Willow Creek Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We will go back, enjoyed the unique food choices and the view. Our service was slow, perhaps because most of the servers seemed to have tables both indoors and out. One entree came at least 10 min after the others making it awkward. Love the ambiance both indoors and out.
Willow Creek is among our favorites. We've never been disappointed. We celebrated a birthday this time, and managed an outdoor table for 8 (reserve as early as you can to get patio seating because this restaurant is always busy no matter what day you go). Food was outstanding, and the service, as usual, was excellent.
Willow Creek never disappoints! The menu has offerings for all, including gluten free options. The salads are delicious- Oh the Palisade roasted apricot salad is a must, don't miss it. The atmosphere is fun, casual, vibrant, with awesome surroundings, especially if you sit on the outside deck. Fit for foodies- there is not a weak main dish! Warm bread made on the premises is awesome! Wine list impressive! Make a reservation and make sure not to miss out after making the journey! Always a special place to take out of town visitors! ! ! May happen to become a family favorite that is visited time and time again as well.
Great menu choices with extensive wine list. Food choices and specials vary so repeat visits are always interesting. Service is always professional but friendly. Desserts are great. Disappointed that they do not serve Espresso and that they dropped Amex as a payment choice.
The Willow Creek restaurant was in a beautiful setting, with views of Evergreen Lake. Service and food were good, but we thought it was quite overpriced. Risotto $23? We probably won't return, because when we spend this much, we expect something way out of the ordinary.
Ask for Kevin and be bold let him pick your menu. He did an amazing job. Great waiter understood the menu well. Love that restaurant; worth the drive to Evergreen. Order the appetizers with plantains - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have celiac, they had gluten free options to every meal.
Our first time and we loved everything about it. The view, the food, wine, etc. was excellent. Our server, I believe his name was Kevin, was outstanding as well. We came up from Denver for a personal/business dinner and no doubt will be back. Thanks so much!
Made reservations for Mother's Day. Got a call about 4 days before the reservation that I needed a credit card to hold my reservation & if we don't show or cancel too late then I will be charged. Went ahead & gave my card info. I always check out menus before I go to a restaurant. This one had no mention of a "special" Mother's Day menu online or when they called to confirm. When we got there, we were greeted & seated. Then given their "special" & limited Mother's Day menu. I ordered the Cesar salad (no croutons & add bacon) for $15 for the salad & $6 for the bacon add on. When the salad came out it had croutons & no bacon. That the nice server( about the only nice thing I can say about this place) promptly fixed it, but was brought back & you could tell they just picked out the croutons & chopped up 1 piece of bacon & threw on top. The worst part of my now $21 salad (which is normally offered for $8 on their regular menu) is that it was the size of a side salad. In fact I have ordered side salads that were larger than this $21 salad & I've never paid $6 for 1 piece of bacon in my life. Next issue was they said they had only a verbal menu for the kids choices. We were told they could do a kids French toast. We ordered 2. Now, the kids did enjoy the French toast, when we got the bill we saw that they were $15 a piece. A bit overpriced for a kids French toast & I beleieve that is the price of their normal French toast. Everything else was just "ok" besides me never getting my iced tea that I ordered. My moms fish was tasty. Too bad they hike up & almost double the prices to take advantage of a special occasion day. We will definitely never be back because of that, along with the lackluster food & service. This was the worst Mother's Day brunch we've had.
Waited 15 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation. Once we sat we waited forever for service. We finally had to flag a waitress down just to get menus. Then our waitress was too busy to take care of us so the substitute waiter took care of us and reminded us each time our waitress was too busy. Food was just okay.
This was our first time to try the restaurant. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed, not by the food but by the service. We were seated promptly but waited 20 minutes until we were asked for our order. We were told the kitchen was backed up. They did try to satisfy us by bringing some complimentary lemon scones but it was still a frustrating wait. Food was delicious. Drinks over priced ($3.50 for iced tea). Ambiance was tops. I'd go again but not for Sunday breakfast...too busy and too long of a wait for food.
We had Saturday night dinner at Willow Creek. On Sunday when it was time for lunch we decided to return. We sat on the patio both meals. It's a nice patio with a great view where we didn't feel we were seated to close together with other parties. My cocktail from the specialty menu was interesting & tasty. My beet salad was fabulous. My entree (soft shell crab) was good but I wouldn't order it there again, seemed a bit greasy. My husband's tenderloin was very good. My Sunday lunch was tasty. Our service at Willow Creek was ok but nothing special. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated, has a lovely bar & big windows overlooking Evergreen Lake. Flower arrangements were everywhere & were beautiful. I will return to the restaurant when we're back in Evergreen.
We've been going to Willow Creek for many years. This dinner was to celebrate our 34th Wedding Anniversary (which we noted when we made our reservation). The food is always, creative and delicious. However this time, the service was well below par. We asked the waiter to explain a couple of the entrees - he couldn't and said he's ask the chef - when he came back to the table to take our drink orders - we asked about the answers to our questions - he forgot to find out. Many diners around us had bread/butter delivered - we didn't, and arrived prior to the other diners. When my husband ordered his oysters - he asked for fresh horseradish - was not delivered with his order. The owner, Kristopher, was walking around and we asked her for the fresh horseradish - my husband got tired of waiting for it and just ate the oysters without it (it never was delivered). Over the years the bar scene has kinda overrun the restaurant to the point that you can barely hear each other talk above the din. We will give it another try - hopefully, this review will improve the service.
Our FAVORITE restaurant. After close of business in Denver on weekends, we find ourselves passing our exit and heading to the Evergreen exit instead. We love the attentive staff and beautiful location. The owners are the salt of the Earth. It really doesn't matter what we had while we were there; we recommend EVERYTHING! WARNING: Once you've had their peanut butter cups, you'll never look at Reese's the same. 😁 Thanks, folks! We love you!!
My wife and I drove up from Littleton because we had been here before and wanted a way to share our 48th wedding anniversary. Great views, great service and an excellent wine recommendation. It was all perfect. Thanks for being a great restaurant in Evergreen.
Went there for Easter Brunch. They had a great salad and appetizer buffet. We had five choices of entrée and we as a group chose three. We all agreed that the food was bland and really had no flavor. The service was very good however. Overall it was not worth the cost of the meal.
