Great food, service and a beautiful view !
Beautiful views, but restaurant interior could use an update.
Good food and beautiful view and the service was excellent
Our reservarion with opentable was for 11am. The restaurant didn't open until 11:30 am. We had to be out within an hour so we left. Someone needs to fix the reservation service.
Love everything about this restaurant. Good service, views, and delicious food!
Food is a bit overpriced, but you are paying for the view. Mac-crusted mahi mahi is wonderful!
Decor could use an update.
Very nice restaurant but a little too loud inside. Love the view
The food was just awful. The clam chowder was from a can. My husband and I ordered the halibut special, the halibut was not fresh and it sat on a bed of mashed purple potatoes (looked like refried beans). We could not wait to leave there, it’s a shame that restaurant is located in such a beautiful spot
The calamari steak was excellent as were the crispy new potatoes. We enjoy watching the harborand the sea lions. Our waiter, Joe, was so attentive, friendly and helpful.
We had dinner last night at Wind & Sea and were expecting a fun and relaxing evening with great food and service. It fell short. The servers in the lounge and at our table were pleasant but the mai tai's in the lounge tasted like fruit punch and the lounge was so loud that we had to yell to hear each other. The dining room was better and the view of the harbor was pleasant but nothing special. We both had the grilled swordfish on risotto. The fish was overcooked but somewhat tasty. The risotto was watery white rice and just terrible. The chocolate ice cream dessert was delicious. Overall, the mediocre service combined with poor tasting food was a big disappointment.
Love the location and lovely views of the harbor. Food was great, service great too. Took out of town guests. Love the half circle booths that allow everyone in the party to enjoy a nice view. Only draw back was an otherwise loud Thurs. night bar entertainment (karaoke) that was festive but annoying if trying to have conversation in the adjoining restaurant.
Always love going to this restaurant! The view is spectacular and the atmosphere is always wonderful!!
Was ok, service was friendly. Food was nothing special and overpriced because of location.

We always have a nice time here. Food is consistently good, and staff is very welcoming.
Go for the view, not the food. Ambience is a bit tired. Would not go again.
We had the best seat in the house! Right corner,. So nice to Watch the boats go by people stand up paddle boarding the food is always consistent we were there for my brothers birthday,.. Ommelkete bar is amazing I personally love the eggs Benedict!
Wish they could add salad bar .
We went there for brunch. The view of the water is what we wanted. The brunch is pretty much bare bones and what you would expect for the low price. Made to order omelet station was pretty good, but the omelets were not folded over, just flipped on to the plate with the filling face down. Pastries & waffles were dry, fruit station had 3 choices available. Go for the view, not upscale dining. Service was very good, coffee consistently topped off and plates cleared quickly. Overall, a nice place to relax and enjoy the view.
The view was fabulous and so was my lunch. Our waitress Christie was attentive and pleasant. The only issue I had was that when I checked in and gave my name and asked to be seated, she didn't note that since my friend waited in the lobby after also giving my name for an entire hour before I walked to the desk and saw him waiting.
My husband and I love coming here and always take out of town guests here. We also love just popping in for a mai tai and a quick appetizer or bowl of their great clam chowder. I highly recommend Wind and Sea. We love the views and watching the seals play in the water right from your table.
Staff was amazing. Decor is dated and needs a refresh
I got the macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi and it was WAYYYY too sweet. Not sure if it was frozen but I don't know how else they were able to get the food out that quick.
Great place good service fantastic food
Good food. A bit noisy
Sunday brunch was so-so. They had a great omelet bar. Waffle bar with limited topics. Main dishes included eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, potatoes, breakfast burritos and a hawaiian hamburger patty with white rice. There was grave but no biscuits?! Fruit was watermelon, cantalope and pineapple. Just thought there wasn't too much of a selection for a Sunday brunch.
Location is great. Server was great.
Beautiful afternoon lunch with great service & food!
Sunset ambience was very romantic. Good food...service was great!
Could use a little updating... prefer Harpoon Henry's for overall dining and entertainment.
Food was good, service was excellent, with the price of the food this place should be able to afford a facelift. Very dated.
Old restaurant. Waiter spilled water down a member of a group and didn’t really seem to care. Food was not that good. Look elsewhere.
The food and service were great , but the hostess could not find our reservation, so strange for an Open Table reservation....
The Wind and Sea is an institution in Dana Point Harbor. It's not trendy or loud. If you would like to have a conversation while a responsible adult brings you well planned and prepared food and beverages, this is the place.
Location location, beautiful view of the harbor, but super ordinary food. When I saw the Ricearoni as a side to my fish, I was completely turned off. Cocktails were only fair too. I was shocked this place was given more than four stars by other diners.
We have dined there many times as Dana Point residents. This time the service was really great but the food was not as good as expected. Two of us had the Alaskan Halibut and it was rather
dry and flavorless -- I think it was a preparation issue. Also the restaurant was pretty open yet
they sat a lot of people close together -- in our case it was really noisy. That group next to us could have been seated a few tables down and still been on the waterfront. The hostesses need
to be smarter about that.
Great place. Just a bit pricey for their Brunch I thought for what you get. It use to be $15 which was a fair price. Not a ton to choose from.
We were celebrating a 7th birthday and our waitress couldn't have made our birthday girl feel more special. What wonderful service! And the food was great too!
Food was cold and very underwhelming. Great view, service is just ok and the decor needs major updating and cleaning. I’ve eaten there 3 times now for dinner and will not go back.
First table to arrive and they turned a rectangular four top into a six for six adults. We were cramped uncomfortable and barely able to get our plates on the table. They have a lot of great sixes and did we get one no and during the time we were there two hours only four other tables were sat. Hello we went at 11 so we could see the view not have half our party with their back to it. Food was just ok and they should not serve a steak sandwich if they are going to buy such a poor quality of meat.
This was our first time here. The food was great. Big portion sizes. Atmosphere was lovely. A live band was playing, so it was great for our New Year’s Eve dinner. Overall great experience at this restaurant.
What a scenic view of the Dana Point Harbor. Menu selection was varied, and food was delicious. Most important, every person (host, server, bus service, and manager) were so friendly and helpful. I'd come back just for the friendly service.
We go to wind and sea every time we go to dana point. We go to dana point 3-4 times,a year. I usually have either the calamari or the sea food pasta. My wife usually has some type of fish dish. All there dishes are great. This time we also had there soup. I had clam chowder and she had the sea food bisque. They were both very good. The food servers we had they were all fantastic.
