Willow Creek Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We had been gifted a voucher to this restaurant, so decided to have a meal out. We hadn't been to WC in a number of years. Atmosphere is very nice, nicely decorated, with pretty touches, & quiet. Service was friendly and fine, tho the kitchen seemed to be slow that night. We took advantage of a new "5280" menu promotion, which is 3 courses for 2 people for $52.80. It was an excellent value, particularly because the food was underwhelming. Fried artichoke appetizer made the artichoke lose its own flavor; bed of greens was fresh and crispy. Trout entree: The fish itself was good, but the sauce was much too rich with cream and also too salty, tho the nuts and pomegranate seeds as garnish were a nice touch. Risotto: again, nicely done and presented, but not exciting or memorable, as would be expected at a place of this caliber and price (if a la carte). Panne cotte was good, berry sauce on top was excellent.
Great lunch destination. Made a reservation but it took quite a while to get our Hostess to seat us. We are waited on promptly and food came out quickly the omlete special was great as was the pulled pork sandwich, but service later was lacking. The other staff seemed a bit rude.
We dined here for brunch. The plantain appetizer was amazing. The french toast was very different as it was made with cake versus bread. It was very good. The burger was also very good.
The restaurant has a great view of the lake and outdoor seating. The service was strong and attentive.
I would easily recommend this restaurant to others.
First of all, the atmosphere is so warm and lovely. Some of the food was really good, (the cauliflower salad and the cheese flight) some was just ok (scallops and rabbit pasta). Our server left plates that we were finished with on our table and didn’t come by much. When she put down the cheese flight, she didn’t tell us anything about what was in the plate. The strangest thing is that we were there for our anniversary, which I let them know through Open Table with our reservation. At the end of our expensive meal, they gave us a “free appetizer” card for our next visit. As this is an expensive restaurant, we won’t likely use it before it gets lost in a drawer. It would’ve been great to have this gesture applied to our actual anniversary visit. I guess it’s good marketing to get us to come back, but just struck us as strange. The meal was very expensive... we could’ve eaten a better meal for less money.
Willow Creek is our favorite restaurant in the foothills. The food is excellent. The menu is not extensive, and I appreciate that this restaurant does everything well that is on the menu. One thing would make it better. The menu has not changed, at all, in over 12 months. Some new ideas occasionally would make this an outstanding place to eat.
I want to start off by saying how great my visit was to Willow Creek. That day was my only day off to have a solo relaxing day to myself. The employees sat me outside in the corner over looking the water, and I LOVED IT! I knew I would be there awhile, so my lovely blonde hair server did not rush me once, and gave me the greatest service. She was absolutely amazing. She kept the glasses of wine coming my way and kept me relaxed for my special solo date to myself. The restaurant is amazing and I now remember why it is my husband's and I favorite restaurant! Thank you all for making it a perfect day for me.
We had not been in a few years and were blown away by how good everything was. We had two appetizers that were fabulous. The house made mozzarella and the plantain dishes were excellent. We both loved our entrees of steak and trout. The atmosphere and service were spot on. Can't wait to go back.
The food here is fabulous. The beet salad is scrumptious, with a delicious mix of flavors, as is the duck risotto. The desserts are large. We should have ordered one for the two of us, but we got both the chocolate bomb, and the sorbet, made in house, with big pieces of whole berries. The sorbet was the winner! Out of this world! Casual yet elegant atmosphere, and not too noisy. Service is excellent. We will be back!
Our experience this time was not as it has been in the past, a little disappointing. The staff seemed lost and slightly overwhelmed, we could feel it. The plates did not have that nice finishing touch as they used to. I had a glass of wine that was such a small pour I had to say something, which you don't want to have to do. When they called to confirm they noticed that it was our anniversary, not a word was said. They were off and I'm not that excited to go back, too bad!
We went for Sunday brunch, made a reservation for 2. Location is nice by the lake and restaurant is well designed and cozy. We sat outside at a 2 top with no umbrella. Was fine until sun rolled in, we requested another table, there were several empty, and we were told we couldn't change, which was odd, but we dealt with it. The restaurant is busy, and they are popular, I get it. But our server seemed more annoyed than anything and the staff seemed under under par compared to the quality and price of the food. Typically a foodie spot has exceptional service, and our experience was less than stellar. The food was the savior, as it was perfectly cooked and surprised with flavor. Maybe it was the brunch crew that was below par, but I would recommend for the food.
Great place to enjoy views of Evergreen Lake while you have a delicious meal! The atmosphere, service and location are phenomenal - and the food just seals the deal on a fantastic dining experience. The scallops were perfectly seared, and the flavor was spot on! We came up from Denver for a day-trip and it was a perfect close to a wonderful day.
