Nothing to say about this place. Small, crowded and noisy. Maybe good for a quick glass of wine. Nothing in the menu caught our eye.
We didn't eat here. When we showed up for our reservation the restaurant was closed. We confirm our reservation and never receive a notice that they would be closed.
Food was very good; did not disappoint. Our waiter was attentive once they realized we'd been seated, but it was clear that the restaurant wasn't well organized/run from a service-waitstaff perspective. All the tables around us also waited for menus, drinks, orders, etc. We were in no rush, so it was ok, but certainly not ideal.
We were in town on vacation staying at the Sheraton and found Wine On Third On line. What a pleasant surprise: great atmosphere , good food, good music, great fun. Went back twice!
Some of the best dry whites we have had, stopped in just on a whim and ended up buying 6 bottles
Awesome cosmopolitan’s at cute bar made by Sinead, who was also our server, mussels and beef on a weck eggrolls to start. Two pizzas, risotto, and salmon for dinners. Risotto was delicious. Salmon could have been cooked a little more, but was good. Good wine selection, excellent service. Live entertainment which was nice.
The French onion soup and steak was amazing! The waitress was on top of her game and very friendly. Would 100% go back again!
Amazing food and atmosphere
Great food and great service. Highly recommended.
A little gem and by far one of the best places to eat on the US side. Wonderful service, delicious small bites and great pizza.
What a gem! The food was excellent! We tried the roasted tomato mozzarella, the hungarian peppercakes, the shrimp romesco and the beef on weck rolls (local favorite) and all were terrific! The wine selection is varied and I can personally vouch for the NY Meritage!! If you find yourself in Niagra Falls, NY you MUST find yourself eating at Wine on Third!!
The wine and food were absolutely delicious! My fiancé and I had such a great time and will definitely be going back next time we are up that way.
The food was delicious and our server Alex was excellent. Her suggestions for food and drink were spot on! If you like pineapples, I recommend the pineapple upside down martini!
Great restaurant in Niagara Falls. The location is on the edge of town where things look at bit run down, so this was a great find. Within walking distance from the Falls. Amazing dishes, fresh ingredients, excellent wines.
Good pizza. Pretty noisy. Did have couple good wine choices
LOVED this restaurant. Our waitress, Coleen, was fantastic. She new the menu well, stopped by many times to see how we were doing, and the food was delicious.
Food was outstanding. The roast beef role ups were one of those meals you would ask for on your way to the electric chair. Everything we ordered was exceptional. They also have a great wine selection. Live music, great food, great wine, and great service, this will be our go to place for sure
A date night with my wife ,
Always great food with great service
Very enjoyable evening. Our server was knowledgeable about the wines and made a good recommendation. Food was good and the specials were inventive.
The bar area works well despite the narrow confines. Pleasing to the eye. Friendly bartender too! Dining area is what I expected, not too big....intimate for a couple, perfect for our party of 6. We passed on entree's because of the quantity and quality of the appetizers. Decor was nice, not overpowering. Server was pleasant and patient with us, (some of us couldn't decide right away). Attentive to our drinks and water refills. Loved the idea of seeing he chef work his magic!
Nice spot. Good food. Great wine list. We will go back
I had been to Wine on Third once before for a girl's night dinner and enjoyed it so much I took my boyfriend there to celebrate his birthday. It proved to be a wonderful, romantic evening thanks to the outstanding food and service we received. As a former chef, he was very impressed which is something to be said for sure!
Found the Open Table for Valentine's Day, for my son and I to treat mom to a night out. Nice art and ambiance. We were seated quickly, and the server was attentive and friendly. The wine - nice selection- and complimentary bread were a good start. My wife's french onion soup was delicious. My mixed greens salad was fine, but quite small. I had the rack of lamb, which was well-cooked but modest in size. My wife's filet was the great, well-cooked and seasoned. My 12-year-old son ordered the seared ahi tuna. When he didn't like it rear, the server promptly had it cooked to well -- broke my heart, but my son was happy. Overall, a nice first experience at Wine on Third. Unlike some other reviewers, no concerns about the neighborhood
We absolutely loved Wine On Third. Food and service was excellent.
First impression-Not sure we actually wanted to go into the restaurant since the surrounding area is less than desirable. This was based solely on the neighborhood location and surrounding bar "joints". We were hungry, had reservations and good friends-we decided to give it a shot. Inside, we immediately felt more comfortable. Clean, nicely decorated, friendly, helpful staff and very nice ambiance. Great having two options.More casual bar style or a separate area to dine should you wish the tone of your evening to be somewhat more refined yet still casual. A very limited menu. Some items shown on website not avail. Despite this-food,wine list & service was exceptional. Just a bit too pricey for location. Loved entertainment. Stayed all nite
The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding. I will recommend to family and friends.
Food was excellent. Wine was very good. Service was wonderful. On top of their game, even though it was mid-week.
We had a wonderful meal and great service. It wasn't our first time there and it won't be our last.
This was such a welcome reprieve from the " glitz" of the Niagara Falls - I honestly did not know what to expect and booked it based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and here. We managed to park right outside the restaurant and got a table by the window. We chose the restaurant - and the service, the food and the wine was all really lovely. When we left, the bar area was buzzing - if we had stayed longer in NF, would have definately gone back.
Best meal we had on US side of niagara falls.
Wine on Third was a great place for my Wife's birthday. They have quite an extensive wine list that is pretty competitively priced. The menu is somewhat limited, however everything on it is very delicious and prepared fresh. The only complaint that I have is that the food is rather pricy. I would expect to pay those prices in downtown Buffalo in an entertainment district, but this is Niagara Falls. Although I appreciate having a nice restaurant in the area, I feel I would go much more often if the entrees were $10 cheaper.
I thought most of the dishes were pretty good. The special minestrone was EXCELLENT and I kept stealing it from my husband. The truffle mac and cheese was tasty, but just a little too much cheese to pasta ratio. It was just a little too rich. The sangria was awesome and the flatbread we ordered was also good. Overall, good restaurant and I would go back. The tapas are not really tapas though. Most dishes were larger than a normal tapas size, and we could have ordered only 3-4 between two of us to be full.
Found the restaurant to be excellent. Prompt and attentive service. Superb food. Good wine selection.Even stayed after dinner to have an after dinner cocktail. Will go again, the next time I'm in Niagara Falls (USA side)
One of the best wine lists and the food was incredible! Will go again if ever back at Niagara Falls.
Wine on Third was recommended to us by our hosts at Elizabeth House B&B and we were not disappointed. We ate on the dining room side, which was quiet. The bar side was much more energetic! The Firestone Reisling from California was the best reisling I've tasted and I usually prefer the German reislings. The clam chowder was delicious. The clams were tender and melted in your mouth. My husband typically salts everything he eats, despite my protests, but he agreed the chowder was seasoned to perfection and needed no embellishment! I had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. My husband's chicken pasta dish was very tasty. Great meal, great service, great place!
This place is GREAT. We loved how small the dining area was by the kitchen and the atmosphere - it felt very intimate and close. The food menu seemed a bit small but everything we got was absolutely delicious. We would never hesitate to go back here again.
We were staying in Niagara Falls, New York and realized the number of decent restaurants in that area is VERY limited. That said, Wine on Third was a wonderful little tapas place. We went on a Tuesday night so the full menu was not offered. That said, the 5 tapas we ordered provided us with plenty of good food. The wine list was good and the pour was generous. The selection of bottled beer was limited... They could carry a few more...Overall a nice place for dinner we will return to try the full menu.
Wine on Third was a great surprie, Not much fine dining like that in Niagara Falls NY,with such reasonable prices, so not only did we rave about the place to our friends, we will make plans to return!!
Excellent food and drinks, friendly staff!
