Wanted to celebrate one of our physicians on her new job at a new hospital out of state. While we were not happy that she was leaving us, we wanted to take her out to show our appreciation and friendship that she has given each of us. The reservations were set up via Open Table and Larry was our waiter. One of the members in our party needed Gluten Free food.... the chef came out personally to discuss how he could prepare her meal and what options he could give her for her meal selection. Larry was extremely attentive to our needs and our meals did not disappoint us. Out of the group of 9... only 3 of us had eaten there. I think everyone enjoyed their meal. We will ask for Larry again when we go out again!
My only complaint was that the food wasn't goid or wasn't seasoned...service and atmosphere wss great..dessert..vanilla creme brulee was awesome..just disappointed in the crawfish Alfredo and shrimp and grits..chef salad and tomato basil soup was okay..maybe will go again and try something different.
We went for Easter Sunday brunch and it was great! They accommodated our group of 13 people at one table, which was really awesome since we drove over from Ruston. They served by buffet and it was a really good selection; it wasn't quite as tasty as ordering from the menu, but it was definitely worth the money. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
Excellent food. Great and friendly service. Eating on patio was a treat. I've eaten there many times and am never disappointed.

Service was good all the way around. Food was good too though one person in our party thought her pasta was very undercooked. I tasted it and thought it was just fine but she complained anyway to the waiter who removed the cost from our tab. Really liked the "Wine Night" special. Will go again

All good. I hadn’t been here in quite a while, as I moved away from Shreveport, but everything was great as it always has been.
Waitress was very personable and professional. Nice selection of appetizers to pair with the main course. All were prepared nicely and to our satisfaction.

Wonderful meal in an elegant dining room. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great place for a special occasion, or any other time too. A cut above the normal restaurants in town.
Stopped by for lunch date on Valentine's Day, about 50% full (was certain to be full for dinner). Restaurant is quite expansive with many rooms/sections for seating and high ceilings. Found the entire property to be immaculate and designed with care. We were seated in a more spaced out, private section (good for couples!) that had a piano as well (possibly have players for dinner most nights).
Service was mostly attentive and very professional, not intrusive but not awol either. Server was knowledgeable about menu items. Staffing level at lunch seemed a bit light (the kitchen was repeatedly calling for servers to move dishes!) - possibly saving staff for V day dinner service. Lunch menu has a good variety of options (including some more casual items like sandwiches) and can order bar menu items as well.
My date and I tried the truffle fries as an appetizer, and we shared a sangria to start - both were delicious, well balanced in flavor and with elegant presentation. For mains she had the crawfish fettuccine (made mild in spice level), and I had the avocado sammy. My sandwich was well made, very tasty, chock full of vegetables and avocado. The bread was soft but hearty. My date enjoyed her pasta - not too creamy, deftly seasoned, good texture, and good amount of crawfish. Wait times for dishes were average length, comfortable for making conversation and enjoying our starter before the mains.
Tab overall was reasonable at ~$50 including tax and tip. Recommended, will try for dinner for sure! Reservations are highly recommended for dinner, easy to make using opentable.
We have never had a bad experience at Wine Country, love the food and love the place. Great date night place to visit!!!
My wife and I ate here for lunch on a Saturday before a wedding. I must say that it really added to the specialness of the day! Great meal!! We are from Houston and this was a highlight of our visit to Shreveport.
Wine Country Bistro is one of my favorite places to dine. There has never been a disappointment in all of our visits. Awesome quality of food, service, and atmosphere for the price.
We met friends last Sunday for lunch and didn't realize that it was brunch only. Everyone was okay with that, so we ordered drinks to start off. The Bloody Marys were fabulous, and we were even more impressed when the food arrived! I had the Eggs Benedict with pulled pork and almost made myself sick trying to eat it all! Everyone raved about their respective dishes, and we even ordered another round of drinks. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful, and we were even pleasantly surprised (and pleased!) to see the check was very reasonable! We are from out of town but will definitely make a point of eating there again!
We have not been to Wine Country in over a year due to a bad experience just after they opened in the new location (cold food and bad service).
We decided to give them another chance and we were not disappointed! The service was excellent. The Pasta Puttanesca was outstanding! I had shrimp on mine and my wife had chicken on hers. My friend's cedar plank salmon was also a great dish. Our food was brought out timely and hot, the portions were appropriate and the prices were reasonable.
Overall it was a great dining experience!
Excellent service. The food is delicious and I like that the tables are not too close together giving the feel of a private dinner.
The gumbo was cold when it arrived so we asked if it could be heated. When returned, it was barely warm. We asked if spinach could be added to an omelet and was told they couldn't (even though spinach was available in salads). I ordered the $14 size of shrimp and grits, when it arrived it had 3 medium shrimp. I had asked for rice in place of grits, which was an additional $2. On top of that, it had no seasoning. While the servers were very friendly, they weren't very attentive. Some tables received bread at the beginning of their meals while others didn't. We did but I noticed others had to ask. This was an extremely disappointing meal. Not at all what I would expect from this restaurant.
Food was good but service was not very good. The waiter seemed off from the start, and was distracted taking our drink order. We placed an appetizer order but it never came. The waiter owned up to the mistake and said he didn't enter the table number. I ordered the Crawfish etouffe Alfredo, portion size was too small for the price. My wife ordered the filet and it was perfect!

We love eating at Wine Country and this was our first time in the new location. The meal was exceptional. However, we did miss the atmosphere of the original location. We had the duck and it was wonderful. We did miss the old way of plating the food (with the tiny cast iron skillet for the cornbread) and the petit steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus and oysters. It was all delicious. We shared a bottle of wine that was $62. We were surprised that it had been taken out of the cellar in the morning and was not stored at 55 degrees until served. We would have loved our Pinot to be a little cooler than room temperature, but it was still good. We also got the bread pudding for dessert and we loved it!
great space and wait staff was great. my entree was not heated through which made the potatoes undesirable. I tried the new grouper selection. the fish was perfectly cooked however, the coating detracted from the dish.
Food was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and courteous, however they were extremely understaffed. Needed twice as many wait staff.
The service was excellent, our waiter was very knowledgeable, super friendly and attentive (can’t remember his name but he was from NY) and the food was amazing!!! I loved that there was a happy hour on Friday’s and wine was on the list- and half price. I loved the piano player and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!!!

We started out with the "Grandma's deviled eggs" with prosciutto, and they were outstanding. I was unsure about ordering Duck, but since the appetizer was so good, I decided to take the plunge. I'm so glad I did! The mean was delicious and the wine we had with dinner was great. Definitely a recommended place!
Salmon is one of my favorite foods, and while I'm not qualified as a foodie, I know when salmon is stale and when it's overcooked. So hooray for Wine Country Bistro - fresh-tasting salmon cooked just right. I'll be back, and I'll count on always finding really good salmon. Many thanks.
Waiter not with it. Food average to boring. Menu never varied. Presentation predictable, dated: like eating a stackables kids meal meant for adults. Felt like an alternative lifestyle hangout in the setting of a chateau style European fine dining restaurant: the 'bistro' part seems lost.
I got the hand cut 14 oz NY strip. It was not trimmed, slightly under cooked and seasoned. A good cut of meat though. Wife got a main entre. Petite fillet with smashed potatoes and asparagus. For $26, that was a good deal. They overcooked the first fillet so the delay earned a free dessert. Frenchman salad to start was good, with granny smith apples and candied pecans. Dessert we had cream brulle and bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. Cream brulle was good, as was the bread pudding, but the ice cream topping stole that show. The major disappoint was I had been looking forward to the vanilla cheesecake, but the server returned and informed me they were out of it.
Our party of 7 were celebrating a birthday. Our food was delicious and the staff was very welcoming! We enjoyed the experience.
We had an awful time with your wine list. All the wines we asked for were not in their proper spot in your wine cellar. It would help if you could keep that updated as well as the wines you actually have as opposed to the list you are giving us. A knowledgeable wine sommelier would have been nice too.
Very good just wish there were more lunch entrees to use from than breakfast.

Had it not been for the fact that the steak that my husband order got sent back not once but twice... our night would have been great. staff was friendly, wine was delicious, my cedar salmon was fantastic. my husbands rib eye was ordered as medium well, it came back WELL DONE and dry, got sent back. he had it redone only for it to come back mooing the second time. he did not want to wait even longer. I had already finished eating at this point. SO, rather than risking a third failed attempt, he went with the same thing I order, the cedar plank salmon. and they didn't even compensate or anything on the ticket for his steak, all they did was deduct 5$. pretty petty for a restaurant at this caliber. 5$ did not cover the time wasted waiting for an order to get done right. We might give wine country bistro a second chance in the future, but not anytime soon. left a bad impression unfortunately. our second anniversary dinner date at wine bistro was not what we wanted it or expected it to be.
