery produced a rose so with the Merlot to go law in effect we purchased a bottle, had some delicious wine with our meal and carried the rest back to our room. The pork tenderloin, one of my husband’s favorites here was excellent. I had a side of roasted Brussel sprouts, simply done, nothing fancy and very good. I also had the crab cake which was served on a bed of very tasty corn hash with light dollops of remoulade and what appeared to be a ground basil dipping oil that was delicious and a different accompaniment with the crab cake that worked well. Once again Wisteria, a well served meal and we may have to squeeze in another meal here during our hectic week. BTW splurge on dessert. They are small portions and the blood orange basil granita, banana pudding and chocolate torte finished off another good meal. Thank you Wisteria.
It was okay. I wasn’t blown away by the food, but maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I had the shrimp & grits.
This was probably my 5th or 6th time eating here and unfortunately, probably my last. For $140 (2 people) there are so many better food options in Atlanta. My wife had the almond crusted trout which had very little flavor along with the succotash. I had the steak which was cooked to the correct temperature but also lacked flavor as well. Seems time for the menu to refresh as it doesn’t looked like it has had much of an overhaul over the past 4-5 years. First time eating here was back in 2010/2011 which I believe was a different chef.
Fried Chicken can’t be beat!! Salads are unique and tasty. Service impeccable from Christian down to the bus staff.
Natalie was our waitress and she was awesome! Great food! Cool atmosphere.
A very enjoyable experience all around. Really loved the pumpkin hush puppies, the crab bisque and the Mac & cheese. Beef tenderloin was good but not a standout. The small desserts were creative and just the right size. Cocktails and wine offerings were great. Service was friendly and attentive.
Wisteria is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The atmosphere, the service, the wine menu, and the food are all wonderful. My all-time favorite dish that I order every time is the crab cake. It is so tender, filled with lump meat and the flavoring is excellent. I'm from Maryland so I know what a crab cake should taste like. All the entrees are delicious and beautifully presented. I like the portion sizes as well. If you are coming to visit Atlanta, this restaurant is a must. You will not be disappointed.
A fun New Year’s Eve! Our food was excellent although my entree was not hot. Nonetheless, everything else was en pointe.
NYE celebration. Always enjoy Wisteria!
Excellent Rack of lamb. My husband said it was the best he could ever remember having. The Skate wing was excellent too. Our waitress was outstanding and the whole experience was wonderful for. An early New Years Eve Dinner
