Winewood Ratings and Reviews
My new favorite brunch place. Three dollar mimosas includes various juices. They also have $3 frose and bloody Mary's. I fell head over heels in love with the crab and lobster Benedict. Atmosphere is very modern, with wood beam ceilings and glass fireplaces around a live bassist. It was wonderful
I was going to order a pasta dish, asked the waitress if it was good and was told it was "OK". She said if I wanted to taste what the "Chef was known for" then I needed to get the steak/seafood. So, instead of paying $22 for a pasta dish, I paid $56 for a steak and shrimp that was just ok - I've had better and paid far less. Don't think I'll be back if the Chef isn't able to make a chicken/shrimp/pasta dish taste better than ok.
Service was outstanding. The waiter did a great job. The restaurant was crowded and therefore very loud. My friend and I both had the Lobster and Crab Benedict. It was not remarkable and came out cold. The lobster and crab must have been in the refrigerator. Neither one of us would get it again.
WW is one of our favorite restaurants..took friends today. Service and atmosphere were both great. Food was a bit disappointing...I had rack of lamb...lamb was chewy, a bit tough and difficult to cut...not very good. Sea Bass was not cooked properly.. doneness was inconsistent throughout... risotto not good....very disappointed!
We’ve been to Winewood at least a hand full of times and they never disappoint.
Excellent service, polite waitstaff and friendly hosts.
The food is why we keep coming back though. Get the calamari for an appetizer, it’s fantastic. No octopus here! Ribeye for the main course comes with shrimp and delicious house augratin potatoes. It can’t be beat.
If it’s nice outside, opt for their patio or indoor patio. Both provide a great dining experience.
I have dined at Winewood about 6 times over the last few years. There was 4 of us . Two of our main entrees had cold spots. Parts of our food was cold and parts where warm. It is like they where microwaved but did not heat completely and had hot spots. We went ahead and ate it instead of sending back because we wanted to eat with the others. This is the first time it happened here and so wondering if there has been a change in the kitchen. Overall the food was good, but half my meal I ate cold.
Met friends and family for post-holiday get-together. The food was really good and our server was excellent. It was a quiet afternoon, so the manager even allowed us to play a few games after lunch. We shared several bottles of wine and dessert....perfect gathering!!
Great food, nice ambiance, and adequate service. The only reason this venue did not receive 5 stars is because it took the kitchen over an hour to get the food ready. It was a busy evening (Christmas Eve) so the wait was somewhat expected. Would recommend to others.
My business friend suggested Winewood because of his prior experience there. This was my second visit, the first visit also at the suggestion of another business friend. Excellent menu options leaning more toward dinner than lunch. Lunch salad selections were varied and the two different salads my friend and I ordered were excellent and just the right amount of lunch food! Our waiter never forgot us and was always watching for any service need but not distracting. Great ambiance. Warm and inviting interior. Noise can get loud enough to make conversation less pleasant but not impossible. Location is great for lunch in the mid-cities of the Fort Worth-Dallas metroplex.
We were in town for Christmas so we had a party of 10 celebrating seeing family To begin with our server was not only stand offish but surly and indifferent. Every question was met with a shrug of the shoulders. He didn’t seem proficient in the menu as I asked if my daughter could have a burger and he said they don’t serve them yet they have them on the children’s menu. He never returned with drinks as ordered. The server wouldn’t the reason for not returning
Been here several times. Always a good experience, however this night was not
Ordered the bacon wrapped green beans, after they were served discovered they had cheese added on top (I don’t eat cheese)
Asked if we could get an order without cheese.
Received the replacement order which obviously the kitchen scrapped off the cheese and broiled the same order. There was melted cheese within the dish
Makes me wonder what other short cuts would that kitchen take?
Sad having to deal with that lack of concern for the customer
