As for setting maybe one of the best in the state. No matter the season beautiful view. Unfortunately menu is tired, dated and overpriced for the offerings.
This restaurant is always amazing, great food and wonderful staff. It’s our favorite place in Denver.
We were placed at a table in the middle of the room where all servers walked past us. There was a door open somewhere in the kitchen that sent a cold breeze across me. I had to wear a jacket all evening. We ordered our food and it didn't come for 45 minutes. The waitress apologized and offered us an extra glass of wine or dessert. I chose the wine and my companion chose the dessert. My wine was brought, then we were told only one thing could be complimentary, so no dessert. The meal was good but not wonderful.
Great food, great service, and enjoyed the ambiance!
The best restaurant in Evergreen!! Took friends with us and they loved it!!
Great food and service
It was a lovely and quiet evening. We were very lucky to have a “secret” coupon to enjoy dinner. The majority of our food was very good. Our server was Andrew and he was very attentive and professional and friendly. His knowledge of our dishes was helpful.
Wow! Very delicious. The Mardi Gras Gumbo had an amazing richness from the great roux and stock. The Brandade Fritters were out this world with Proscuitto, Piquillo Peppers, Herb Remoulade, and Smoky Paprika Oil. The Scallop entree and the Beef Duet were amazing and perfectly cooked.
The food was great, but way overpriced. I took my wife there for her 70th birthday and did mention it to host at door, but nothing was done for her. 5280special was over $ 100 and did not include wine or dessert.
Call and see if they have whats on the menu that you want, second day of resturant week and they were out of three menu items. Remind em to bring you a salad
We had a fantastic evening. The food and service was phenomenal.
My husband and I came here for a romantic night out. We were disappointed in everything but the gnocchi. The Caesar salad had way too much dressing on it and both my husband and I found the the end of the romaine lettuce in our salad. The scallop and risotto was not very good. It wasn’t very flavorful and the risotto was over cooked. The gnocchi was delicious!! The service was okay. It took a long time to get our drinks but everything else was okay. The server was good but didn’t have much of a personality. We felt like we spend way too much money for what we got.
Beet salad was best I ever had!
Have been patronizing WCR for many years. The last 3 or 4 times here it has become clear that the food quality and the value, given the decline in quality, is just no longer there. great location, great ambiance, great people....but you still need to produce high quality food that is either creative and good or solidly tasty and exceptional. This restaurant has lost its way and needs a serious reboot and evaluation of its purpose.
Awesome brunch. Service was outstanding. Bar tender was also our server. He made a “surprise “ cocktail for one of my friends that was outstanding. I look forward to going back for dinner soon.
This is my absolute favorite place to eat in all of colorado. I typically have a 5 star experience every time but this visit wasn’t quite the same. My SM brut was flat and my beet salad w/ scallops wasn’t as plentiful as past experiences (still delicious as ever.) Of course i’ll be back (likely next weekend,) and have the same thing i order time and time again with the hope it’s as amazing as previous visits. Thanks!
We thought the menu was a bit limited, but overall the food was good. The scallop udon dish was tasty but there were only two scallops in the bowl (plus one pickled scallop, which was interesting but I could do without the pickling). Biggest complaint is that we definitely felt a wave of cold air coming in every time the door opened, and we were seated towards the middle of the restaurant. If you go on a cold night ask to sit near the fireplace...
We love everything about Willow Creek. Whether you score a seat at the bar or reserve a table, the ambiance is always charming, warm and inviting. The food is consistently fresh, seasonal and of high quality. There seems to always be something new on the menu to try which never disappoints. The wait staff is appropriately attentive and friendly. We enjoy trying the growing restaurant scene in Denver but when we choose to stay close to home, Willow Creek gives us the same quality of experience.
Best restaurant in Evergreen! The food never disappoints me, the staff is always gracious and attentive (without being over bearing) and the ambiance is beautiful regardless the time of year
It was the day before Valentine's Day which is when my husband and I normally go out. We were seated at a table for two, saw two of our friends, and decided to join them. They moved us over and we enjoyed our evening. We always enjoy going to Willow Creek. It's one of our favorites!
We had a nice pre Valentines Day dinner at Willow Creek. The waitstaff seemed quite overwhelmed, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drink order. My husbands salmon was burned on one side so he had to pick around that. All in all we enjoyed our dinner, we love Willow Creek, it just seemed as though the restaurant was understaffed.
We were in to celebrate valentines a bit early.
We so appreciate the teams ability to get roses for the table as I had requested. Thank you.
The food was fabulous.
It appeared that the restaurant was short staffed as it took s long time to get our cocktails and dinner.
Thanks for making our evening special.
We have dined at Willow Creek for several years. The menu changes perodically and has never disappointed.
We were so disappointed in the service Saturday night. We have dined there in the past and we’re really looking forward to the birthday celebration but the waiter basically spoiled the evening
I love Willow Creek and eat there often, especially for special events. Food and ambiance is always outstanding, service can be slow but that's okay with great ambiance. I was disappointed though because I made note on my Open Table reservation that this was an anniversary dinner and requested a table by the fireplace. Clearly staff either did not get the note or disregarded it all together because nobody at the restaurant acknowledged the anniversary and didn't even sit us close to the fireplace. Interestingly enough, there was an open and set up 2-top right next to the fireplace that went unused the entire time we were there. May have to look elsewhere for my next celebration or use a service other than Open Table if notes are not making to the restaurant.
I had lunch at Willow Creek with an old friend whom I hadn't seen in quite awhile. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy lunch and have a good visit. Our waiter was very attentive and yet not at all intrusive. We had a lovely table by the window. I had the chicken sandwich and my friend had the roasted beet salad with added salmon. All was very good, although the bun for the chicken sandwich was huge and made it necessary to eat the sandwich with a knife and fork - which isn't that big of a deal. The restroom was clean and we loved the decor, including the copy of Weathered Wisdom, a volume of daily poems, from which we enjoyed reading the poem of the day.
My friends and I had a wonderful brunch at Willow Creek. We were celebrating a birthday. Service was great. When we asked about what was a missing ingredient in the omelette special we were given a substitute ingredient even though the menu was mistaken! That was great service and our omelettes tasted even better
Our favorite restaurant in Evergreen! Fabulous! Thank you for another special evening :-))
Great service, awesome food
Great all the way around!!!
Everything was good, apart from the amount of time it took for the food to come out of the kitchen. It took probably 40 mins to get a chicken sandwich and a classic breakfast. That was disappointing but the food made up for the wait. Hopefully we won’t have to wait as long the next time we visit
The food was completely amazing! I called my daughter and told her she must check it out. She is an appreciator of extraordinary cuisine. The is a must go place. Put it on your list!
Went to Willow Creek to celebrate New Years Eve. No prices were list and menu offered several pre-selected items where diner could choose from this 4 course experience.
The items on menu to choose from looked good however when food was brought out, the food was underwhelming. Many courses appeared and tasted to have been sitting out too long. Gummy and cold chocolate crepe, rubbery tenderloin, stale bruschetta and over salted bisque.
Food was not a high point and extremely overpriced.
The best part was the opportunity to see fireworks shot off over the lake accross the street at the Evergreen Lake House.
Our dinner was absolutely wonderful at Willow Creek! We were meeting with our Minister and wife for wedding planning. Restaurant was warm and inviting and we watched the ice skaters on Evergreen Lake during dinner. The waitress Kendra brought out complementary champagne which was very sweet. We enjoyed a scallop entree and a sole special - which were both outstanding. My only complaint is that we didn’t save room for dessert (which looked amazing!). Can’t wait to go back for a delicious dinner at Willow Creek!
Very disappointing this time. We have the Christmas Eve menu which sounded great, but....cream of broccoli lacked real flavor. Warm cream is good but it can be dressed up a bit. Truffle carbonara was very good but lacked any truffle taste. Gnocchi was horrible -- over cooked with consistency of paste. Goose dish with red cabbage was traditional. The red cabbage and potato dumpling were excellent while the goos was overcooked and dry. Oysters were fresh although served without the forks. Prime rib was good but server "forgot" the horseradish accompaniment. The Yorkshire pudding was a scrunched up disappointing representation of the real dish.
The ambiance of this location is great and I would probably go back but I have to ask if the chef and team over reached or maybe were just tired and not interested.
This evening meal was a misstep.
Poor Management and Service with inconsistent food. And even though i made the reservation on Open Table, they would not hold my reservation without a prepayment of $50 per person. My beet salad was good but everything else the three of us ordered was just adequate. The kitchen and servers mixed up one of my gluten free courses with another order. Then they mixed up my husband's bacon free entree with someone else's. For two courses we were missing essential silverware. I would never go back.
Always beautiful people, food, atmosphere and experience!! Never disappointed. Always exceptional!
I took a friend to Willow Creek for his 80th birthday. We often go to Willow Creek for birthdays and anniversarys. This visit the service was very slow. My friend received the wrong item for his lunch. Another problem this time was that the light was so intense from the window that my friend kept scooting his chair around the table to get out of the light. There should be a blind or some way to block the light. I personally would have developed a migraine if I had had that much light in my eyes. I will be back to Willow Creek again. I espeically love when the outdoor deck is open. I do think that my friend was not so impressed with this visit.
Great atmosphere and very attentive staff!
The waiter had actually read the notes regarding my dietary restrictions and was able to rattle them off the top of his head. He offered suggestions on what might taste good and ultimately the kitchen produced a wonderful tasting, textured meals
