Winewood Ratings and Reviews
Good ambiance, service and food. Lamb was fantastic; lobster and shrimp raviolis ok, not great.
Surprised how empty the restaurant was on a Friday night, for all the good things about this restaurant is should be hopping. Good modern vibe, nice bar, and very reasonably priced compared to other date-night restaurants.
I have eaten here many times and have always been pleased with food, service and atmosphere. I made reservations for friends visiting in the area and they loved it. There have been times when groups get a little to noisy but that is a hit or miss. Would be nice if they could be situated away from the center of the main dining area but it's not a deal breaker.
First off our server, Christopher, made us feel welcome and important in a relaxed and engaging manner. His wine recommendation proved to be excellent and his attentiveness and service likewise. The tenderloin fillet was tender and flavorful and cooked just as ordered. The chocolate ganache was the "cherry on top" of a great meal.
I was looking for a spot to meet up with a friend that lives in the fort worth area. Winewood was the perfect half way point for both of us. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice as well. Will have to try the bottomless mimosas next time. Highly recommend!
We visit here fairly regularly and are huge fans of the menu. The cocktails are outstanding and winelist will not leave you wanting. If you like calamari, you will LOVE it here. Tried many items off the menu, all are great. Service can be a little slow, but always respectful and good.
It was our first time at Winewood (wife, 19 yo son) and had a very good experience. The food was really good starting with the calamari appetizer as were the entrees - trout, salmon and prime rib special. We also got a dessert when we normally don't . Forget the name...... Chocolate dome. Service was right on as well. Very timely and no misses at all. The half price wine on Sunday's is great too!
Good location. a little dark making the menu hard to read. bread appetizer was good,. main entrees were good - my son loved the salmon - says best he ever had. my cordon bleu was pretty good. also ordered the steak filet; good but not great extremely tender. very good service. had to pay for bread - many places serve bread as complimentary. no wait, walked right in, and was seated immediately.
We dined here for Mother's Day. I was so looking forward to splurging and ordering the infamous cinnamon roll as an appetizer. They were sold out! Sold out before noon for Mother's Day brunch??? What a let down. To top that off, my husband's salmon was overcooked and so dry that it was like a brick. However, my daughters chicken and waffles were very tasty and so was my benedict. We also had a good waiter, Joshua. P.S. bring a sweater.
A great place for brunch!! Bottomless mimosas are a must and Winewood gives 3 flavor options. The brunch menu offers traditional breakfast items and lunch items, both with lots of seafood options. I am gluten free and they will modify most dishes! The server was very knowledgable about the menu and very nice. Can't wait to go back!
Extremely loud. Great look and feel inside, but the noise level borders on unacceptable. Food and wine list is excellent -- pricey, but excellent. Food took over an hour to get, but we had a new server, so we'll chalk this up to the onboarding process. Manager stopped by, but seemed disgruntled and more interested in getting on with his day instead of taking care of us.
Overall a spot with delicious food, wine, and ambiance... if it isn't busy.
Once again, Winewood did not disappoint. Two of us got the seabass and it was outstanding. The prime rib was also prepared to perfection. We were there to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Our server brought us a couple of birthday desserts for the table. Nice touch!
AC seems to be blasting on the patio every time we eat out there. I prefer that over the main dining room but feel like I need to bring a jacket when it's a wonderful 75 degrees out. Waitress had someone turn it down but took nearly half the meal for the temp to correct. Love the food and New old fashions
A couple from Bridgeport came to visit us in Grapevine, and they raved about the gouda-and-bacon Mac & Cheese. We all liked our entrees (trout, roasted chicken, lobster ravioli, and herb-crusted chicken), and our red and white wines were delicious and perfectly matched to our preferences by our with-it waiter, Ethan. He described various dishes and the evening's features, and he made them all sound heavenly.
Great service. We have been to this restaurant twice in the past year. We visited them again list last Friday.
On our food is very wonderful. We ordered a cheese board as an appetizer. This came with 3 tasty cheeses, bread/crackers, fruit, dried fruit. Enough to feed 4 people, and were just on our regular Friday night date for 2. They have great service, a detailed wine list, sorry we didn't try any...but even the presentation of keeping our water glasses filled was done with talent.
The only thing I found kind a little disturbing was the creative upselling done by the staff while ordering our entrees. When ordering, we were a asked which salad we would like with our meals, but not indication was made this was not included with our meal price. Winewood has trained their staff well in this area but not kind to the patrons that only visit occasionally.
This is very pretty restaurant, great place to sit back and enjoy time with your spouse.
A good tip.... they DO take reservations on OPEN TABLE!!
My husband, mother and I went to Winewood to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful experience. We arrived early to have a drink at the bar. The bartenders and staff were engaging, eager to offer suggestions, and happy hour prices were good. Once seated in the dining room, our waiter was equally as knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious, the noise level was decent so that you could actually carry on a conversation, and the service was outstanding. We will definitely return to this restaurant. Thanks for a great birthday, Winewood!
I love going to Winewood. The menu and food are fantastic, the atmosphere is comfortable, elegant and understated. It is a wonderful place to go for conversation. This visit, our server was Ariana. The service could not have been better. She was so accomodating, friendly, and unobtrusive. We will reserve with her next time.
