About Wing Lei
At Wing Lei, rising star chef Ming Yu masterfully blends the flavors of China with Western technique to create a singularly delicious cuisine. Its just one delectable reason this is the only Chinese restaurant in North America to be recognized with the prestigious Forbes Five-Star Award. The seduction begins as you enter this exotic space, dressed in glimmering glass, tiger onyx, mother-of-pearl and gold accents. The décor, with its curved lines and rich gold accents, is meant to evoke the idea of 1930’s Shanghai. Every inch of this restaurant has been meticulously planned and lovingly crafted, from the ultra-plush, deep tapestry chairs and to the gold-tipped black chopsticks that grace the table settings. Large picture windows look onto a charming outdoor garden, replete with two 100-year old pomegranate trees. Despite all of the grandeur, the haute Chinese menu remains the focus, with its luxurious mix of Cantonese, Shanghai and Sichuan specialties.

We went there before the show at Wynn. And we were very happy about our choice. The restaurant is very good, the food is delicious and healthy. It is expensive but it worth it. Good for a date or special occasion. Beautiful interior and very professional service.
Love desserts there. They are not so sweet and artificial like in most restaurants in America.
We felt good in our stomachs even after 3 course dinner. It means that chef uses only fresh and good quality ingredients.
We would definitely recommend this place to our friends.
First time here this past weekend. Food is delicious and you get a decent size portion for the price. I'm not a fish eater but my husband ordered the 3 cup sea bass and it was amazing. Service was impeccable. Everything was timely and the staff gave a description of everything.
We will return again sometime.
Food was well prepared. Multiple dishes were prepared to perfection, but the star was the braised tofu which was quite possibly one of the best Chinese dishes I've ever had. Service was white glove, prompt and attention was paid to fine details. Cocktails were excellent, prepared as expected and significantly above average for the price.
We went for birthday celebration. From the moment you get at the door the hostess, the maitre and all the staff are very kind, knowing everything from their exquisite dishes. Sitting by the window we enjoyed a beautiful garden view. The whole ambiance is and decor is great.
Everything at Wing Lei was outstanding, from the dim sum to table side service of the duck and the majestic 100 year old pomegranate tree. Our let down came with the service. The hostess seeming annoyed for seating us was the least of the issues. You can clearly see how not everyone gets the same level as service. That is a true shame and a testament to why they only have a One Star. It was well over 45-50 minutes for our appetizers/amuse to come out. That’s acceptable too, however when parties are being seated after us and they receive exceptional service not to mention getting their food prior to us, we started to question. The duck was a gold standard and the orange crepes paired nicely. The server cutting was exciting to watch until our server came and pushed her out of the way for taking too long, really rubbed us wrong. Finally when we had asked the server if it’s a whole duck he says yes however we were only cut and served maybe a quarter of that duck. Guess where the rest of the duck went?! It’s used for an appetizer for the next table 10 minutes later. A shame a Michelin level establishment is cutting corners like that. With that being said, never judge a book by a cover is my motto and Wing Lei surely does. Next time we will try Chef Joel or anywhere but Wing Lei.
We have dined at Wing Lei regularly for years and stopped going 2 years ago because of the declining food experience. Thought we’d try again and were pleasantly surprised and genuinely happy that we did try again. The space has been completely redesigned to a polished sophistication, the staff, attentive and professional. Food quality was outstanding. Cocktails might need a bit of work, had classic martinis and the glasses were too dainty. A beautiful glass makes the experience better.
Overall it was wonderful and will go back next week.
This was at the top of our dining list this Vegas trip, particularly as we were staying at the Wynn. We had the appetizer sampler. The ribs and the shrimp toast were both very good, but the standout dish was the fusion cold app crab salad with avocado-- excellent! For the main course we had the hand-pulled noodles (very flavorful but they were a little soft, not quite as toothsome as I am accustomed to), the three cup sea bass (excellent) and the the braised pork belly (also excellent). Despite what some might regard as small-ish portions, we were extremely satisfied at the end of the meal and so did not try any of the desserts. We are from Seattle which is fortunate to have a world class food scene in general and excellent Asian restaurants in particular, and I have been a lifelong diner in the International District. With above average experience with Chinese and other Asian cuisines, I can recommend Wing Lei without hesitation and look forward to dining there again on our next visit to Las Vegas.
In an attempt to find a flaw in this restaurant, I fail miserably. This was one of the finest Chinese restaurant meals I've ever had. From ambiance, to service, to plating, to taste ... everything was impeccable. I will definitely return on my next visit to Las Vegas.
We ate at wing lei in 2015 and it was phenomenal. Because of this we came back last Friday for my 50th birthday dinner. We were very disappointed. The food was ok, and the service was not good at all. One of the biggest disappointments was the fact that I got a remimder call 2 hours before our meal, and a stern reminder that there is a dress code and collared shirts are required. We had 4 tables around us that had men wearing T shirts. Very disappointing. My wife was offended by the table near us of men swearing as well. All in all for $300 dinner for two it was a huge disappointment. We will not return or recommmend Wing Lei.

A disappointing meal. Our hopes were high as the restaurant claims to have a Michelin star. The food and service were fine, but that’s about it. My husband has a couple of food sensitivities and the restaurant was really poor at providing alternatives. There are so many great restaurants in LV— there’s no reason to settle for one that is very overpriced and not all that good. Additionally, the lighting and decor were quite stark.
