This was a quiet and ambient environment! The food was amazing! I tried the Alaskan king crab leg! Unbelievably tasty! The serving size could be a bit larger, but I really can’t complain. I would recommend this place to others.
This restaurant was the best option for us in Cripple Creek for dinner. For the price, I did expect more. Our appetizer came out at the same time as dinner entree, and the veggies on the entree plate were barely warmed. Everything tasted good, but the service and timing of the food seemed off.
Steak was over cooked, veggies were cold, crab cakes were terrible. Service was ok until they tried to charge me 100 dollars for something the manager had supposedly already taken care of. Winfields used to be the best place in town. Unfortunately it's not anymore.
Took a trip to Cripple Creek for a weekend getaway, made reservations for Winfield’s and Unfortunately we Should have just stayed where we were having a couple of beers and had food there instead!
The service at Winfield’s was decent, not great. The staff seemed rushed. Other tables came in after us, standing and waiting at the door, for at least 10 minutes, with no one greeting them, just to let them know it might take a couple minutes to be seated. We watched 3 different couples leave because no one talked to them. Our water took a while to be refilled and we were not asked about drinks a second round.
The menu looked good, a few more options would be great. I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. The steak came out rare as could be and cold to the touch. The steamed veggies that came with it were also cold. The chicken that we ordered was prepared well, but it also came out cold, thank goodness it was cooked properly. To send the steak back would have required an additional 30-40 minutes just from observing how slow and chaotic it was in the restaurant, even though they weren’t busy. I decided to take the steak with me, take it home and eat it later.
We ended up going to Bronco Billy’s and eating at the crippled cow! Much different experience and the pizza was AWESOME!!! Don’t spend the extra money at Winfield’s, it wasn’t worth it!
Food was good. Service was fast and friendly. The only downfall was that we weren't seated 6 feet from another couple seated after us.
We were PLEASANTLY surprised to find a really nice restaurant in Cripple Creek. Even more so, the food quality was excellent, which we didn't expect either. Our server was outstanding. We had a party of 10 and every one of us truly enjoyed the meal. Highly recommend!
Good food, good service, no waiting time. Drinks were well made.
The staff was very friendly but it took an hour to get our food and when it arrived it was cold. It took another 30 minutes to get it replaced. We had to keep asking for more water. We asked for more bread and the server then gave it to the wrong table. Overall it was very disappointing.
Went for an anniversary dinner and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and of a quality not expected for the price. The service was good even though it was busy. Will be back next time visiting Cripple Creek.
Menu is limited. Need more steak choices. Everything else was very good. Music wasn't good.
Good, good service. Will go again. Quiet and nice.
They came to our table pretty quick, after that not so much. Waited forever just to get drinks. When the food finally came out, the only thing that was hot of the 8 people was my baked potatoe.
The food was really bad, we had shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and the shrimp was so tough and the sauce was a gel. The rib eye steak was small, thin and very fatty. Also the chef used way to much garlic on all the entries. And I love garlic. The server was not very attentive to our table at all. Very disappointed in the restaurant. Will not go back there again.
Winfield’s is the best place in Cripple Creek to dine.
Wonderful restaurant. Food was great, very private and romantic atmosphere. It is super quiet, and we could listen to the nice piano music. Will definitely go again.
The steak was perfect and the portobello rice was fantastic..
Always a pleasant place to eat and the food is amazing. Thanks for a nice place to celebrate a special anniversary.
We enjoyed an awesome steak with a crab leg. The wine was great and dessert was wonderful. Service was on point and will definitely be back.
Food was great. Service was awful. There was some argument between the waiters over who was supposed to have our table. We waited over 20 min to be greeted and give our drink order. A table seated 15 minutes after us was greeted first. The long waits continued throughout the dinner (an hour and 45 minutes) I had to get up and ask the host for our check. No time to gamble and almost missed the fireworks. Pretty much the worst experience ever
One word..Terrible. Don't waste your money. Poor meat quality. I ordered Chicken Parm, chicken was breaded and came from a package not fresh and sauce came out of a can yikes, husband ordered ribbye and all fat, daughter had filet and it was gross. The staff has no clue how to serve, our waiter never brought over our drinks, I had to get up go to bar and ask for my wine and party's drinks. 3 people were at bar and said oh waiter never put in order, they did get us our drinks but waiter never said a word, he was busy making salads. Never refilled water, never asked if we wanted more drinks. We had a party of 4 and will never eat here again, go get a burger and save your money
In one word, adequate. Nothing about this place shocks and awes. The food was ok but wasn't impressive. Menu was good but everything was lack luster. Service was very slow considering there were only three tables at time. Felt like kitchen was just going threw the motions and didn't put in passion into their food. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. For the small town with limited options, it was adequate.
We were there to celebrate my mom’s 73 birthday. Her ribeye steak was very fatty and tough. When brought to the waiter’s attention he said he would bring it to the cooks attention without any other compensation. When we went to pay the cashier was shocked that this hadn’t been addressed and the waiter who was standing near said “ well it’s only my second week”. I understand the restaurants are just starting to open back up but that doesn’t excuse the fact of bad customer service.
All the fish dishes are great and a good value. Filet was outstanding. Veggies need improving.
Excellent service, food, and atmosphere! My friends also enjoyed this visit. They had never eaten here before and definitely want to return!
The food was very good and the steak cooked perfectly. The wait staff was super attentive. We would definitely go back
We celebrated a Birthday Dinner here and it was wonderful, once again. We have always had excellent staff and the chef never disappoints! If you are looking for a fine meal away from the bells and whistles, Winfield's is the place to eat.
Unfortunately we were disappointed. Steak was very tough and over cooked . they did not have the wine we ordered even though it was advertised. We were overcharged on our bill and their reply was "We do a hold on old bank accounts it will fall off after a few days" . Was so looking forward to a nice dinner with my husband after the fiasco with the hotel and check in. Our experience just sealed the deal of staying elsewhere next time.
Service was great, food was great, will definitely come back again, and will recommend to friends for sure.
Excellent choices, great service, ambiance good but maybe more privacy. Music is good but dated.
We were on a much needed date weekend...our time in your restaurant was very relaxing and Michael, our server, was outstanding
Had the filets. Cooked to perfection, excellrntquality. Will definitely be back.
First, the drinks were way too strong to drink. Second, I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out well done. The server was nowhere to be seen so by the time he made it around, my group was almost finished EATING. So, I had the steak comped since I didn't eat a single bite of it. Then, we go to pay and left a cash tip on the table ($20 on $90 so not even a bad tip considering our evening). I look at my account the next day and they added 20% to my bill. Now they won't answer there phone or call me back. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!
Dinner was wonderful!
Service was wonderful!
Wonderful evening with out of town guests .
The service wasn't to bad. I think they were short handed. Cause the manager was serving tables. I think, not totally sure. The food was bad. No flavor and my salmon tasted deep fried. My husband's steak tasted frozen. It's more of a place for drunk people to eat.
Not what we expected. Our waitress took our order ... then we never saw her again until she presented the bill. Disappointing.
One of the best Steaks ever! I like it very well done and for once I didnt have to send it back!
cooked just exactly the way I like it.
Will be returning!
The best kept secret in Cripple Creek! Best restaurant in town!
Salad didn't come with the meal - Salad was $7+ extra. Mismatched silverware. Pork Chop with baked potato was $21+ (We ordered the Pork chops as cheapest Meat on the menu - Largest steak was $33+ dollars). Desert was Carrot Cake & it was cold & tasted like it was in a refrigerater sitting next to something it shouldn't have been (it was definitely not fresh). Staff was wearing t-shirts & tennis shoes (I expected more professional dressing of the staff for the price I was paying). Over all I I will NEVER eat in this overpriced resturant again. It was so disapointing (especially taking my Father out to eat there on Father's day). They let us play a game called "Corn Hole" by the Bar to win prizes. all we both got was a rubber "Monster" Energy bracelet & a plastic "Coca Cola" bottle opener (Pathetic when they had better stuff to give us & I even made a bean-bag into the hole & my Dad didn't & we got the same two trinkets). This place should be ashammed of themselves for charging so much money for meals and providing so little food to people!!! Pathetic!!!
Very good food and the serving are awesome. Great value for the price. The staff were exceptional. Great experience and we will definitely go back.
It was my wife’s birthday weekend. Her meal came with a bordelaise sauce that contained mushrooms. She does not like the flavor of mushrooms so we requested no sauce. But the request was ignored and ultimately was an unpleasant experience. As she only had the salad. And was not able to eat with me.
