I dined at this place few years ago and I ordered the whole duck and another duck dish, which at that time I was not impressed with ant of the dishes.
This time I asked for recommendations from my faithful waiter "Herman", and here what we tried:
Garden Dim Sim: An edible Art
Sichuan Beef Short Rib: No One on Earth can top this dish, a meat that melts in your mouth and does not need any chewing, Prepared with PERFECTION. A must try... honesty
My second favorite dish is the "Braised Seafood Curry Rice"; really the best I ever tried, and I tried plenty.
My favorite Sake is "Soto Junmai Daiginjo". Served chilled. Very smooth and not dry nor sweet.
Service is top notch. Ambience is great. Price matches the perfected dishes.
Food was excellent
Peking duck tableside fantastic
Morello Cherry dessert was fabulous
Best restaurant in Las Vegas
Excellent in every way.
Paul was amazing! The food and service were exceptional. The Peking Duck and the Truffle Soup Dumplings were out favorite dishes of the night.
I am very pleased with my visit at Wing Lei. A true 5 star Dinning experience . And ladies, no need to wonder what to do with your purse. They offer a tiny chair, beautifully upholstered for it to rest on next to your table.
The lamb chops were flavorful and tender, a reason alone to return.
Finally an elegant, classy and adult Dinning experience.
Amazing food, service and experience!
Lovely place , and one of the best restaurants in the world. Highly recommended.
Flawless execution of food, service was good not great, but not even close to what is expected at 5 star restaurant. No Management insight and the restaurants lack of even trying to deal with a large table in the back corner who were loud and screaming and disturbing all of the tables around them was extremely disappointing. We saw 2 tables leave complaining about the noise. If Forbes was in the restaurant tonight this restaurant would have lost a star, no question.
My husband and I ate at Wing Lei in the Wynn for dinner on Sunday, August 1, 2021. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM and were seated immediately upon arrival.
First of all, I was in awe of the restaurant itself - it is exquisite! Very elegant, beautiful, and truly a work of art! The lovely outdoor shrubbery lit by a delicate glow through the floor-to-ceiling windows was hard to look away from. The clientele was mostly couples - fitting since Wing Lei is the perfect date-night restaurant. (You definitely should wear dressier attire or you will probably be uncomfortably underdressed.)
We started off with two cocktails, Lychee Blossom Martini ($17) for me and Dragon's Treasure ($17) for my husband. Delicious! Ordered appetizers consisting of the Chilled Vegetable Roll ($18.88) and Honey BBQ Spare Ribs ($21.88). The Chilled Vegetable Roll was amazing with an unexpected pop of heat after each bite. I've never had anything like that elsewhere. My husband said the spare ribs were seasoned and cooked very well and he was pleased with his choice.
For entrees, I ordered the Cantonese Vegetable Chow Mein ($26.88) and a side of brown rice ($6.88) and my husband ordered the General Tao's Chicken ($35.88). Everything was freshly made and delectable with great flavors.
I forgot to get a picture of the miniature tower that was brought out with an assortment of six petite desserts (apparently complimentary with the meal). Very nice touch!
In summary, expect a purely elegant dining experience considering that Wing Lei is the first Chinese restaurant in North America to earn a Michelin star. Service was exceptional, the presentation was wonderful, and the atmosphere was very sophisticated. If the restaurant was short-staffed in any way, there were absolutely no signs of it. I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Wing Lei, just be sure to make a reservation in advance!
Absolutely amazing!!! The food, ambience, and staff were so gracious. Highly recommend!
BEST ASIAN FINE DINING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!! This is definitely my new spot for special occasions and whenever the mood arises. The ambiance was absolutely beautiful and the staff so caring and attentive. THE FOOD WAS SUPER FRESH and probably the BEST in Las Vegas!
Extra bonus was the “purse stool” provided!!! Love it!!
Absolutely outstanding experience from the decor and ambiance, the world class service and attention to detail, the depth of flavor is incredible, and the presentation is a work of art. It exceeded my high expectations and I will certainly be back!
I booked our reservation as a birthday. I confirmed our reservation as a birthday. I later reserved our imperial tableside duck by telephone as a birthday. Wing Lei did nothing to celebrate our birthday. Two tables over however there was dessert and candles, but by this time we had already eaten our desserts and had our check. We were quite disappointed in this missed detail.
Actually, the service was 7 stars.
Everything about this restaurant over delivered. The atmosphere is beautiful, complete with outdoor native foliage and flowers. The servers are kind, well educated, and extremely knowledgeable…..and the food was exceptional!
Just top notch.
Worthy of michelin star quality. Care and attention to each dish. Impeccable service and knowledgeable staff. Chef is an extraordinary talent! We will be back!
Everytime I came to Vegas I would visit Wing Lei. I have visited this restaurant for so many times and year over year the quality and creativity of food here just continue to disappoint me. Probably will not come back again after all these years.
I came to Wing Lei for my birthday dinner and ordered the duck tasting menu. Every course was amazing and the attention to detail was superb. The staff were all very kind and attentive and the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. Dress code is enforced — which is very refreshing in Vegas! Overall it was an amazing dinner and I will definitely be back.
Visited recently on a trip with my wife. Enjoyed multiple appetizers and drinks before our entrees. Everything was excellent and then we ended with an amazing dessert, no misses on this menu it’s all top notch.
Fabulous food, wonderful service & per my spouse, the "Sparkling Blossom " cocktail is her favorite!
Wonderful vibe, food & service. So glad we were able to get a reservation here. A lovely way to end our weekend Vegas getaway. 10/10
Amazing food and experience
This definitely seems to be a case of “the emperor has no clothes”.
This place is consistently well regarded in Las Vegas restaurant reviews, but clearly isn’t up to the standards of its supposed peers
We ordered the Imperial Duck tasting menu with the associated wine pairings and started with a cocktail
The cocktails arrived, mine was actually the wrong cocktail, which was discovered after my first sip.
The duck is presented table side and the first course, a very good and simple version of mu shu duck was very good
They then wheel the duck away, ostensibly to keep serving you from the same duck.
Salad course with duck and truffle dressing was good, if very over dressed.
The remaining courses, shu mai (dull and uninteresting even for a run of the mill dim sum restaurant) and duck with eggplant (uninspired and very mushy) were adequate for take out food at best.
The dessert plate was actively terrible
The service was very uneven and odd. We had a server at the beginning introduce herself and manage our service for a couple courses, but then we saw her leave the restaurant- apparently for the night. Likewise others servers began to disappear until it was really just two people serving as the restaurant emptied. So strange
In addition to disappointing food and odd service, the wine pairings were anywhere from undrinkable to just ok.
The sommelier tried to pick odd and unusual wines that seldom worked. One, a “natural” wine was akin to wine your neighbors might make and give you a bottle. Terrible. The domestic Pinot noir was just bad. Perhaps the only pairing which worked as a match to the food was a very strange Italian Riesling, which honestly tasted nothing like a Riesling, but was effective at least as a pallet cleanser between bites.
I’ve been to very sophisticated Asian restaurants (mainly in San Francisco) that are excellent and worth the price. This is definitely NOT one of those places
Wing Lei is a must when in Las Vegas. No doubt some of the best Chinese food outside mainland China!
Peking duck is great, the service top notch, unparalleled dining room environs of any other Chinese restaurant, you need to find the time to experience Wing Lei.
Outstanding !!!! Best Chinese food period
Everything was exceptional at the restaurant.
MY husband and I both are Vegetarians - we had the veggie dimsums, gardein chickn, eggplant and veggie fried rice.
Service was exceptional by Dan Bee...always kept smiling and had the best recommendations for us!
A wonderful dining experience . Detailed, attentive service, delicious crafted cuisine and a delightful environment. The Peking Duck tasting dinner was fabulous and one of our best dinners in Las Vegas
The whole duck was amazing!!! I would highly recommend it. We also enjoyed the sweet & sour pork.
Wing Lei was amazing. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and he said it was the best Chinese food he had ever had (we eat out a lot!). Not only was the food excellent (the Sichuan Short Ribs were amazingly tender, no knife required, and the Chili Prawns were so flavorful. We started with two appetizers, both excellent: garlic shrimp spring rolls and dumplings). The service was also impeccable...the staff made a special occasion feel even more special. The menu is quite extensive for a fine dining restaurant so we definitely plan to go back on our next trip to Vegas...so many other things to try! I know it’s Vegas, but keep in mind they enforce a dress code...business casual (neat jeans are ok, but men must wear a collared shirt or polo; no exposed midriff and closed toe shoes for women). Very classy, but not stuffy. Definitely recommend!
La comida es extraordinaria, los tacos de patos son los mejores que he pedido.
First time and we loved the food. Service was attentive and outstanding!
Def one of the best chinese restaurants in the country. Did the signature menu. Everything was great. Ambiance was great and service was good.
This is easily one of the best restaurants in Vegas. The service was exquisite, the food unparalleled. We will be back!
Wowsza. Simply the best Chinese food I have eaten in the entire time I have lived in Las Vegas. Every dish knocked us out. The sea bass was ridiculous. Cooked perfectly. The hot and sour soup included SCALLOPS for heaven's sake! The server helped us find the perfect wine companion. Now, this place is pricey ... but, sheesh! Worth every penny.
The best Peking Duck in North America . The staffs were super attentive especially the manager Eddie. It was as if they can read your thoughts and knew what you were going to need. They anticipate your needs. The food was excellent. The Peking Duck price was a little more than Aria Blossoms and Bellagio Jasmine but it was well worth it. The skin was extra crispy and full of aroma and flavors of Peking Duck. The meat was well flavored and juicy. I used to think Decoy from NYC had the best Peking Duck but Wing Lei just took that title . The Dungeness Crab crispy fried in Sampan spice was outstanding. The aromas of the spice and the sweet juiciness of the crabs will excite your tastebuds. It was exciting to take each bite of the meat with the crispy crunchy slightly sweet /salty/spicy crabs . The Crab Avocado mango salad was one of their signature appetizer dish. The perfect blend of the crab/avocado/mango with truffle yuzu sauce was refreshing to say the least ! Just imagine all those flavors mixed together in perfect harmony. Need I say more? I came to the restaurant on Friday night and the Peking Duck was sold out. So I made a point of coming back Saturday for an early dinner and the Peking duck did not disappoint. I would totally coming back for dinner Again and Again and Again!!!
You know when there are many Asians eating at a Chinese Restaurant, that the food is probably good. Not only was it good, it was great. The staff worked in brilliant coordination and the food presentation was outstanding. Will definitely go back.
Food was phenomenal / service marginal and disinterested
Was quiet because no one as there. Not worth your time or money.
Fantastic food and service was first class!
