Excellent quality Sunday brunch buffet. Delicious food, lots of choices. Love that (non-alcoholic) drinks are included!
Great service & food was prepared well, everything was fresh. Would go back again &there are specials going on everyday of the week
Service was excellent food very good
It was great as usual!
We went for Easter dinner. I called to find out if there would be a special menu for Easter and was told there would be. However, there was not. That was somewhat disappointing.
Our server was very attentive. I always get the London Broil, and it was delicious as always. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie, and it was amazing!!! We ended up sharing our dishes because we loved both! Our waiter suggested a wine that was a perfect pairing. Love this restaurant and enjoy eating here every time we make it back to our old stomping ground of Oak Park:)
This is our favorite place in Oak Park - for the menu, the ambience, the noise level, the staffn especially Dorothy Reid
Always have a good experience here. I had the meat loaf which was excellent. Love the bread as well.
This was my first time there. It was amazing restaurant in a great neighborhood.
Sunday brunch food quality was not anywhere near their regular menu, you literally couldn’t cut the prime rib it was so tough! The children’s fries and chicken fingers were beyond dry and hard!
I called ahead to make sure at my 12:30 reservation we could eat from the menu; upon arrival our server said no not until 1:30. A member of my party has dietary restrictions and the buffet menu offered little to accommodate. 7 minutes later 2 tables next to us ordered from the menu!!
It was an expensive disappointment!
Service was greatly lacking as well.
Great food! Great service! Great experience! Waiter even brought out gluten free bread to the table just by noticing the gluten free menus in our hands - much appreciated!
We had an enjoyable brunch at Winberie's on Sunday. The restaurant was almost full but thanks to an Open Table reservation, we were seated promptly. They have a bountiful brunch buffet which was being replenished and freshened frequently. Our waiter was very considerate and helpful. Diners have the option to order a frittata or several different choices of omelettes. We would definitely recommend the brunch.
We always enjoy good food and friendly service here.
Starter salad was good. Drinks were good. Entrees were good. Desserts seemed a bit phoned in, but overall was very good.
excellent service and wait staff even though my party was more than half hour late they were gracious and accommodating while I waited
Waitress definitely made ya feel very rushed. We had to open a second tab because she closed us out so quickly. When we said no to dessert, she immediately brought the bill. We still wanted more drinks - just not at that very moment.
Winberies is a bit pricey for us so we confine our visits there to special occasions. It combines some measure of Oak Park ambience with informal fun.
It is my girlfriend's favorite place so we go there with a group for her birthday treat. My one disappointment was that like other restaurants,Winberies would not provide a little pastry with a candle on it for her because none of our party ordered dessert.
We paid quite a lot for our dinners and I had hoped we could at least get a complimentary birthday treat for her.
Made a reservation, seated my group of 7 within 2 minutes upon arriving. Food and drink options were very good from burgers, steaks, chicken and vegetarian. Food was excellent, bar service a tad slow for Saturday night. I would come back when in the area.
Good food, excellent service. Winberie’s is a restaurant one can count on.
Good service, good food, quiet night & we sat for awhile. No one hurried us.
We enjoyed our evening very much. Too bad they don’t have a frequent diners club because we seem to go there quite frequently.
My family and I have been frequenting this establishment for many years. It hasn't changed a ton. When I made the reservation, I did indicate that it was a special occasion. There was no reference made to that during our visit and we had to argue for a decent table. It was strange, the restaurant was not even close to full. Our server was pretty awful. I was a server for many years, so I get how it is. Our server told us she was tired and that was obvious. I don't think she smiled once. I felt like we were bothering her. She would disappear for long periods of time. I was looking for her and didn't see her anywhere. Maybe her shift was almost over so she was doing side work? I don't know. It was supposed to be a special dinner and it just wasn't. Really disappointing. Food was pretty good. I love that they have vegetarian AND vegan options. You have to ask to see those menus and they are online. A variety of choices. I ordered the black cherry lemonade. An adult cocktail that was quite tasty. Don't think they could have put it in a smaller glass and it was $10. Lame. My Mom likes to eat there, so we'll probably go back, but I wouldn't choose to eat at Winberies on my own. Bummer.
Nice lunch selection. We consisted of both a meat-eater and a vegetarian, and we were both very happy with our meals. The mini “little something” dessert was great, for when you just want a little bit extra. Nick gave us great service from beginning to end.
Great Sunday brunch buffet. Lots of health options.
The appetizers were great! My entree was subpar. My green beans were cold, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes (they were lumpy and flavorless). The salmon was decent. The desserts we took to go and my creme brulee was just dumped in a big container. My associate had spice cake and ice cream. They put the ice cream in a tiny salad dressing container. It was like a tablespoon of ice cream. I was disappointed by the entree and lack of togetherness of the desserts. We could have gone to TGI Fridays to have better. I would not go again unless just for desserts.
Food was very good - especially because it was hot when brought to the table. Don't like lukewarm food.
Excellent food. Great service. Party of six. Everyone ordered a different meal and we all enjoyed the food. Meat loaf was very good. I will go again.
Dinner was delicious and so was the wine! Yvonne was our bartender and server tonight and we had superior service. We can’t wait to go back again!
The choice was brunch only and I thought it was a bit on the pricey side, I was seated around 12:45 pm and most of the food items looked like they where picked over, the beef carver gave me several skices of beef that was laughable plus she looked like she wasn’t very people friendly, the table set up looked messy foid not picked up around the buffet.
I would not recommend this place for buffet but perhaps just breakfast or diner.
Our family luncheon was perfect. The food was good, the surroundings were quiet and our dining experience was perfect.
Food was good, a bit overpriced in my opinion, but perhaps not for the location / similar restaurants in the area.
Food was exceptional and the drinks were fun and inventive
Service is great! Food tasty. Lovely place to have a conversation
This is one of our favorite Oak Park restaurants. ALWAYS a good meal, and always great service.
Back when they offered delivery through GrubHub, my wife and I ordered 5 or 6 times from Winberies every month. Since that stopped, we only drive the couple miles down there maybe once a month...and Winberries never fails to deliver an excellent meal and wonderful experience.
We always get consistently good food and service here. It’s comfortable seating, quiet, and food and drinks are a good value. The only advice I share is to keep the sitting area updated and clean. Our table rocked back and forth and the ambiance is starting to look a little tired.
Have never been disappointed with Winberie's so consequently it has become a "go to" in the Oak Park area. The service on our last visit was excellent; the server very attentive and pleasant. The food, as always, was tasty, served promptly so still hot, and cost very reasonable.
Service was a little slow. I had the cobb salad which was just ok.
The menu is varied, mostly American. Go for the classic meatloaf. This is not your mother’s loaf. Ground Angus beef and pork cooked in red wine with sautéed mushrooms and onions, served with whipped potato’s and sautéed vegetables. The wait staff was very attentive. We were there with a friend and wanted to talk. The noise level made that possible and we were not rushed when we finished.
Everything was great except the new chicken pot pie. It was served luke warm and had way too many potatoes in it. Our drinks were exceptionally tasty. The spicy mac 'n cheese hit the spot as did the fried shrimp and chicken sandwich. After ordering pie, our waitress returned to tell us there was no pie left. Our creme broulee alternative was tasty.
Went to Winberies for a nice dinner with family and was not disappointed. The service started a bit slow, but picked up nicely once things got going. The food was delicious according to every one in the group, (there were 6 of us). Would recommend for a nice meal with friends or family or a date.
