Winberie's Restaurant & Bar
Located in historic Scoville Square, we're within walking distance of the Frank Lloyd Wright and Hemingway attractions. A wide variety of wines, a full bar and a "classy, yet casual" aura makes us the perfect place to drop in for a meal, a brief afternoon indulgence or a late night cappuccino and dessert.
Lovely place and food. HORRIBLE SERVICE made us late for our concert, and we had alerted our server to our timeline. I could go into detail, but, having read other reviews stating the same problem. Been wanting to come here for years; unfortunately, never again if I can avoid it.
Great lunch experience. Neighborhood gem! Service was fabulous
Great local restaurant to get together with friends. We didn't feel rushed and were able to enjoy good food and catch up with friends
I truly enjoyed the Sunday Brunch - great variety of food offered.
I'm glad so many others had a good experience here, but my time here was pretty crappy from the moment we sat down. I dont know if this is typical, but we had two different servers flip flopping throughout the meal, and neither of them asked if we wanted another glass of wine or dessert. Just plopped the bill on the table and walked away. Once we walked back to the car I realized why we had such terrible service.... there was our waitress waiting for the elevator at the parking garage leaving before us, she must have been in too much of a rush to actually do her job.
Winberie's is typically a real winner (pun intended). We have eaten here several times and had exceptional service and food! This past time the server was super friendly and fun, but she also made some errors in our requests. They were fixed quickly, but still a bump down from the typical 5 Star service we usually get there. We'll be back, but we will likely as for a different server.
I forgot to have my card punched! There were 11 of us!
The food was great the atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was excellent. I will definitely return.
Warm Cozy environment, diverse menu and great food.
Excellent food & service. Very pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Prices are reasonable . Large portions.
Haven’t been there in a while, but definitely will go back! Food was tasty, server was knowledgeable, atmosphere was nice. All-around great evening!
Ive been visiting from out of state for the last two weeks I have eaten at Winberies 3 times. The food and service were great. Thank you for a wonderful time.
We loved having so many options in the brunch buffet. They will also prepare omelettes and eggs benedict to order as part of the prix fix. Servers at the buffet were knowledgeable and helpful. Tableside servers were stretched thin and couldn't check on beverages very often.
Good place for brunch with kids! Something to eat for everyone.
My husband 50th Birthday
Food was good, not great. Tables/decor could use an update. Server was very nice but hard to track down for refills on coffee (never actually got one) and the bill. Brunch was a little pricey again given the quality.
Everything was delicious. Our server was a young man who was new and he was outstanding. He was very attentive. I think his name was Noah blondish hair. I live going there just parking crazy. That is why we do Wed or Thurs nights
Friendly helpful service. The pick three lunch option is fabulous!
Excellent, attentive service. Delicious, generously portioned, entrees. Out of this world Mulligatawny soup. I could have made a meal out of the bread and soup alone! Our server was incredible. Drinks/pours were generous. We had been there once last winter .... I'm sure we'll be back more.
Five of us met for a reunion of sorts (we'd all worked at the same org.) And we had a fabulous time. Perfect service, delicious food and we never felt rushed. Thank you for a memorable evening!
Everything was top notch at this very comfortable and convenient restaurant. The lunch menu has many options from which to enjoy. The "pick three" was a great choice: soup. half a sandwich (large), and a side (salad, vegetables, fries, etc.). Our server was terrific. Highly recommend for a good value, tasty, pleasant meal.
My friend really liked the mac and cheese. My quiche wasn't good. It wasn't fresh and it wasn't hot enough and it was a small serving.
I had the rice bowl with chicken For the first time and it was fantastic.
Attentive waiters, good service, reasonable prices for the quality--whst's not to like.
Great place! Good food, good service. Up beat atmosphere. Our group requested multiple substitutions and the server was happy to accommodate.
Server did not follow explicit directions ie having the to go request ready in a half hour after food arrived. I needed to leave but he hadn’t placed the to go order yet.
Also, I was planning to give the server a 20% tip but he came back with no change so he would receive a 26% tip.
If he had honored my earlier request so I could leave in a timely manner I wouldn’t think twice. But don’t manipulate me into tipping more....
Consistently good food and service. can always count on Winberies
Always a solid choice; good menu and service.
Everything was very nice. Food was good, service was great. Definitely would go again.
Great local spot where food is consistent and the service is always professional
Overall, Wineries lunch for our table of 7 people had small portions and was not particularly good tasting. The restaurant was quite crowded causing high noise and busy wait staff.
We had a party of six and had a great time and it was such a huge selection of food to choose from and everything was really great
Fathers Day Brunch. $150+ for three adults of which only two ordered simple cocktails, one a piece. The buffet was not kept as 'tidy' as I would have liked to have seen, nor was it refilled in a timely fashion... always something missing from a platter. The noise level was too much to have a relaxing brunch let alone conversation. I have always liked Winberie's, so I feel I am being fair to them when I say their brunch needs to step it up a bit.
This is a very warm and charming restuarant. The Brunch is fantastic and very fairly priced. Our waitress was attentive, professional and friendly. Planning to return often.
Outdoor seating was very nice. Drinks and food excellent. Always enjoyable!
Went for brunch. Everything was fantastic.
Went to Winberie’s to celebrate a birthday and upon a slightly hesitant recommendation received.
Service was great upon entry and at the bar, somehow once we got to our table it took our server some warming up. Very delayed to bring out bread and take our meal order, after rushing the drink order – a bit backwards if you ask me. The food, now that was very good – we did take some recommendations. For a party of 4 we ordered 1 appetizer: dynamite sticks 3 entrees: Cajun mac and cheese, steak frites and the niçoise salad. I did have to order the French onion soup because the reviews rave about it – and YES YES YES, one of the best soups I have had in the past couple of years.
The place is pretty dated, the crowd much older, not many people on a Tuesday night – not sure we are rushing back, OK maybe for the soup.
Delightful experience. Food was great, service too. The ambience is lovely, and it’s quiet enough to hold a conversation!
It had been than 20 years ago since I ate at Winberie’s and then it was for a Sunday brunch. 20 years lapsed because I thought it expensive for what the fare was and less than mediocre. 20 years has changed nothing. A turkey club sandwich for our lunch had something that looked like melted cheese which was supposed to pas for real turkey which was never found. The kitchen was slow. The pot pie was ok but not worth the $15. It comes solo. No side salad, nothing.
The iced tea was flavored and passable.
It will at least 20 years again before returning. Ok ambiance but nothing special. Oak Parker’s seem to love the place. I am glad they do.
