This was our 2nd time at the restaurant in a week. We had such an awesome meal we returned with another couple. The staff is so friendly and we love the atmosphere. Unfortunately they were out of salmon which is one of the dishes we returned for.... so husband had the mussels instead but was so disappointed about the salmon. I tried the sliders and they were very rare... only ate one of the three. Wasn’t a fan. The other couple both Had the chicken and raved About how tasty it was. We started with calamari, it was fresh and delicious. Would order again. Wine was excellent and our server was great. Get ready to wait between appetizers and entrees. Both visits we’ve experience a bit of a wait between courses... so be prepared. All in all we’re still fans and will return!
This is an excellent restaurant. You will have an outstanding meal and a great time!!! Just make sure you make reservations early as this place will fill p fast. But very rememberable!! Don't miss this place!!
We loved this restaurant and can’t wait to return! Service and food were excellent, definitely try the Brie fondue. My husband is a very picky salmon eater and LOVED his dish. The short rib was delicious. Our guests had mushroom bisque and mussels and both raves about their dishes. Only bummer is parking... make sure to valet as parking spaces are minimal!
Excellent! Would go again!
Great food and service!
The wine selection & multiple pour sizes made the drinking experience quite enjoyable. The appetizers, entrees & dessert options were wonderful. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow. This aspect of the dining experience is in major need of improvement.
Great food, great ambiance, good service, awful parking lot with too few spaces and no alternate options.
Nice place for a dinner date with the wife.
WE have visited many times and we have never had a bad experience. Staff has been trained well and are very accommodating.
Lovely ambiance, quiet, classy, romantic, unhurried, very cultured ( not for Orange County "bro's"), in short, very very civilized.
We had an excellent dinner here. It had been sometime since we had visited and I would say this trip was exciting and he food was lovely. Truly enjoyed the burger and short ribs. Will definitely be back
The food is always outstanding, fantastic wine collection with expert advice, ambience is like eating in a friends dining room, welcoming and comfortable.
Excellent food, but the ambiance and friendliness of owner Darren Coyle elevates both the restaurant and Dublin 4 past its competitors! One of our favorites!
Fabulous all around!
The sea bass was excellent but a little surprised that it came without anything on the sides. That wouldn’t be so unusual if there were small sides that could be ordered but there was only apps and small plates
The chicken “oyster” pasta was good but not great. I understand the mushroom appetizer was very good.
Excellent food and wine selection. Great for entertaining clients
Went there maybe 30-40 times in the last three years - never disappointed
Marvelous food, outstanding service, and lovely ambiance 💫
Made a reservation for standard seating on opentable and was sat at high top tables. Inquired about the seating reservation and was going to be moved but the owner never came back to move us. Then ordered the burger medium and it came out medium rare. It took over 30 min to get the entree remade. No one offered a discount, free glass of wine, free dessert, nothing.
I like this place but not sure if I will go back for awhile.
Lovely restaurant. Small but intimate - would be concerned if more people were in restaurant given how close tables were to each other. Excellent service from PJ - very attentive and professional in demeanor. We would certainly come back. Excellent singer also but mike was a little too loud!
My first time there and was happy to have tried it. Will try their sister restaurant next time.
It is so nice to have this restaurant so close to us. The food and wine are always delicious and the staff is so welcoming! Great service!
Love it! Great find in MIssion viejo, which is a culinary desert
This was my first time there and it was very nice! The owner greeted us and was very friendly. The food was wonderful as was the wine and the service! I would recommend it to everyone and I can't wait to go back again!
Great wine and food. Darren is amazing! Great service too!
Wineworks was chosen on-line as a midway point for a friends’ get-together but proved to be a real winner with cool but cozy ambience, delicious and interesting food, solicitous and cheerful service, and varied and wonderful wine...quite a delight!
I booked this for a fun but relaxed girls night out, elevated and mature setting with a local vibe.
Would absolutely recommend! Service was too notch, the owner was very helpful and polite, and the food was cooked perfect. We had the Brie and calamari for apps and lamb for our entree. They let us try a few of the wines before we purchase a bottle. They had a guitarist who was quite good, he happened to pay one of our favorite songs. Really great place!
This was our first visit on a recommendation and we certainly will be back. The staff could not be more pleasant. Wine by the glass options as well as by the bottle are excellent. Companion restaurant next door (Dublin 4 Gastropub) provides full bar service as well. The entrees our group enjoyed were the Short Rib Irish Stew (a special), Pan Roasted Mediterranean Seabass and the Cabernet Braised Creekstone Short Ribs. No one left disappointed.
It was fantastic, great greeting, table reserved, cozy spot, really comfortable chairs! Quiet and you could hear your company. The food was amazing, appetizers delicious- burrata bruschetta melt in your mouth, Caesar salad scrumptious dressing-loved it deconstructed, filet mignon and potatoes was the best I’ve had in a long time-the meat from creek side farms was so tasty!! Oh and the dessert lemon-blueberry bread pudding with a side of ice cream was spectacular and we ate every bite. We ordered and shared all food family style, big portions so totally possible. Would recommend to anyone who loves really quality food, with smiling attentive faces and a lovely adult atmosphere!! Can’t wait for my birthday!
My husband and I have been to this restaurant twice in the past 2 weeks for dinner and we adore this small locally owned restaurant. The food is delicious and the menu emphasizes farm to table produce. Their short ribs are fabulous as are their fresh fish entrees. It is now our favorite 'go to' place for a nice dinner. Reservations are highly recommended.
Food was a bit pricey but so well worth it. Will go again for sure!
Excellent lamb, best calamari & shishito peppers, fabulous service even when it's crowded & of course amazing wine selection!
The service was absolutely amazing. I called ahead and they made a flier especially for me and my mother. The food and wine paired perfectly and can I mention how delicious their Brussel sprout appetizer is? Definitely will go again!
Have been to Wine Works on many occasions -- will keep coming back. Darren and Jeanie are extremely personable and makes a special effort to make customers feel welcome and appreciated.
This was our first time at WineWorks and we loved it! This time there were 3 of us for my mother in law's birthday. We decided to share several things because the menu is so great! We started with the calamari and the foie gras. The calamari was very crisp and light. The foie gras was perfection and it is served with grilled pineapple which was an unexpected and delightful pairing. Then we had their caesar salad and a cheese plate, both wonderful. For entrees we had the bucatini with chicken and the burger. The burger is AMAZING!! Seriously the best burger any of us have ever had. The pasta was delicious, in a lovely red sauce with lovely moist chicken.
The really nice thing about this restaurant and Dublin 4 is that the owners are so very welcoming and personable.
Wineworks is a great place. The service is outstanding as are the wines and the atmosphere. The display of the wines was inventive and very attractive. It is a very small place, so seating was a bit tricky. We were right by the front door, but a screen blocked us from view. The food was delicious, but the portions were small for the men at our table. Several appetizers solved that problem. All in all, we had a wonderful time and will return for another dinner experience.
Great dinner with my husband - our server was knowledgeable about the entrees, such as the difference between Chilean Sea Bass and Mediterranean Sea Bass, and she was very attentive and efficient. Also, upon arrival, there was a welcome letter with our name on it waiting for us at our table! (Nice touch!)
Wineworks for Everyone is consistently excellent in all points.
