It was my wife’s birthday weekend. Her meal came with a bordelaise sauce that contained mushrooms. She does not like the flavor of mushrooms so we requested no sauce. But the request was ignored and ultimately was an unpleasant experience. As she only had the salad. And was not able to eat with me.
The food was terrible. The steak is a fatty cut and the veggies, half were under cooked and the carrots were soaked in an overwhelming amount of cinnamon or something. Great service though. Our waiter was a nice kid named Thunder.

Nice place. Our steaks were ordered medium rare and medium. They came out very rare and very medium rare lol. They were great about substitutions! Steaks could use some seasoning. Sad when expensive cuts of meat are bland. Their sides were great! Overall experience was nice. 😊
The only negative is they are only open Friday and Saturday.
Very poor service. Staff was forgetful and seemed overwhelmed, with only 5 or 6 tables full of people in the entire place at that time. Food was tasty but very overpriced, considering the lack of service. Will not be going back.
I will say the service was good, our waitress was very nice and checked in with us multiple times. The food was good, nothing amazing despite the price. We did find a hair in our sour cream for the potato and noticed on our way out two chefs in the kitchen that had beards. We probably would not have noticed if we didn't find that hair. We didn't complain about it given how sweet our waitress was, we just chose not to eat it as it was served on the side. Also we overheard the kitchen staff or another server complaining about some customers that had recently left. Didn't hear all the details but it was loud enough to get the jist of the conversation. We are very easy going about things so it didn't bother us, but can only imagine what other customers would think if they had the same experience.
Food is always so great, but the new server isn’t. The bread is awesome always warm. The server was always talking to the hostess and not serving. Drinks were refilled too late.
Outstanding food, price was average. Jacob and his crew do an outstanding job , period.
This was a great discovery. By far the best restaurant in Cripple Creek. Especially to get a delicious steak. Great service and atmosphere.
Winfields is a wonderful getaway from the noisy casino. Very excellent food and service. My husband really enjoyed his birthday dinner!
Jacob was our waiter, he was amazing. Took care of all our needs and more. This will be my restaurant of choice in Cripple Creek from now on.
Best restaurant in Cripple Creek by a long shot. Food, ambience and service are unequalled in Teller County.
Went up to cripple creek for a nice steak dinner. It was ok nothing to special. Would I go back possibly. It was very difficult to find my way around the casino to get to the Winfield’s it was not well marked. But overall it was an ok experience.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding!
Wer had a great meal and a good time. Our server was attentive. The food was wonderful. The service was fast enough. We enjoyed a nice, relaxing meal
The ambience was so nice along with really yummy food and great customer service. Our waiter was one of the best that I truly have ever had dining out. Great place!
Excellently cooked steak, delicious desert, excellent wait staff, Jacob is excellent.
Service was excellent! Food was pretty good. Two steak dinners and 1 tea was around $65.00.
Amazing service and the food is wonderful! A great hidden gem in Cripple Creek.
Everything was wonderful! However, we sat at a table for two next to the wall. The wall had drink and food spatters covering the portion closest to the table. I'm surprised an employee hadn't noticed. Clean the wall and the experience would be perfect!
I took my wife hear for our anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. A little pricey but worth every penny. The food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was fabulously romantic. Superb service. We will be back!
We walked a long way to find out that they were closed!
Was great. Hope and jish were awesome. We celebrated mother in laws birthday. It was aawesome.
I wish I remembered our waiters name (bald gentleman). He was probably one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Just the right level of touch, knee when to engage and when to hold back.
Food was great and the atmosphere is perfect.
The food was warm, fresh, tasted great, and was served timely. Service was outstanding.
Food was amazing, as was wait staff especially waiter, Jeremy...very positive, energetic, enthusiastic great customer service
Great food great service we will definitely be back
Food was ok only. Server was very friendly. Not sure is dated or if they are going for vintage look. Needs a good deep cleaning.
Service was great (thanks, Hope!). Seafood pasta was not the best nor the worst I've ever had. If we go again, I would try a steak. Good ambience and very nice employees all around. Well done.
The overall experience was really good. Service was perfect and main entrees were well seasoned. The disappointments were that though the table was clean, the seat was dirty and gritty. Filet and chicken were cooked perfectly, but the veggies were disappointing. Three Baby carrots looked like the bagged carrots we but ourselves and the asparagus was over cooked. Grilled zucchini or something creative instead of baby carrots would have been nice. But, that said we were impressed with the service and meats were cooked perfectly.
The waiter Justin is amazing, taking very good care of us all. He is friendly, caring and goes beyond necessary to make sure you are well served and happy.
Only reason I did a 4 on overall experience is the hostess was pretty slow in getting our check processed and bringing back the slip to be signed.
This is the second time I have been to Winfield's. I took my sister for her birthday celebration and was not disappointed. The food is OUTSTANDING and the employees are all WONDERFUL and friendly. We had such a great time and we had to thank the Chef after our meal just to let him know how perfect everything was. I will continue to go back as much as I can.
This was a terrific restaurant that is not well advertised...no signage outside the casino where it is located and little signage inside the casino. We happened to stumble upon it but had to explore to find it in the basement!
Food was great (filet and baked potato with a decadent chocolate cake for dessert) and Jacob provided excellent service (he was gracious, friendly and had a great sense of humor!).
We would recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting the Cripple Creek/Victor area!
The service and staff were awesome however the food did not taste very good and the portions were very small for the price. The cake we had was dry and no flavor. The food was not the high quality it was the last 2 times we dined there I do not intend to return.
Total experience was wonderful, our waiter and busboy were both attentive. We love the atmopshere.
Tucked away underneath the casino, but romantic booths and nicely prepared food. Jacob was an incredible server.
Winfield's was and always is a great place to get a good meal. We always try to eat there when we stay at the double eagle. Have never had any complaints about food or staff.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding (Walter, our waiter, took great care of us).
Winfields is probably the second to last 'best' restaurant in the Creek. The Steak house is comparable. Sadly, for all its' attributes and excellent cuisine, the serving portions are insufficient. Without the basket of bread thankfully replenished, we'd still be hungry.
I hope you can overcome this problem, as there are few good chefs in the Creek. You have one of them. An idea would be to offer a small bowl of soup and salad.
Food was super, and our waiter Walter was very good.
