Winewood Ratings and Reviews
Food was good, made reservations thru Open Table, they called to confirm the day before and said they would find a quite table as requested. Table was in back of restaurant next to kitchen!!!! Won't be back here - guess Open Table doesn't mean much either
Fantastic food! We splurged on one of the specials and couldn't have been more happy.
Brought our teenagers with us and they loved the food and atmosphere just as much! Our waiter was fantastic and wish I remembered his name. He kept up with the jokes and the kids. Definitely will be back, even if it's an hour drive away!!!
A group of us went for Saturday brunch. It is a beautiful restaurant. However, our waitress was not very friendly and seldom came to check on us. We had to ask a manager to find her so we could place our order. The coffee was not hot. Our food was a good temperature but had absolutely no taste; not even when added salt & pepper. The dressing for the spinach salad was very thick and would not spread over the salad. The bacon was burnt. Not a good dining experience.
Food is modest in quality and not consistent with pricing
Extremely inappropriate service. Our party of five had reservations at 545. When seated our server immediately told us they had a following reservation at 730. We felt this was strange as we just sat down. We continued with our meal. During our meal and a third time when we ordered dessert our server again told us about a reservation following ours at 730pm.
Very unprofessional considering we sat down at 545, was not approached to order until 6pm and we finished our meal and dessert at 715pm.
We dine out frequently and never encountered such service. Our final bill was over $500 and to have this kind of service was extremely off putting. There are many choices next door to this place and in DFW and southlake and grapevine. Stay clear of this place. They are obviously trying to run this like a fastfood joint I presume and charging michelin 3 star prices.
The food was excellent, the sea bass is definitely the best fish I can get in the metroplex. We were seated out on the veranda which was heated and actually quieter than the main dining room which can get a bit noisy when busy. Our waiter was very friendly but was clearly overwhelmed with a large table. Have eaten there many times, lunch or diner, Business or with family, would highly recommend.
Food was wonderful. Our server was polite but was not attentive at all. We had send a search party to find him to clear plates, take dessert order, get the check etc. and remind him it was a 50th Birthday even though i stressed that upon making reservation AND Confirming the day before. The place was basically empty so not sure where he was disappearing to? I’ve been here many times and always love the food and service but this time I can only rave about the food. It was excellent as usual!
Dark interior. Food was average at best. Service was polite but not attentive at the not busy 130-330 pm weekday time. We sampled the sea bass their standard way and Oscar, ahi tuna, chicken salad and the Mac and cheese. Of those Mac and cheese was very good. The rest not. My sea bass was cooked ok but served on a cold risotto type pasta. The lemon cake dessert was good. The apple crisp was outstanding.
Would not recommend this restaurant.
Previously visited this restaurant and the food was great. However, on this last visit 2 of the 4 dinners were undercooked. One was a steak that was requested as medium and was rare and the second entree was roasted chicken that was raw and cool to the touch. The steak was "re-heated" and was satisfactory the chicken was rubbery and overcooked. The manager was kind enough to comp those two meals, but we will not be returning.
I wouldn't recommend this place. The atmosphere is very nice but that's about where it ends. At some point during the meal, our waiter stopped taking care of us and started helping another table while another waiter jumped in and was now our waiter.
The wine was nice but VERY pricey for the quality. The main meal (sea bass) was bland and unimaginative although it was cooked nicely. The risotto wasn't really risotto, it was just basically a saffron rice. There was no creaminess or luxuriousness of a normal risotto. Overall, disappointed in this whole meal.
One glass of wine, one main dish, and one appetizer totaled $85. Definitely not worth it!
