Really enjoyed our meal, service was great, sunset was beautiful from our table!
We ate at the Bistro. My pizza was very fresh but no flavor and the dough was under cooked. On the other hand, my husband ordered the filet mignon and loved it. We ordered a bottle of wine that was 1/2 off and it was outstanding. We will be back but will order something other than the pizza.
Great service, Don was amazing. Food was perfect!
Awesome meal. Reserved a table and it was ready when we arrived. Great experience.
Everything we ordered was delicious -- fig appetizer, beet salad, duck, steak, lamb -- and excellent Wise Villa wines. The restaurant is gorgeous and the location fabulous, high on a hill with a view straight out of Italy. It was a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back!
The service and food was not the normal excellence we are used to getting. The chicken was bland, dressing was bland, my wine glass had lipstick dried on it, had to ask waitress several times for things and the place was very hot inside. This is not what we normally encounter, hope just a one off day. The lamb was delicious and so was the chocolate cake. This is a special place for us and we are wine club members, so we will give it another try. Please dont disappoint.
Even though my uber drive was told by his phone to drop us off 1 mile from the location we stayed in the car until we arrived at the winery/restaurant. It's a beautiful location, on top of a hill with vineyards. Food was wonderful, the wine was really good we left with 5 bottles between the 3 of us sisters, wonderful selections of appetizers we enjoyed for dinner. Will be back when in the area.
Perhaps the finest wines in all of California paired with a great chef; what a treat!
Beautiful setting with plenty of staff to take care of all the customers
Date night with my love! Wine tasting was fun and dinner was exceptional!
Great lunch at the bistro! Had the steak bites and Brussel sprouts. Husband had the burger. Food was delicious. Loved the ambiance too. The property has a beautiful vineyard view. Enjoyed the Viognier.
Awesome service by our waiter, Don Sullivan. Top shelf wine with a delicious lunch on the patio.
Pinot Noir was fantastic but food was below average and overpriced for quality. I would recommend a tasting then a bottle for outside without the noise and a better view. The small plates were ok but the mains were not great at all...especially for the prices.
Waited WAY too long for our main course. Service was not up to par for such a great place. Server would also bring out main dishes sproradically instead of all at once forcing many hungry people to wait to eat until we politely all got our food. Better service and servers would improve this rating. We love having a great place to eat and a beautiful setting close to our rural home however the service was so bad I would not come back often which is really unfortunate.
We have had lunch at the Villa which was great. We thought dinner would be also. Sad to say our appetizers , salad and entree came at the same time. One plate was well done that should have been med-rare and the other was a filet that was cold. So disappointed.
Great food and setting beautiful atmosphere and setting
I enjoy spending time with my wife at this nice establishment, we enjoy the staff and the nice environment. Always looking forward to going here.
Make your next special event very special - have dinner at Wise Villa Winery. The wine is outstanding, food is scrumptious, staff is friendly and the vineyard is a beautiful backdrop.
Our server, Kalika, makes every trip there outstanding. The food and view are amazing and the winery is a perfect place to enjoy a wonderful evening.
We had a great night out with friends. Always a great place to go and feel like your far away from home, but only a hop, skip, and jump away!
We love coming here for a quick lunch bite. We are also wine club members, so we are a little bias. We love this place! Grover and the team, do fabulous job!
We had guests from out of state and decided to take them to dinner at the beautiful Wise Villa Winery. It is a beautiful setting, especially in the evening, for a relaxing tasting of wines and wonderful food! We had a lovely evening with exemplary service and will make it our “go to”place when we have guests again in the future!
We've been twice. First time was better than the second. Don't get me wrong, we'll go back but it's important to give feedback if they will actually use it.
The first time we ate appetizers and did our own 'table tasting' by buying/sharing several different glasses of wine. This was a great experience.
The second time we reserved a table for lunch and ordered entrees and wine by the bottle. Not a great experience.
Food is high quality but entree prices are a bit high, especially when served with no vegetable or other side included. We ended up leaving hungry. I would stick with appetizers next time and maybe a salad to go with them.
We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay but it was actually room temperature, not chilled. This was probably an accident of not keeping the wine fridge stocked, but still, I paid $38 for the bottle and I expect a winery to be on top of it.
So, I will return to Wise Villa but my second visit made me more wary, which is not what I would expect. Hope this is taken in the spirit of improvement!
Food, service, ambience, and value. 5 stars out of 5. This place is a “hidden gem.”
Our group of four were very disappointed in the choices for Sunday at 11:30. They only offered appetizers, two sandwiches and two salads. They were out of soup (just opened so not sure what happened). The burger was average, the chicken sandwich was ok but the fries were room temperature. The chicken on the beet salad was burned, there were maybe four slices of beet and it was over half some weird lettuce. I informed the server and she replaced the chicken with more burned chicken, no extra beets. The salad was comped which was very nice but I left hungry. The servers were delightful and very knowledgeable about the wine. Won’t be going back
Wine club pickup and lunch.
Father day BBQ
We got there at 3. They had a prefix menu for Father’s Day. They charged us the full price but ran out of food. We could not eat at the same time because there was no meat so some had to wait. One only had macaroni salad because she was a vegetarian and there was a risotto option but they didn’t have it. It was not clear that desert was not included. The salad was wilted and my Dad refused to eat it. The BBQ would only give us tiny amounts because he didn’t “want it to run out”. We felt bad for the BBQ guys.
The charcuterie plate was an honest joke. Straight up! Hard pass if we were ever going to consider coming back.
Server was barely there and not very helpful. She didn’t offer ANYTHING for the tremendous inconvenience and they fact that we couldn’t eat together on Father’s Day.
We left a whole $40 bottle on the table by accident but no attempt to reach us.
Honestly, iThe whole thing was a bit of bust. Luckily, we all love each other and we’re determined to enjoy ourselves despite the extreme deficit of WW.
We paid our bill in full and left a 20% tip. None of which they deserved really.
Ciao wise winery, there are much better places out there....
We love this place and go here often for lunch and wine tasting
We went for the Father’s Day bbq. They had us sit at some portable tables under canopies outside for our 1145 reservation . It was nice enough, we understood that the inside was busy because of the holiday, but felt the servers forgot about us a little. The bbq buffet was delicious and the setting could not be more beautiful. We will definitely come back.
We attended their Father's Day BBQ. The food was okay. Average cookout food. The grounds are very pretty. The issue we had was with the service. It was terrible. Our server was rarely present. She passed by our table several times and never bothered to greet us or at least say she would be right with us if she was busy. She finally acknowledged us about 10 minutes later, and it was so strange since she had passed by us so many times before. We figured someone else must be our server since she kept passing us by. The tables around us all had very friendly, attentive servers. Every table around us was provided with a bottle of water, including her other tables, but not ours. She failed to tell us about the steak special, so we were planning on just having the BBQ items, until we saw a massive steak being served to another table and asked what they were having. She never checked on us once we received our food. People around us received their steaks before us even though we placed our order first, and the steak came out well-done when we had requested medium-rare... maybe another table got our steak and we got theirs. We wanted to get dessert, and waited for about 20 minutes after we finished eating, but she never came by, so I eventually just walked inside and closed out at the bar. We ended up going somewhere else after we left and got dessert. Also, right when we were in the middle of opening our first Father's Day gifts, she interrupted to drop off the check. She said sorry, so she was aware it was a poor moment to be dropping off a check. Overall, I was pretty disappointed since this was supposed to be a special day.
The atmosphere is always nice at Wise Villa Winery, and the wine and service were great. But the food was inferior this time. The bun on the chicken sandwich was as hard as a rock, and the citrus salad with chicken was lackluster and not worth the $12-$15.
Good food, great wine accompanied by knowledgeable and friendly service
The ambiance immediately upon entry is spectacular with a view of the mountains, valley and at the end of the day a gorgeous sunset. The menu is varied with a beutiful presentation by friendly and efficient servers. I ordered the Filet Mignon which was out of this world and I can't wait to go again and order the same thing. The wine is over the top delicious with many varietals to choose from.
Steak Bites, burgers and fries are delish! We wanted to try the filet mignon but its not served on weekends. Next time! We sat in the patio and it was nice and cool and service was great. California Chardonnay was also really good. The steak bites and wine were our fav.
Nice place. Wonderful view. Great staff. Varied menu. Pleasant music. My wife enjoyed the wine selection and the beer was a welcome surprise. Potentially a perfect wedding venue. Good times !
Went there in the afternoon to celebrate our anniversary. Was first time trying their bistro. We checked in for our reservation and were invited to do wine tasting at their bar first before starting our meal. After the tasting we requested and were given an outdoor table. The view was awesome, and the weather was perfect. The staff was courteous and professional. The only reason for 4 stars is while seated outside we were forgotten about a couple times and had to go inside to summon the waitress. Next, a heads up, the restaurant did not honor our $20 certificate given to us by Opentable when using our points. Thankfully Open table reissued our points back to us, but we were expecting this discount on our meal. Not clear why the restaurant could not honor the certificate. Lastly, over the years when celebrating our anniversary at different restaurants, we usually are offered a little anniversary amenity or a complimentary dessert to add to our dining experience to help celebrate the special occasion. There’s no special treatment at this place, which we gave them a pass because this place is more of a winery than a restaurant. Nonetheless, the artisan cheese fruit plate we had was good. And our entrees were tasty. Locals are indeed lucky to have this venue as an option in the area to enjoy decent wine and food with beautiful views.
Wine and view was great...bbq not so great...ribs were fatty and undercooked.
For this visit we went to celebrate my husbands birthday, and it was incredible as always!!! We absolutely love this place!!! Beautiful and cozy, and you can see how passionate the owner is about the wine and the different events he hosts. We highly recommend this place. It’s worth the drive and absolutely stunning!!
First time at this winery. Food and atmosphere we're excellent. Will definitely go back.
When I visit in Lincoln Hills I think of Wise as my favourite place to eat.
Love coming there as it’s a special place.
